AOT, it's tipping down in Lancashire toocan i just please come and on and scream.:mad::mad::mad:
Just had a phone call of the council regarding my rent, turns out i owe £657.34 worth of rent. I swear i nearly crying down the phone. I asked how, i've been paying it every month.
Well guess what one of the witches , whom i trusted with my bank card to pay the rent didn't pay. Instead they kept the the money to themselves. I'm am fuming.:mad::mad:
Best of all can't get it back because i gave the card and pin number hence it was my fault. I do take the blame, i should have checked. Daft thing is this is back from july and they never me till today.....
....Also panicing because same witch was supposed to pay the balance of my argos card a full £600.00 just hope shes actually done it.
Kez, :grouphug: Why don't you just ring the Police on their non-emergency number and speak to some one for advice - at the end of the day, isn't it theft & deception on the witch's part? And can you get the balance on the Argos account too, just so that you know the worst possible scenario?0 -
Kezlou that is theft. As Rosy advises cancel the card and go to the police immediately!!!
Pops, fewer number of buses on an evening was one of the reasons I had to leave work as I would finish at 9pm and may not get home til 10.30 - I only live a twenty minute drive away from office but had two buses to catch. Neither of them ran frequently after 6 and their timetable did not connect.
Its still not raining here so washing is out - don't know how well it will dry in cold wind though.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -
BURTHA: so glad your news is better than expected.
KEZLOE: how awful. Dont know what to say other than what has already been said. Do ring Argos, you need to know what has happened there. Ring the police but I expect it will be your word against hers and you gave her your card. But they may be able to do something. So sorry that someone you thought you could trust has betrayed you and left you in such a mess. Esther xSecond purse £101/100

Kezlou - Rosy's right - tell the police & cancel the cards. Check with Argos & whether its paid or not cancel any card not in your possession.
I'm not sure what to do in the aftermath but maybe Citizens Advice could intervene & help???

Kezlou I would be going straight to the police.
How long ago was it that you gave her the card and pin to pay the rent for you and the Argos card, the bank may still have the CCTV footage of her getting the money.1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

Kez - I know you don't like confrontation, but if you have a supportive friend with you, why not ask her, in public, what she did with the money you gave her to pay the rent, as you've just been told it wasn't paid. Ask her where the receipt is, and suggest maybe she got the account number wrong, so you need the details so you can get the money put back in the right place. At least that way people will know...
And check with Argos whether that's been paid - chances are it has as they would probably have been in touch quicker than your landlord.
Can you set up a DD for the rent in future to avoid relying on other people?0 -
I've phoned the police again and they have said because i gave her my card and pin number they is nothing i can do because it was consensual. They were lovely on the phone though
The card has been cancelled, phoned argos and yep i over £600
Apparently they have passed it over to a collection company as the debt had not been paid. So waiting for a phone call back to see what they can do for me. I explained the situation and they were being really nice over the phone as well. Oh and waiting for a phone call back about the broken oven i got off them.. Blumming door came off.
Thanks everyone i was just offloading and no one in the real world knows about this. Just goes to show how you can be manipulated to such a degree that this happens. But its in the past.
I'm thinking of it this way, could have been far worse, if they had went to social services and kicked up a fuss, my boys could potentially have been taken away from me. So i'll accept the debt and keep my family together.0 -
They have opened an account for me using all pay to pay my rent directly to them online. Theres no set date, i just log in and pay via card.
So thats something at leats.
I'm not going to bother greenbee, its just too much and she would get a kick knowing that i'm the poverbial !!!!!!.
Rather keep stum about and not speak to her.0 -
Possession - drookit is much the same as droont. Think about it lol
BURTHA - had to just pop in to check you were OK - and you are totally right hon - if its going to be anywhere that is the very best place for it to be. They will only operate if they have to - so fingers crossed that your MRI shows no growth in the next six months.
Mar - we have a pub here called "The Drookit Dug" - with the most miserable wet doggie on the sign. Lots of drookit dugs up here today.

Oh Kezlou - such a hard lesson to learn & such a nasty thing to do to someone who's not in a position to fight back.. I dont know your circumstances but is there anyone in a more 'official' capacity that could give you some support?Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
