Thanks mrslw & fpk. I feel like a bit of a plonker, Because compared to many on here my dental phobia is nothing. But, I know you lot support us all for the little things too.
Welcome nana to 4, it’s lovely to have you on board. I’m pretty sure in the following weeks you’ll become a valued member of the forum!! We would love to hear more about you.
So, I have a S/C page on my fb, They are all raving about a dish called pulled pork. I think this is something that we’re going to like therefore giving it a try - When I finally get moving and hit the supermarket for the pork! Has anyone tried it at all? Would like some feedback.
Thanks for the tips about my white jeans also. I’ve tried nearly everything now and its still there like an eye sore, So I think the only possible way for removing it maybe bleach.
Sods law that this morning when outside with a cuppa, I noticed that our rose bushes are growing better now then they did in the summer, So they need another chop down because I’m hoping for some real beauties this coming summer. Anyways, Off for now, Better get a move on or nothing is getting done.Future goals:

I think I do agree on a large percentage of what is said, we need a kind of centre policy politically not too extreme left or right.

Princess,
Pulled pork is delicious! It is also a great way to tenderize a cheaper cut of meat, although the quantities that are usually served don't necessarily make it economical! You can serve it on baps/barm cakes (will all of you folk please just agree on what to call those bread things?:rotfl:) with or without barbecue sauce, ketchup or in a British twist Brown sauce. Coleslaw would be a traditional side dish for those. You can also serve it in tortilla wraps with shredded cabbage, fresh coriander and a bit of cheese if you like. Salsa is nice on those.
Leftovers can easily be used in a stew with root veg, or made into a sort of variation on a goulash.
Yum! If we weren't still trying to keep our meat very minimal I'd want to make pulled pork this weekend!0 -
Keep hearing of Pulled Pork something to try in the future.
Talking of roses on gardeners question time someone said the roses wer still looking great this late in the year and hardly any blemishes, its been a strange one for gardens this year."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Oh, Princess, I also once had pulled pork in something called a papusa
(See here http://southamericanfood.about.com/od/snacksstreetfood/r/Pupusas-Stuffed-Corn-Tortillas-How-To-Make-Pupusas.htm)
It might be a little challenging to find the ingredients here although I know it can be done. However, this makes me think the leftovers might be nice in a sort of pasty. I think the possibilities are endless!0 -
had pulled pork for first time at brother's wedding (they took over their local pub) and it was delicious, certainly wasn't any need for "left-over" recipes!:AA/give up smoking (done)0

How are you this morning Kidcat?0

Morning everyone, had a lovely evening with eldest DD and her fianc!. We all had a fish n chips supper, was lovely to sit n natter. Youngest DD managed 2 and a half hours at the party and then asked to be collected, shes 18 but not a party animal at all. She borrowed a dress from her sister and looked stunning - very grown up.
Dd is at work today, its raining hard. OH is attempting to wash my car, in the rain haha. We live near farms so get lots of mud on it.
Work have called already, said collegue was 'attacked' and is awaiting the police. So it looks like I need to go in early again. This is defiantly a new excuse, usually she is in hospital!! The reason I say excuse is because yesterday she was drunk in town with her new fella, when she was suppose to have been 'attacked' by her ex in the next town. Well more hours for me.
This has been reported again, but things are happening. Will post later whats happening, but it ongoing....
Monday me and OH are going to covent garden in London for the day. Will pack picnic of sandwiches and drinks. We are going sight seeing. I have little money till payday, but it will be an adventure!!
Right must get dressed, and pack some tea.
take care everyone xBSC member 137

Hello
and a big welcome to Nana!
Hope you are ok this morning kidcat? let us know how you are doing?
Princess - well done on braving the dentist. I don't have a dental phobia but dislike it to the point I would rather have a smear! I do as I am told though and get checks up for both areas.
Cheapskate - I'm with you in trying hard to kick the black dog away. I am coping at the mo by writing down little lists to get me through chunks of the day. Included in the lists are small tasks or parts of bigger tasks and downtime eg. sitting with a cuppa, just watching the washing blow on the line after I have pegged it, sitting with the kids watching TV for 10 mins etc. I am not looking too far ahead but I jot down ideas, other chores, things to do another day on a piece of paper to clear my mind and put the paper away so I don't dwell on it. Sending you a big squeezy hug.
Fairy - well done on your class observation :T
How are doing Kezlou?
Not feeling very inspired today, feeling like the weather, rather gloomy. However doing what I can to sort myself out. Up at 7am, had a leisurely breakfast and read of a newspaper DH picked up for free then plodded on with morning's chores. DH had a bad night's sleep so left him to catch up this morning. I am typing this in bed with a milky coffee and a few choccy biscuits I found hidden away in my bedside drawer (sssshhh!) I tend to get on with chores on a Sat morning whilst DH either sleeps or sits in front of PC for hours so I figured the household would cope without me for an hour.
Right got to get up again, get dressed(didn't want to wake DH until he got up so have an excuse
) and help DS9 with homework next. Might pop to shops to tick some non-food essentials off my every growing list. Feel a bit stir crazy today. Then off to see some free fireworks this eve with the kids. Need something exciting for once to do in the evening! DH and I might be a middle-aged couple happy to stay in but our children need a bit more somtimes, I have to remind myself of that.
have a good day everyone0
