Oh julliettet, I shall now be melting a mars bar for toffee sauce! Hmmmm

Mar have you done yourself a pudding? I expect the Pyrex dish is only big enough for one. Poor RV will have a wait a bit... But he can dream of shiny and m&s while he does. I bet his head soon wanders to the delights of home made grub though ;)

School visits today. Eldest DD is in a CofE school. I'm CofE but as you all know not practising. I have never experienced such warmth in a school environment. We visit youngest RC school on Monday and hope for the same. The schooling issue didn't go as planned and caused me quite a bit of upset but I think this result is far better than the one I envisaged and hoped for.

My bedroom is now complete, along with the living room. The tin of paint we got to refresh marks on the walls of the north east house has done both rooms thankfully. Now we're very nearly there (just the girls' bedroom now) I will tell you that when we walked into the house last Saturday we found a very dirty, unkempt house. I couldn't see any of it upon viewing because she had so much kit up against the walls. The dirt and grease, holes in the wall, mould etc as well as pet mess and smells almost broke us after that drive but with our agents help and hard work we've just got on with making a home. My neighbours are really lovely, retired and bubbly. The one to our left is older and keeps herself to herself as she's Northern. She's waved at DH and took a double take at his accent when he said 'morning' so I think we might be ok with her too ;) we've friends already in the cafe - a French couple who use the same letting agents as us. I speak to more people here than I ever did in the house we had previously.

Looking forward to starting my training next week.

OS wise, well it's more so finding vinegar is actually quite good at removing mould spores. Some places I bleached but others near carpet I used the vinegar. Our second hand fridge freezer is working so well. We're not able to use the night storage as it needs testing but we're finding nights much warmer here and find we sleep with a window ajar!

My car insurance is £15 less month just because I live down here and that is with 'business' cover because I will moving from house to house with work.

Enjoy your weekend. We're walking into town to watch the Christmas light switch on then to the local with the girls as we've been invited to drinks for our letting agents birthday.

I'm not yet regretting my move and with everything we've still had to sort and still need to sort I don't think I will have time to experience the lull and sad feelings. I am pushing myself to meet and talk to people but so far I've not been too troubled by it. I want to do it :)

Sorry mar - despite making the kids "pudding for lunch" I caved and made them something "proper" for dinner.

Well done Fuddle, enjoy the Christmas lights.

SDG , try not to let it upset you after all you did to help. Some people eh?

Princess, think I saw something on the news about a man being arrested after a fight over cut price TVs in Asda. We have avoided Black Friday - I'm sure most of it is one big marketing ploy to part us from our money.

Evening all, been caught up with RL for a few days, but finally got a spell to catch up.

Congrats to fuddle, the stiltys, everyone else with good news, and big hugs to the poorlies (())

SDG, can only echo what the others have said, Noreen's family need to step up to the plate and take care of her. You've done so much for her, to the detriment of your health.

Went to a PTA meeting at school, heavily publicised, and I was a third of the meeting, embarrassing turn out! I know everyone's busy but a few minutes of time to help your child's school wouldn't go amiss! Sorry, off soapbox now! :D

DS has discovered we have a branch of Poundstr€tcher, so we are happy bunnies, :j

Gah, wrote a long post, pressed Go Advanced and the expletive lot went.
    SDG, hugs.
Fuddle - onward! It all sounds good.
Sponge - pud makers, the same mix does for microwave cup cakes too . Use two or three paper cases inside each other if you haven't got silicone.
New washing machine - brilliant. Will save me a lot of money in being able to combine 2 washes into 1. Also far less time needed to dry in tumble drier. The spinner on the old 13 y.o. machine had become very inefficient. I have never had such moisture free washing. Felt slightly guilty at not getting the old one repaired as it had never broken down but it sounded quite terminal and something else would surely have gone soon.

I've taken out accident insurance for the new machine; I've had experience of rogue bra wires in machines before and that is an accident.

I discovered that the same insurance policy, that I have for my cooker, had saved me a call out charge of £199 when it broke down a month after the year guarantee ran out. Eek.
