Fuddle enjoy the lights and drinks after, sounds like a fab weekend :)

Well I went out and the company was really ending up laughing.
The restaurant was appaling, we ordered our food by 9 and didn't arrive till half ten. By the time we finished eating it was 11pm, them kicked us out and tended up going to a pub because they was a 45 minute wait for a taxi.
Had a pint and a half, came home and OH said you look wrecked how many you had. Told him and said im going to bed. Spent s whopping £30 on meal, drinks and taxis.

Just spewed my guts up so guess I've got the sickness bug now :(
Feel like my stomach is twisted urghhh

    good morning all.

Mum is a lot better now and home again. She has a really bad cough but the antibiotics are definatley kicking in, and she is feeling a little better.

We have neighbours, they moved in yesterday. They always say hello and have apologised everyday for the noise as they are decorating etc, I did explain we aren't home as we are often at work and not to worry. Was nice of them to be concerned tho.

Last night on my way home from work I was stopped by the police. He asked where I was going where I had been. I explained where I worked, and then he realised he had had to attend an incident while I was on shift. He just said be careful, and reminded me to lock my car doors. I do anyway, but that's because I panic when I stop at traffic lights, or I am in a queue. Think he was looking for drinkdrivers, I was just pootling mainy as I was tired and the other was I was singing to the cd on in the car!!!

Well I am going to attempt to wash my car, it Is caked in mud from the country roads. Now I am not good at it, but a car wash is nearly £5.

Right must get dressed, see you later peeps.

I reckon the mud protects the car from fumes and salt and stuff during the winter nuttyp... at least, that's my excuse for not washing it!

    You sure? ;)

    Hello all

DD1s birthday was a success, she was spoilt rotten by friends and family and we all went out for a meal last night. Came home for indoor fireworks, puddings and a glass of the fizzy stuff, a nice way to round off the evening.

Got friends coming this evening for a game of cards, the house is still tidy, there's no washing up as we were out last night and I plan on opening a couple of bags of nuts and crisps, chopping some veg and whipping up a couple of dips for tonight so a nice easy day is planned.

How am I old enough to be the mother of an adult?

Arrgghhhh! I've now lost two attempts at posting.

Thank you all for your kind words and advice with regards to Noreen. I still feel guilty about not going to see her as chances are she has no visitors, but as DH pointed out, at the end of the day I was only her neighbour. I did so much more than I was obliged to do and I know that she is now somewhere safe and is happy there.

    Get well soon kezlou xxx

I am so glad that your DM is doing better nuttyp

Pooky It sounds like your DD had a fantastic birthday :)

fuddle I am so glad that you have settled so well in your new home and that you have such good letting agents.

I am sitting here and trying to ignore the fact that I am desperate for a wee. I have to go for a kidney and bladder scan this morning to rule out a problem with them causing my high blood pressure. So nothing to worry about, but I have drunk what seems like a lake of water and now feel like I'm trying to hold back a waterfall. Add in a cough and I'm not at my most comfortable. I'm really hoping that the clinic is running on time. Sorry if that's TMI.
Once that is done I need to brave a trip to Toysrus and B&M to get more stocking fillers and a few larger presents to add to the stockings for family members. 12 stockings made and only 5 to go :D Along with 5 bags and 2 crayon rolls.

I've told DS1 that I will start mince pie making tomorrow so he is as happy as a 17 year old is willing to show. December 1st is also the start of shortbread season :D DS2 and I don't like mince pies so need an alternative.

Time to gingerly get ready to go.

    Take care everyone xxxxxxxxx

I love haggis, very filling. We're going over to Aldi on Monday for essential festive supplies, will see if they've got any in but it will most likely not be in until after the year.
Essential supplies = cake, cake and probly more cake. ;)
Knitting like mad here to get a pile of pressies done. Teacosies to give with teapot, teabags, home made sweeties, and cake. Gloves socks and santa stockings. Oh and hedgehogs in pink & purple eyelash yarn. With eyes. :D
Asda visiting me tomorrow (I hope) with a big load in case the weather turns bad.
Oh and the postman has just brought me some very nice Shetland wool. I am a happy wee Mard :D
