Morning All,
Busy day ahead but nothing exciting...
Mainly shopping, sorting tickets for some shows between now and January(not expensive concerts though)so off to Durham and then Bishop Auckland, then to the supermarket for salad. I have woke to find a large crack(well large to me)in the ceiling above my bed...
So out for some ready mixed plaster to try and hide it(hoping its nothing serious)then later either I or someone else will perhaps have to paint the ceiling. I understand there are quite a few new products that can be used to paint it so they don't reappear...
There's always something...I guess I know what I will be doing in the afternoon...

POPS it might be a good idea to get someone out to look at the crack before you fill it and paint over it. Just in case there is a problem to the infrastructure of the house that has caused it to happen? If it's just a small crack in the plaster that's one thing but if it's structural movement that's quite another and would need investigation as to the cause to make the building safe. Better safe than sorry? Lyn xxx.0

Yes I'll keep an eye on it...
Just put a little plaster on, if its serious it will spread or show again...if it remains ok for decent amount of time then I'll go for the painting of the ceiling job...

Morning everyone.
Had a lovely day yesterday for my birthday. Ready for the rest of October now.!
Was shocked to hear about the SSE energy price hike!! I think it’s a matter of time before the other companies jump on the band wagon.
Last night was a cold one here. Think the weather forecast might be right for once. Today is chilly but the sun is trying to break through. I hope it does as I’ve got to go out today. Luckily for me DB has offered to come along and drive me but still….
Stressful today for many of OH’s family because it’s the court hearing today therefore they will know for sure just what OH brother is being charged with. I can’t imagine the outcome is going to be good. I’m a little worried about OH as he just don’t want to talk about his feelings on the situation. But, I think I’m just going to leave him until he comes to me.
Nutty: Glad your okay / Happy with the outcome. Hopefully you’ll be able to start a fresh.
Burtha: Sorry to hear of your bad news / health worries. Please feel free to come on and let us know your worries when needed. We’re lucky to have a great bunch on here. xFuture goals:

Thats a very sensible decision PX87, you might just say to him that if he ever does want to talk things through you're there and ready to listen? then the choice is his but he knows you are giving him some space at a very harrowing time for the family and not leaving him to cope on his own. Poor lad, Hugs and lots of Love for you both and also the extended family, Lyn xxx.0

morning all...feel tired already today, have done school run ,my choice ,doctor have said up till something happens I am ok to drive, didn't have a very good night last night, I went to ds10 football training and because it was so cold ,wasn't well when I got back. so bad that dh and myself were unsure if it was going to be a 999 job, growth is causing pain / movement problems on one side ,,anyway seams worse from about lunchtime , so last night as I warmed up and taken lots of tablets,i slowly started to improve.....will remember for next time ! .. next week dh will be with me at appointments , list of questions , r.v.i. hospital at Newcastle , from what we have been told so far I may have two options , they keep scanning /checking / each week?month?year? depending on size/growth ect ...if so will have to deal with side effects and am I then a ticking time bomb just waiting to go ...the other option is man with hammer / drill going through my head , to remove ....either of these don't sound to good to me , I know they may have no choice but damage to my brain seems very possible , ...i may end up with a life so different to what i have now , sorry i am all doom and gloom ..dh looks ill , my mum on holiday, and kids that need to be kids ...... on the plus side i may end up with a large selection of wigs , may be a new style/colour each day , what do you think? to blonds have more fun ?? ....take care everyone x£223/ £250 GC0

Ah, Burtha, if you can joke about wigs you are surely one of us. Go on. Be daring - shocking pink comes to mind, that should give you more fun than going blonde! Seriously you can come on here and vent whenever you need to. We are pretty formidable when we get going and we won't let you get too down.
MeanM: Had to laugh at the 'discomfort'. When my granddaughter was born someone asked my DIL how the birth had been. "Well," she said, "it did sting a bit."

Good morning to you all and big hugs to everyone who need them.
It's a very undecided morning weather wise today. One minute it bright sunshine (as now) the next it grey cold and wet. I've taken a chance and hung some bedding out. Will just have to see what happens.
My legs are playing up again today. It's probably the result of being up and down steps doing curtains and windows yesterday. Will just have to live with it - jobs MUST be done. Today am giving kitchen deep clean - first in a while. Am having a break on here - give me any excuse at all and I will down tools.
Think I need a cuppa as well. Hope you all have a good day.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0
