morning all!
guess none of us have been able to sleep, been awake on and off since 11pm. finally gave up about four this morning blurghhh
floss thanks so much for the info:D
yep what can i say whereever i go trouble follows :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It was a good weekend, saturday spent all day at the pleasure beach and can fully recommended the big pizza place in there. unlimited pizza / pasta / salad buffet and unlimited soft drinks. Oh and really really warm ahhh heaven. flossy will know what i mean :rotfl:
Sunday we just buzzed about the beach and things, ds2 favourite thing to do. Saying that he started flying at one point so funny, all i was mammy mammy i'm iron man :rotfl:
The waves were spectacular it worth going just to see them. Ended up in the laughing donkey where we hid for a while before heading back to the site. Left on monday about half eleven, most of the roads were on high alert so we set off earlyish and arrived back home for half 2clever d!ck decided to go the leeds way instead of the A66.
I know one thing i'm doing a kidcat next time, has any ever noticed that they OH kicks off more than a child does? Its mad. Normally he wanders off with his family this i was stuck with him
Well i'm totally shattered, have to take ds2 to camhs today, not a good combination and promised ds2 this today if its in stock. All our games have been destroyed when the garage leaked. Poor thing been asking for months. but we'll see what the bank say *gulp*0 -
OMO thanks for thinking of them, yes they did arrive safely in Paris after many delays on the train to London and actually got the Eurostar they had tickets for. It was a very long day yesterday for them and I finally got a message from DD at 10.30 last night (thier time) to say that at last the kids were settled and the staff were looking forward to hitting the hay as they'd all been up since 3.30am the previous day, I should imagine they were exhausted poor things, hope they have a nice day today and enjoy Paris, Lyn xxx.0

monnogran the wedding sounds lovely
sq,cheapskate and stilty well done on the costumes and parents evenings!!!
princess know what you mean i've been trying to sort ours out arghhh
pops the local HA have a social responsibility now to check on tenants to make sure they are safe and warm. This is all due to the rise in utilities etc By the sounds of it they probably making sure your all right. They have to do this, regardless of whether your GP says your fine and coping well. A few of the elderly neighbours i.e over 70 have had visits here, the staff even brought a little parcel of teabags, coffee, little sachets of milk and biscuits. Sounds patronising i know, but at least it shows they care and are doing they jobs properly. If they didn't do it they would be accused of negligence.
hope your enjoyed you birthday mrs c xx0 -
Washing done and oot, sun shining, wind blowing, and drinking my 900th cup of tea. Onwards lol0

Monnogran, I wondered how your 'homeless' would be coping during the storm on the island. I hope they are all ok, and appear at the drop in centre safe and sound.
Mrs LW, paris sounds like it is wonderful. I hope the weather is kind to them.
KEZ, glad your much earned holiday was nice even tho you have an OH live mine who wanders off.
I have a meeting today at work to finally give an official written statement reguarding said collegue drinking alcohol at work. Seems my outburst has been taken seriously, and action is being taken.
Back to work tomorrow, I have enjoyed my time off, but reality is I have to go to work. Must go and get my hair sorted, washing machine is nearly finished. take care xBSC member 137

Nutty: Congratulations and celebrations la la la la la!!
Glad you enjoyed your break away kez (even with OH doing his thang!) and welcome back
Monnagran - the wedding sounded wonderful, full of personal touches. So pleased you all had such a special time. Now you must take a breather!
We survived the storm in Essex, others in different parts of the county not so lucky unfortunately. My neighbour's fence collapsed and I was a bit worried about her coming home in the dark to find it - she is the end terraced house and there is a path to the side so a bit vulnerable security wise. Got hold of her at work and she sent her dad and her DD's boyfriend round and between them they fixed it.
One of our tiles (wall not roof, strange house!) fell off the day before and DH patched up the gap before the storm - looks very bodged but it will have to do until we can afford to get it fixed professionally. I was worried we would loose more tiles in the storm as we have lost 3 altogether this year.
Actually found some extra energy yesterday to spend the day cleaning and tidying the house to a reasonable standard ( I use the term reasonable loosely ha ha.) It has been very neglected for weeks as I haven't felt up to doing anything other than the basics. Looks so much better and hopefully can continue to declutter/deep clean after half term hols again. DS9 had a friend over yesterday and his mum accepted my invitation to stay for a cuppa and ending up staying for a few hours so was glad the place looked decentish.
This afternoon boys and I are meeting a friend and her son to see a film, Tuesday are half price tickets and then off for a burger and then a play at friend's house. The rest of the week we won't be spending much money. Weds weather forecast good so will go to park or woods and maybe the dreaded haircuts in town. Thursday Halloween costumes, decs and pumpkin making day before trick and treating with friends. Friday seeing more friends again park if weather is dry and play at one of our houses.
This is a 5 week month pay wise and 2 direct debits for bills have come out both end of September and today and DH not paid til Thursday grrrr. Lots of extras this month like a new tyre and renewed driving licence amongst other things, had to dip into savings pot yet again. Feels like we will never get our house repairs done but I know everyone is in the same boat. Will just have to learn a few new OS tricks!
right enough waffle, washing ready to peg out and need to wash me barnet
hugs to anyone who need them, take care everyone

bluebag I'm with you on the oil can. I know now what a rusty gate feels like when forced open.:eek: It's a difficult balancing act as you say. I think the hands are among the worst problems because it's just so limiting when they don't operate properly.
I'm like that ginnyknit. Will forget how hard it is to do a particular thing til am partway thru then just HAVE to persevere and pay for it later.
I wore the pressure/support gloves the OT gave me all night as knew would not sleep otherwise. Trouble is I seem to take them off in my sleep and then have to scramble to find out what did with them.:rotfl:
Hester my sympathy to your hubby and a well done for the fence.:T
Sounds a lovely wedding monnagran.
So glad you had a good weekend kezlou.
pops I find I can only do one major thing in a day then have to rest and potter.
The sun is shining here this morning but am sure the temperature has dropped some. Still its nice to get the veranda doors open and let some fresh air in. The postman has just delivered what I think must be my new Whistling Billy kettle :jso am off to play with it. Have a good day everyone.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -

Morning everyone.
I think that there must be a sleep curse somewhere because you's aint the only one's suffering!! Its even affected our doggers!
Yawnnnn....
Today I was meant to be helping brother. We arranged that he would be at mine for 8am. Still waiting. I just got a text saying that he is extremely poorly (Man flu it is then) and that he's running slightly late. Only two hours...
Managed to watch the OCD ward last night on channel 3. OH watched it with me and said to me. You have half of those issues. Really, Never knew that....I've only been experiencing OCD for the past 3-4 years whilst we have been together. I'm yet to watch the last half of the programme so that's something I can do later.
I have my appointment tomorrow. OH suggested that it might be wise for me to use today to write down what my triggers are and that way if i'm in a state tomorrow (Having to go on my own which is a trigger in its self) then at least she can read down the list and understand.
I've also been looking at our debts, Spurred on by nuttyp's post and now we are 3 payments short of one of our biggest debts. I understand that its not as big news as nutty's, But the fact that she has been open about her problems with debts has gave me the kick needed to deal with ours. Now, The money we'll be saving is going right onto the next biggest debt.
Baby-steps and all. xFuture goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0
