    Xmas Saver!
We have a saying in my house.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

So, what is said on a blog stays on a blog.

As you know I don't post on here often. It goes to fast for me to catch up, but I must say I have been saddened by recent comments. Its not the thread I like to pop on when I can, at the moment.

I agree with own my own and what others have said. The atmosphere in here has changed for the worse and that's sad. Ive no idea what has been said, so can't really comment on whether it's right or wrong, but agree with the poster who said that sometimes we have a rant to friends and that they may say things at that time in anger that they wouldn't like to be gossiped about. Think I've got the gist of that right.

I think everyone deserves to be treated with respect and some people are just following the rules of their job and may not even agree with the rules.
However, I do know that at a certain job centre near me, they treat the benefit seekers like dirt. There isn't any compassion and I have heard that from long term job seekers and professional people who have been made redundant so it seems to be across the board. There is no excuse for that.

Just wanted to say that to put another side to what may have been being said. But can we please get back to our nice supportive thread. I know I don't post very often but I do love reading along.

Hope I didn't come across contradictory in my last post. Have just read it back and I seem to be saying lets move on but then put my two penny worth in. Esther x

Just a quick post for those of you who have a hankering to see the Illuminations, they are on until 10th November this year, slightly longer than usual.

We've got a beer festival this weekend, it starts tonight and we'll probably pop in tonight for a couple (as its 10 minutes from home ;)) and then we're planning to properly visit on Saturday

DH has sorted out our energy suppliers; we're all on track for the house purchase (signing my life away tomorrow!) and I am trying to get some Christmas presents sorted while it's relatively quiet.

BTW, has anyone "seen" JackieO recently? I haven't noticed her posting anywhere...

ESTHER you've been brave enough to actually say what lots of us have been feeling about the content of this particular thread of late, thank you for bringing it out into the open discussion. I have very much sympathy for all our trials and tribulations collectively and will always try to uplift and support anyone feeling sad and troubled but it has felt a little of late as though there is a small competition running as to how difficult things are in some of our lives. Sometimes that is actually the case and kind words and active support make the difference in how we feel and how we react to adversity. Let's try to make this the pleasant and welcoming thread it has been in the past and to that end I wish everyone with problems, no matter how big, no matter how small a swift and speedy improvement in thier lives and happiness and sunshine for all to make them content again.

Welcome to PONDSKATER, it's very nice to have new friends joining us, post when you feel like it, it's just nice that you've popped in to say Hi!!!

Sorry, mine isn't the best due to a sacroiliac joint disfunction flare-up, otherwise I'd send it down to you!

Its been a bit like that Monty Python "When I were a lad we lived in a cardboard box in't road..." sketch :)
  • I haven't a faintest idea what blog everyone is talking about, But clearly its rattling feathers, I agree with everyone. This thread is for us all to support and guide one another. For many (Inc myself) we come here knowing that we can get anything off our chest's and head back to our real life's refreshed.

How about someone boils the kettle and we get back to "normal" ??
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy
