Morning everyone.
Hey Kezlou, Nice to have you back.
Its been a miserable night for OH with this stinking cold. He’s managed to make more noise then needed during the night therefore sleep has been broken and we’re all feeling slightly ….Today.
Busy week ahead for us. So using today to get everything in order for a such smoother week. I’ve got mountings of washing & ironing to do, But feel truly lazy today. Plus it’s the idea that I’ve had wet washing in the house for the past 2 days & I’m worried the damp & mould will appear, Also, Starting to question whether the damp will make things worse for OH & he’s chesty cough?
Anyways off for the morning cuppa & get the pooches walked. xFuture goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -
The best thing to do for stress, fuddle and gailey and all, is to remember that nothing lasts forever,, the good times or the bad. Look out of the window...look at the sky, the clouds, the stars, the birds... Everything is movement, nothing static. The seasons change, the world turns. Just endure the bad days in the sure knowledge that they will pass!

Morning All,
Gets no better, they've called to check the drains and now decided its a water board job and at least 5-6 properties affected:mad:Typically, most properties are not accessible and people are out so I have no idea what happens next."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. What a lovely post, thank you, reading this has made my day0 -
Morning, ive had a busy morning so far. decided to go to the doctors and got there at 745am. We have an open surgery, so just added my name and waited. I got to see the new doctor, and he has prescribed tramadol for the kidney pain. If I get a water infection or anything else I need to go back asap. I had to collect some other stuff too so it came to nearly £40. I cant afford to be ill too often!!!
Pops we get the same problem with next door, she seams to flush anything down the drain. They tried to get us to call out the drain people as we are council tenants, but we didn't and they ended up calling. They had to pay as we were ok, but they weren't.
Today I am resting, I have a lovely fluffy blanket and I am laying on the sofa.
Have a good day xBSC member 137

Good morning
A great post Mar and how true, "this too will pass"

I haven't slept since 2am and have 2 shivery, lethargic children off school today. thank goodness they're as puffed out as I am.
Some lovely words mar, they match the scenery pictures you share on FB. Lovely.
I've downloaded a free relaxation app and kindle downloaded an anxiety self help book based on CBT. Interesting to read that medication is used as a tool to calm you down in order to access CBT and not a crux for dealing with anxiety for life. That's good to know because it means I don't need to be medicated at all because I'm ready and willing to use CBT to get rid of this awful learned behaviour.
Already had a tustle with the letting agents this morning. My rent is due to come out of the bank tomorrow - 15th - 15th. We move out 5th so 10 days less rent needed. I called last week and again this morning asking for the figure of what rent we need to pay to reflect this. Their answer? Leave the direct debit, we'll take the full amount then work out the amount we owe you when you leave. My reply again. No, I'm cancelling the direct debit. I will pay what I owe tomorrow face to face when I come into the office. I suggest you have the figures ready as I'm about to go to the site office to explain the potential problem to my landlord. Their reply? Yes Mrs Fuddle, we'll have it ready for you tomorrow. They get business out of 6 houses from my LL and I know that they are treading a fine line in keeping his business. Handy being friendly with your LL.
One time I would just do as I'm told but no more. I'm not paying an extra £180ish when I don't need to then be waiting for them to get their act together to pay me it back when I will need the money in order to move.
Mince and onion gravy bulked out by oats with cheese scones and frozen green beans for our tea tonight. Fancy making flapjack and custard too.
Dreadful day - worried about drying washing. I may need the heating on
What is the saying 'starve a cold, feed a fever' or something? What does it mean?0 -
NuttyP,
Take care of you...I hear kidney stones really really hurt. When I first took ill with my Kidney Disease 17 years ago I had severe pain all the time.:(
Now its the long wait for the water company:mad: I could do with some basics for meals and if I thought they'd be awhile I could go there and be back for them or leave access for the garden.
I have heard I was missed last night at the bingo night and where we usually do well on the quiz, usually around 18 correct, my friends only managed 4.
I have signed up for an energy plan that means prizes are frozen until March 2017."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Fuddle, I think it's the other way round: "Feed a cold, starve a fever"; I think it means that with a cold you should keep eating a bit, whereas with a fever/temperature, you probably won't feel like eating anyway - tho' of course it's very important to keep drinking plenty and not get dehydrated. Do hope you all feel better very soon. xx0

Fuddle have you looked at this page which is CBT-based? You may well have done because I'm pretty sure it was recommended on here and now can't remember by whom (apologies!). https://moodgym.anu.edu.au/welcome0
