OOh, thanks for the mention of the Aldi vouchers NuttyP. They're usually in that paper named after the big yellow ball, aren't they? Will get OH to check the staff room at the end of the day as they usually throw them out.

    Welcome Valli!

Work is very slow today, so slow I've barely gotten started. Trying not to be too hard on myself though, as I'm just beginning something new and it always seems slow at the start. Usually means I'm getting my thoughts sorted out.

No, it's the paper with the name of what you look in to see your reflection. Esther x

    Welcome Valli.
GQ it beggars belief that they've done it 3 times now. I find it a constant source of amazement that there are so many people with so little consideration for others.
VJ's Mum I was thinking about you yesterday when I saw the pics of people running in the gate at Glastonbury at 8 am, 2 full days before the music even starts! Hope you and DS have a fun (and smell-free toilet) time.
I've been a-foraging this morning for free rabbit greens, and found quite a few bits which will help my grocery bill. Thanks Nutty for the heads-up re. Aldi, I will get a couple of papers, although I had a Mr T delivery yesterday since he very kindly sent me a £15 off £40 spend voucher. Well it seemed rude not to.
DH has contacted his boss to say he would like to return to work for 3 days next week, so fingers crossed that goes OK. I think the meds have helped his depression most definitely, but not his anxiety. I guess we just need to wait and see.
Have a happy OS day everyone.

    Morning!

Aldi voucher is in the Daily Mirror and Daily Record today.

Grey, muggy and not nice here, we actually has a sea fret yesterday which shrouded the garden in chilly fingers of mist. The sun came out later, but too late for me. I had done what I needed (transplanting into containers what remained of my strawberry patch after Mr Badger had stomped all over it ) so I wend down to play with beads :D. OH had gone off to Lunnon for a meet with chums so I could make as much mess as I likes, so spread all my boxes of stuff out and had a good sort out. He's back this evening so they will need to go away before then!

    Right, back to bead sorting!

My body is rebelling against me at the mo. I woke up with the alarm at 7am, listened to everyone else leaving the house and woke up again when the bin men came at 11am. I know I needed the sleep, but I feel completely out of it now. I feel all fuzzy headed.
Today's plans need to go on the back burner I think. I'm going to make falafel burgers and sweet potato fries for dinner, I have no idea if anyone will eat them, but they are worth a try. I have fish fingers in the freezer if all else fails.
I also need to get some knitting done. I have a waistcoat to finish and then I need to start knitting for a friend's daughter. We found out on Friday that her baby is due at the end of September. I've found a gorgeous blanket pattern, but I'm a very slow knitter and think it might be a bit ambitious. So if anyone has any easy baby knitting patterns they would be greatly appreciated.

Time for lots more tea and maybe dunking my head in the sink might wake me up.

    Take care xxxxx

Must be the night of no sleep, I have been up most of it problem solving and all I came up with was - we ran out of milk :o Going to have to get my a** into gear as its my second respite day and will feel cheated if I collapse in a heap on the couch. Off to the CS and market to fill up the fridge.

Welcome Valli, I remember donkey stoning the steps and Im 53. I guess it depends the area you lived in. We were in the old terraced streets in Manchester and it was a sin not to keep your steps perfect, including the step in the back entry (alley) A friend of mine had a slab floor in her kitchen and was still putting donkey stoned strip round the edge of it till the 70's until I revolutionised her and her elderly dads life by painting the slabs for them. I also got them a fridge and a phone put in.

Oh well best go and face the world, loud people on phones, mothers swearing at their effing kids and nutters in onesies in the supermarket - deep joy :rotfl:
