Of course if you moved close enough to visit I would be willing to make a mess of my kitchen to feed you :)

Blimey :O I had a super good day at the market this morning, and last night at the WI thing was OK too. Twas half term, so lots of holiday makers about, quite surprized really, as I though loads would have been put off by the weather! Only down side of nearly selling out was that I've had to bend OH's arm up his back as to what to eat for dinner :p I only had a tiny bit of lentil shep pie filling left in a tub and even less mashed potatoes, so I had to bag that as it's GF. He's got two pasties, coleslaw and tomatoes (poor hard done by little blighter!) I took my prototype bag along to show my mate on the meat stall next door, and she asked me if I'd make some with a cow on...was thinking of doing some for the other stall holders anyway so will do that, they are going to tell me what they want me to write on it. Their cow logo is a childlike drawing and will make a good applique.

On the way home from market I headed to DD's as she left a bag of things here at the weekend, and I was driving behind two blokes moving a rather decent pine wardrobe into the local charity furniture shop on a trolley. I parked up at DD's and nipped back round the corner, to get the price, as I knew DD was looking for a wardrobe (£50) so I told him to hang on to it for a mo, nipped back and got DD, she said yes...so they loaded it back on the trolley and took it straight round LOL. The BF had been making noises about getting a flat pack one, but DD is her father's daughter (he's a cabinet maker) and thinks flatpack furniture is the work of Satan. It's a solid piece even has proper drawers (no runners) and they can always burn it to keep warm :rotfl:

Anyway, I'm half tidied up from the market, my dinner is in the oven, I'm going to have a hot bath after and an early night cos' I is knackered. Will finish off tomorrow, and I have to take Mattie to the vettie person late afternoon, so hopefully will get a chance to fiddle with some more sewing :j

Cracking spot Katie!! And no MDF in sight ;)

    Kez, have PM'd you :D

Need to go and sort myself out... I had a hole in the sleeve of my cardigan which I sewed up this morning before I went to work... As I was dressed when I did this, I also managed to sew my cardi to my t-shirt :o :rotfl:

floss - you muppet! Thanks for the smile though.

Sorry didn't check in yesterday, we survived the party, mostly everyone was lovely even DH and BIL had a good chat but it appears SIL isn't speaking to us, not a word either day! Her loss, snooty wotsit!

Car still not back from garage so face probably having to hire one again tomorrow to get to stay and play as DD will be distraught if she can't go and have supported place already booked as well. Done sums and cheaper to hire car than taxi it. Not enough arms/hands to do public transport plus couldn't get big buggy on so would have to carry DS (2 1/2) about a mile!!! so no way could do.

Hope all well - hugs X

stiltwalker - have a look if there are any offers on hire cars - it was cheaper for me to hire for a week than five days (I would have needed a week anyway to get sorted) and also the place I hired from were offering dual control cars on rental at £9 per hour - buy one hour get one free - would that work for you?

Kidcat - I had a good look round when we had one at the weekend but they were all more expensive or so far away from us that it was no good, we're pretty much out in the sticks but do have a local garage that does hire fairly reasonably. We seem to be outside the delivery zone for the cheap deals. £9 per hour sounds pretty good, but saying that we'd need 6 hours so £27 and can hire one locally for a day for £33, won't 'need' a car again til Monday although I really hope we have ours back for the weekend so DD can go to her riding lesson. Just fed up we seem to have such bad luck with cars! Thanks though lovey X

Stiltwalker - I know exactly how you feel, I havent hired a car in years, yet have had to do so twice in a few weeks, am so grateful I finally got big car sorted and can function properly again. Struggled last week with the hire car, which whilst lovely served as a good reminder of why I drive a tank with sliding doors :)
Hope you get your car sorted quickly :)

    Just a flying visit -
Popperwell, good for you to lock in to 2017. I expect they have to offer you some of your money back after it has built up to a certain amount. We've had money back before.
Been a gorgeous sunny day here so I got a good blast of sunshine at lunch-time. I'm not sure what the forecast is for later.
We had fish cakes from M&S for tea yum yum.
Just had cocoa and am off to bed with my book. I am still in one hour ahead mode and am tired out by this time!
    Have a good sleep all
