Well, that's my night cancelled...I was about to go out to the bingo and my neighbour informs me that the drains are blocked and at least 6 properties are affected. Think they hope its mine as renting it will cost them nothing but if it isn't the Water company get involved.
However it means I have to wait for a phone call and then be told what happens next.
I was going to leave access to the garden and go out but as I have to wait for the call I have given up the night. Glad I wasn't seeing a show or I was out for the day. I had to phone where I was going so they could cancel a taxi that brings me home and they did not think I missing because I am ill again. Things happen in threes, what next?
I had the health problem Thursday, Now this...that's two down...Its personal but I don't need to use the toilet too much being single(not a family)I haven't cooked anything in fat for ages(and that goes in the wheelie bin so I have no idea what's happened)Most meals are not even cooked."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. pops,
sometimes these things just happen, happened at my mums some time ago, seemed to take them the longest time to find which drain access they needed, but once they did it was all sorted and back to normal in minutes.
Sad about the Bingo though.0 -
As you say it could be worse...just taking it easy. May cook a meal after its all sorted. Listening to easy listening music on the radio as I used to do before my Sunday nights out. I usually record what I miss and listen when I come in.
All sorted before Winter really sets in.
Update:They never called back...I chased them. They're not coming until morning so I could have gone out after all."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Gailey,
The panic thing is probably because you are tired and stressed, but it might be good to see your GP and mention it.
Good news about the jsa.
Don't worry too much about the smoking, it's difficult to give up at the best of times and with all the stress you are both having it's pretty understandable, see if maybe he could roll his own of cut down a bit.
Try and get a wee nap in the afternoon or after tea to help you keep up with some sleep.
Keep your chin up. one day you will look back and smile at it all.

Hello all,
Hope your all well, havent been on for ages, so hello to any newcomers
Been mental here, I'm officially part of our local steering group. so my face has been plastered all over the conference screen projector:eek:
finally thats over with so my meetings wil l hopefully reduce now.
Started volunteering with the school, had our first night last week. It was mental, I was in agony afterwards. Successful though and my eldest received so much praise, really proud of him. When ds2 joined us at 6 pm he was very clingy and needed lots of support and reassurance. It was just to much for him. next session is on thursday so hopefully will go well.
the coffee morning I set up with my friend is again today. My second one, received messages off a lady asking if she could come. Scary. Ds2 will be there pd day. Just hope the library is organised this time and ready for us.
Kidcat don't know how you do it all. On friday I came back fell asleep and missed our social group!
Well going to attempt sleep stupid body waking me up at half two. Only been sleep 2 hours grrrr0
