Congratulations Mr SQ and the kitten - thank goodness for both bits of news. x
Sugarpuss, pain is hard for anyone to cope with, we dont mind listening if it helps get it off your chest. You should treat it regularly with eating strawberry crumble, it may not cure it but it helps your spirits.

Well work finished and I'm having a well earned cuppa.
I also print recipes and put them in a file . The best way I can describe it is that it's a display book-wipe clean- it has about 25 plastic wallets in it and I pop the recipes in there. It's A4 size and I've had it for a few years now.
I also have a mild obsession with note books.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Morning all.
I've been really busy this week and really haven't had the time to come and take a read of the thread, Will try later.
Just wanted to update:-
My cat came home, It seems she was locked in a garage. She's been great, Eaten loads & is now having breakfast!! :j
Off to my brothers today. Its move in weekend. Its came around so quickly but with the rush that baby may come sooner rather than later is giving us all the energy boost that's really needed.
We're having carpets fitted in their house today. Cooker & fridge freezer is already there, Waiting on my OH to wire them up.
Washing machine is due on Tuesday and their new bed is also coming today.
Its only been the passion of everyone helping & providing that their now able to call their house a home. My SIL parents are still refusing to help. So, Its down to me & my side of the family.
Hugs to everyone that needs them. I will have a proper read later!!

Morning everyone!
Congratulations Mr. SQ!!! I know what you mean about being more excited than he is SQ--my oh is like that too. The cakes sound lovely, quality control is the best part of baking!
I'm a bit better rested today, but I think it will take a few more days for me to catch up. I hope the rest of you had a peaceful night without too much pain (or firecrackers!!!!)
Princess--what great news! I'm glad kitty is home and that everything is set for the big move in.
Thanks for all of the recipe file suggestions! I've got one that was an attempt at printing off, but I'm always reluctant to print things off the first time I try them and waste the ink and then once I've got them on a scrap of paper I just keep using the scrap. Often unlabelled, with lots of the directions omitted. I tend to just write down amounts and anything that is unusual about the instructions. My poor OH. Anyway, I think the file will be a good present so I'll get a hard book this weekend when we're out.
The last wardrobe is finally finished. There are still some minor adjustments on the doors, but those can be done even with the clothes in so I can start putting those away. Will work on that a bit during my breaks today and hopefully get it finished this weekend. Then it is on to hanging the pictures and mirrors and then I do believe there will only be two to three boxes left to address, unpacking wise. One of them has my sewing supplies and the bits of fabric and old clothes I save for projects. I've already partially unpacked it to do the curtains.
Just normal work today and possibly a trip to the gym now that I'm not so knackered. I skipped Wednesday because I was so tired, but hopefully will feel more up to it today. I feel lucky that we have a local leisure centre within walking distance with very reasonable prices. The facilities aren't very nice by any stretch of the imagination, but the council almost closed it down which would have left us without anything until 2015!0 -

Wonderful news. When they go missing you worry so much and as the days go by it gets worse. It is just lovely to hear she is back where she belongs. If only they would learn not to do it again
My monsters have obviously decided sleep for humans is unnecessary. Last night we had the growling and thuds as they threw themselves round in the hallway. They had brought in the teeniest shrew and boy was it active. I caught it, then it jumped out the container and vanished. Gave up, went back to bed, then the growling again. Up again, chased it around, lost it under the fridge/freezer so back to bed. Growling again, so up and I caught it! Released in the garden in the rain, which was somewhat of a shock to the system when you're not wearing a lot ... :rotfl:
Trusting the fluffy kitten has a reassuring check up at the v.e.t.
Well, off to work now. Not sure how I will stay awake.

PX87 so glad that the kittie is home and well, I think the message is never give up hope with cats, they don't ascrible 9 lives to them for nothing!!! Well done all of you for rallying round and making the new home happen for your brother and his wife, they are lucky to have such a strong family unit behind them and also Hugs to you, because you are just as much in need of them as the rest of us, yes? and this time it's in happiness because of the homecoming and cessation of worry over a loved pet. Have a good day lovie, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Well done Possession on the win!!
So sorry to read of ill health and lots of troubled minds yesterday. I wasn't around as have DD eldest to doctors because of passing out at school. A combination of not eating enough, not drinking enough, very hot and some exciting news re: school trip. But I feel important to stress that it is not just me who uses this thread to off-load, that much became apparent yesterday. I hope that a problem shared was a problem halved for you all yesterday and sorry I wasn't here to support.
Primal eating is going very well but proving to be expensive. I need to look at ways of getting protein and natural carbs into me using items that are not expensive. It's a worry as I'm already seeing the benefits. Day 5 and feel the sugar cravings have very nearly gone. I feel fit and in control... and I haven't took my anti-depressant these past few days. I'm going it alone, down the health route.
I've got ginger cordial on the go as of this morning. It cost 9p for the ginger, plus lemon cost of 27p. A bit sugar and I would suggest that a bottle of this is cheaper than cordial of ready made proportions.
I'm likely to be quite quiet over the next few days as a lot on my mind and a lot of plan/sort/educate myself over. I'll be reading with you all though0 -
PrincessX: Phew. What a relief. I have had cats disappear on me only once or twice but the desperation is awful. I would have almost been happier to have found a body, at least I would have known they weren't suffering somewhere. Oh the wonderful feeling when they turn up again.
Have a happy, if exhausting, weekend. They won't know themselves when they can shut their own front door. You and your family have given them every chance to survive this difficult time - isn't that what families are supposed to do? You are a shining example.
I still have four pages of my magazine to fill. Unfortunately two of them are mine and I'm absolutely devoid of inspiration. Sure, I'll think of something.

Fuddle: You take care petal. So glad the diet is having a good result but, as so often happens, the downside is the expense. Still, good health is priceless so struggle on if you can. It's no wonder that there is so much illness around when the one thing that might improve matters, - a diet of good simple food - is so expensive. I've noticed that most of the SM offers and BOGOFs are for the junkier sorts of food. How short sighted.
Hope Your DD1 is feeling better today.

Morning all,
Hope people are feeling brighter today with less aches and pains.
Glad to hear that kitties are getting better/found :j
Fuddle, I am on day 6 of having restarted eating Primal/paleo and it has had an effect on my shape already. As I said to myself this morning, although my stomach is still fat it is a slimmer fat!I guess it is much less bloated from the wheat.
I hear you too, on the costs. I said to hubby the other day that it annoys me that everywhere you go you see 4 chocolate bars for a £1, but hardly ever any special offers on fruits/salad items.
What I have been doing is buying good quality meat on 'buy 3 for £10 and then bagging them up and freezing. Also, I have been buying frozen veg as a top up to fresh veg. Especially useful for those days my joints aren't up to preparing fresh veg. I wish you well with your journey, and also with managing without your AD's. Take care of yourself x
Must go, I haven't had chance to do much the last few days and I really need to empty the kitchen bin as it whiffs
Take care all x
