    Congratulations Nutty. :T

(((HUGS))) PrincessX. Can't give my opinion of HMRC on a public forum. It's disgraceful to treat you like that - just covering up their own inadequacies!

OMO hope you are taking proper care of that injury. You don't want to let it get infected.

Glad you are so organised pops. I used to be when had the family to think of but now there is just me I tend to let things drift. Must get self pulled together.

Made big pan of veg soup today. It's delicious but hands have now seized up. :o

Well done doing the soup with the dodgy hands, I have to strike that crazy balance between doing enough not to stiffen up and not doing too much and crippling myself.

All the veg peeling and chopping is quite a thing when you don't have the best function. Sadly. I appreciate what a task it is.

Could do with an oil can like the tin man some days LOL.

Goodness me. Only been absent for 2 or 3 days and it took ages to catch up - and that was just a skim through.

Nutty: what a weight off your mind. Well done you for sticking with the plan and emerging triumphant.

I've been 'weddinged' up to the eyeballs. My DS2 was married on Saturday and it was beautiful. Mia (13 months) toddled up the aisle holding the hand of another bridesmaid and behaved beautifully. My autistic DGS (12) was an excellent best man. He was handed the rings at the last minute and he handed them over to the Rev saying under his breath, "Here you are, Turnip," which is what he calls her.
Everything at the reception had a seaside theme as they live almost right on the beach. The room was decorated with bunting, the table decorations were bowls filled with sand, shells, pebbles and a tealight. The cake was cupcakes decorated with icing shells and pebbles. All the tables were named after places on the Island. Everyone was happy, the bride and groom who have known each other since they were 14, (now 40 and 41) were very much in love and the best man gave a rollickingly good speech.
The only slight downside was that most of the guests had planned to stay over the weekend and go home today. However when they heard the weather forecast a lot of them scuttled off on Sunday for fear they wouldn't get off the island.

I had the two children to stay with me and they were as happy as sandboys. They both slept all night - more than I did! - even though it was the first night Mia had ever spent away from her Mum.

    Today I slumped.

Tomorrow we revert to what we laughingly call 'normal'.

    Stay safe.

Monnogran, the wedding sound lovely! We had a Blackpool theme for ours - rock for favours, attractions for table names (Pleasure Beach, Illuminations etc.) and a recitation of "Albert and the Lion" as an interlude!

Hope you & the Rev's parishioners have survived the weather ok. Currently wet & blustery in Blackpool...Kez picked a cracking weekend to visit :o
