What Mrs Chips says Burtha.... and big hugs.

OK so it's my day off... LOL :rotfl: I've done washing, washing up, got loads to do that really needs to be done today, top of the list is to give the dogs a bath, so that I can stick their Advocate stuff on. They both need a bath, and I've been putting off doing the drops until they are clean! I've got one night B&Bs next Monday, so need to sort the room out, and tidy up all my upcycling stuff which has been dumped in there.

I've made arrangements with DD to go to nearest big town on Sat, as I am in dire need of a trip to the wholesalers and Wilco and she wants to start her C word shopping, Sat is good cos' both OH's will be at home to doggle sit. Shopping with DD always turns into a bit of a marathon...and of course this will be our first outing with the sproglett - who is now 6 weeks old!!!

Market was reasonably busy again yesterday, and the new GF loaf went down well with my customers...Pop's Cranberry Banana Loaf that he posted last week, but made GF. If anyone wants to know how I GF'd it give me a shout. It's got a great banana taste, and the bursts of cranberry in it are terrific! Thanks Pops!

  • What awful news burtha. Am sending lots of hugs and prayers for you and your family. As others have said it's amazing what the medical profession can do now.

Hi everyone, im so sorry for the delay. I popped on this morning, then DD turned up and I ended up having to visit the doctor for emergency repeat prescription.

Yesterday's meeting went sort of ok, I received a formal 1st written warning staying on file for a year. I can appeal, but I think I will leave it as it is, it draws a line under it and it doesn't effect my hours at work nor my year end bonus. After my meeting I was finally asked if that was everything, so I replied no actually it isn't!! So the whole tale emerged about collegue drinking before and during work alcohol. He went berserk, not at me but at the situation we are all being put in. I was assured that the matter was going to be looked into, I am the official whistle blower as they say.

'I feel really drained today, but I want to thank you all very much for your support. I know some of you are having more serious problems than mine, especially health wise.

    Once again thankyou x

    Hello everyone :)

I'm sorry for being a stranger, but I've had a bit of a rough patch and felt the need to withdraw for a while. I have been reading along and cheering everyone on I promise

burtha I wish there were some magic words I could say to make you feel better, but as there aren't just know that I'm sure that we are all behind you and supporting you ((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))

gailey Don't you ever doubt yourself, you are fantastic :)

fuddle The best of luck with the move xxx

monnagran The Rev sounds nearly as lovely as you :) I hope you have got to grips with the new machine and are having fun.

nuttyp I hope that yesterday went well. ((((((((hugs))))))))

We had some lovely news yesterday. A friend's daughter gave birth on Monday night to a daughter named Jasmine Victoria. I am really looking forward to cuddles in two weeks :D I have taught myself to knit in the round thanks to youtube and have knitted her a hat to go with the cardi I finished a few weeks ago. Now she is here I can knit a flower to decorate it using the leftover cardi wool. I didn't think it would work if she had a boy.

I have decided that I have to half bury my head in the sand and do my best not to stress about money at the moment. We lent a friend's son some money at very short notice to pay his housing deposit for halls so he has somewhere to live when he goes next month. It means that funds are low until we get paid back. I am just doing my best to keep the shopping bills down, meal planning as much as possible and ignoring the rest. My blood pressure is sky high at the moment, despite my meds being doubled, and no one is sure why. I'm off to the Drs on Monday with a weeks worth of blood pressure readings and then I'll see what happens.

I came across this on a website I read and I thought we could all do with something uplifting.

    Hope you like it.

Much love and hugs to all xxxx

Hi kidcat, to be fair I just want to get on with my job. If I appeal, it will drag on for another 4 - 6 weeks and I would rather just leave it. I do my job well, have never had a day sick in over 3 years and often do overtime in fact nearly everyweek. During the meeting, he did say he had to follow the rules and he had to give me the written waring, even though he didn't want to.

That's what you have to hang onto Nutty, that it's procedure - and it sounds like the propeor procedure will now be followed with your colleague, thank goodness. I'm so glad you said what you did when you had that opportunity.

Burtha - big hugs from Blackpool, and we're all here if you want to "chat" to get things out of your head, or if you just want to read and wave to us every now & then we won't mind. Just pop in when you fancy a brew & a bit of cake (or crumble & custard!)
