Yes, I often frequent charity shops so I will have a look. I have had a lot of great books from charity shops and libraries when they are selling some off.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Just had some very surprising news - have won £200 of high street shopping vouchers! That's DS's new school uniform paid for!0 -
Cheaps - just started on magnesium and full B vits. It's thought to help those with our 'affliction' ill let you know how I get on
Morning everyone.
My morning is everyone elses afternoon lol
I too have fibro and ME and hypermobility. I used to think it was cool to be so flexible and see peoples faces and hear exclamations, but not now. First heard of hypermobility when I was finally diagnosed everything a few years ago.
Have had various problems for years, but took a sharp dive after dealing with oh having a breakdown and just as things began to stabilise fil became v ill and lots of long distance visits and organising of care services and exhaustion has taken it's toll and I havn't been the same. Stress helped me shed 10 stone but I have since gained 4 as I have run out of energy to do much.
I often get cramps and when it occurs to me dose up on both magnesium and b vits and it seems to help so fingers crossed it will do the trick for you too. Oh let the joy be unconfined.
Was a weary little personage last night so rested my head in bed at 10pm. And at a few minutes before midlight, was startled awake by another volley of fireworks from it Idiot Neighbour from Hell..............grrr! Inside the Towers FGS.
Haven't managed to get off to sleep since. That's the 3rd episode if just under a fortnight. All just before or after midnight and causing maximum alarm and disturbance.
And breathe.
I was hoping to get up to the lottie after work today but unless I find some juice somewhere can't see that happening. But we have a sunbeam or two peeking out, so that's a good thing and there's breakfast to look forward to, which is another.
Have a good one, peeps. I'm wandering off to get some matchsticks to prop my eyes open...............:p
Hope you manage to get though the day ok. I get so jumpy when things happen and there's a disturbance at night.
We live in a reasonable area but the estate beside nextdoor has a few dubious characters and I am a light sleeper. I can't sleep with closed windows for fear I wouldn't hear if someone tried to break in to the car or shed. It's happened before and on a rare night when the window was shut.
[QUOTE=VJsmum;62096769 finally, it's Glastonbury :j:j:j:j (Obviously mine is self-inflicted so not really the same). I have ear plugs and eye mask packed.
DS and I are packed and ready to go. We've got everything into 2 rucksacks, a bag for the tent and a bag of food.
Catch you on the other side, all. Have a good weekend.[/QUOTE]
Fingers crossed that the weather is good and you have a brilliant time. I watched the Glastonbury film on the beeb the other night and felt wistful and old as they showed it through the years.
I was surprised at how many here have fibro, is that why there is talk of kelp ?0 -
:j Possession, how wonderful!
Afternoon all,
Many thanks for the kind words, just survived 48 hours of fibro nightmare ...I'd forgotten how awful it can be at its worse. Hugs to all other fellow sufferers and others who suffer from chronic pain.
Taking it slowly today, managed to put a pork shoulder steak curry on the hob, using coconut oil which I bought the other day, very expensive but it's supposed to be a healthy oil to cook with at a higher temperature. (£15 for a 500ml jar )
I will be popping in and out as too much screen time makes my headaches worse, so take care all.

OOh. how lucky, Possession!
Good luck, RosiePuddingPaws!
I think I'm going to stop work now. Today has been only mildly productive, but I've gotten past the blank page stage so there's a start! OH is just leaving so we'll get to the wardrobe early. We've got plenty of simple things in, so will just cobble something together for a simple supper tonight. We were going to have a fancy salad but I didn't realize it called for leeks which are nigh on impossible to find about now.
Just trying to brainstorm some ideas for a nice HM birthday present for a very close friend. Normally I would just bake something, but she's probably my closest friend and had indicated she'll be buying me something. I don't think that is necessary, but she's unlikely to take no for an answer. I won't be able to match her and don't intend to try, but her 30th is only a couple of weeks after mind so would like to do something. She is in the process of loosing a lot of weight and doing very well with it. I've been giving her my recipes and helping her with meal planning which seems to be helpful to her. She's very OS, she is the one with an allotment although her husband does most of that. She likes cooking, gardening etc but has a much more edgey taste in decor than I do. She'll probably leave the UK when she finishes her PhD so I don't want it to be anything physically bulky. I'm thinking about some sort of recipe file. Unfortunately she tends to keep her recipes on her computer so perhaps she won't use it, but then again like me she's always scribbling things down on bits of paper so maybe she would. I could then put in a bunch of recipes that I think she'll like to get it started for her, and perhaps decorate it myself. Any other ideas?
Right. I think I'll go and prepare for wardrobe battle round three. I might not make it back online tonight, as I think I might head straight to bed when we're done!0 -
Really pleased for you Possession. :j
Managed to go to weekly market and get large farm eggs and then to library and popped into charity shop and found three large plastic storage jars for fifty pence each so chuffed with myself.
Have a beef, tomato, onion , mushroom and fresh peppers curry in the oven for tonight with AF naans and rice to go with it and just about to clean and sterilise the storage jars in the dishwasher.

Thanks for the welcomes yesterday.
It was a roller coaster day and after all those memories a photo of nan and granddad fell out of the bookcase as I was looking for something else. It seems they wanted to reassure me that they were indeed still with me.
Well that prompted me to tell oh I had found this thread and what a lovely bunch you all are. I read him my post and had to stop several times as I broke down and became quite emotional, scrub that, very emotional, but in a happy way. Me and the other half share everything and it prompted a wonderful conversation about our childhoods and all the positive things. He has suggested that we go to the coast soon and take nan and granddad in photo form for fish and chips and sit on the cliffs. Bless him he understands me so well. I'm so lucky to have him :j.0 -
Nice win Possession enjoy!
Another non sleeper here - and aren't the nights looooong when you spend them awake? I kept waking up to check if I had toothache. We're supposed to be taking our campervan to Belgium, France and Luxembourg next Wednesday and last night I started getting a twinge in my back tooth after eating a (soft, dunked in tea) ginger biscuit.
Thing is I know this tooth is on borrowed time, but is crucial to my being able to chew without using my front teeth (weak teeth + bad dental care in childhood + dental phobia =) so my dentist has been nursing it along, but warned me last time I saw her that the only thing she would be able to do if it deteriorated further was to extract it.
To make matters worse, health issues and a very compromised immune system mean an extraction will be a Very Big Deal. So I'm scared witless of being outside the UK if I need treatment. Plus my phobia means I would find it very hard to see any dentist other than my own, who treats me well and understands my fears and phobias. But I really, really want to go on holiday. We have been planning, and saving for this trip (first time out of UK childfree) for ages and the thought of it has kept us going through some tough times lately
Typical that it cost just over £200 for 6 days travel insurance (due to medical history) I tried 15 Insurerers and that was the cheapest I could get but to even get it that low (hahahaha - low???) I'm not covered for cancellation.... I could scream! Cost only £35 to insure DH for a whole year's worth of travel !
Sorry for long moan....read more than I post but then whinge when I do post.
Just made bread using 50% wholemeal bread flour and 50% ordinary basics plain flour (picked up wrong container - thought it was bread flour) and it looks the nicest loaf I have made in ages. Weird!People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading
