GAILEY,
keep going honey, will keep you in my prayers, hope the hubby's job goes OK and the benefits get sorted out. One day it will be easier for you, you just have to do what you can to get through the now.
You are amazing, you are still going strong and still trying to keep positive, I think I would have gone to bed and just pulled the covers over me! LOL.
Thank you cant fall apart as have 3 kids but todays been hard one trying not to lose hope.
Doesnt help kids are tired, grouchy arguing, hubby says he going libary to print off agency wage slips as council housing want those too hes only worked 3 days in last 3 weeks thats funded food as jsa told him he wouldent get anything until after 13 weeks so surprised they said he could have jsa if he had not have done agency we could not have brought food..
Kidcat i owe freinds mum bag pasta she said dont be daft so will make her baked treat to say thaks, as soon as we get out of this want to donate to food bank. Dont want to use a food bank as we have food in house and theres people more in need than us for sure. Although can see why people use food banks if delays are this long and every change takes us back to square one its kind of soul destroying.
Also feel bad for getting annoyed but since mil been ill we had to go round nightly as she wont answer the phone to check shes ok its 4mile round trip from out house petrol, time hes should be home to support with kids homework and bedtime. shes better now by the way now but got used to hubby going round and his brother goes once a week makes excuses and is not hard done by he just used his dogs as constant excuse.i know must seems petty but means he wont be home for least another hour and we all getting bit tired and grumpy now its just another thing on top of very long day.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

Just a quick post to say how amazing I find you all. When I feel down or having hard times I think of the really bad times so many are having and tell myself not to be such a wimp.
(((HUGS))) gailey. Would really like to be able to do something more positive.
Nutty, I will be thinking, praying and standing alongside of you as well.
kidkat, enjoy your holiday. You deserve it.
SQ glad your back is improving at last.
Have had a busy day for me. Took my life in my hands using steps to take bedroom curtains down as my balance is only poor. But they are washed, dried, ironed and back up now. So pleased to get something positive done.
Hope we all have a peaceful night.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -
Gailey as soon as you are back on your feet make sure you treat yourself even if it's something small as you damn well deserve it girl xx0

Found this...suggesting that Tesco have relaunched their everyday value range and the Finest range which benefit us all whatever our income. Also we may find some more choice in the reduced section.

I read it as they relaunched the value range 18 months ago and are now doing the finest range. The cynic in me is reminded that they have just released bad results, and a finest relaunch will be an excuse to put up profit margins.0

Yes, its all spin...if they did relaunch the value range 18 months ago my local branch did not show the new products in store, if anything most of the existing range disappeared and they have just started appearing again."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. It makes it harder when others put out demands when your own situation is difficult. I found with my older relatives, the sheer loneliness made them very inconsiderate. It takes a lot to be patient.
Maybe you could suggest he goes every other night now she is a bit better, that way it may be easier for her to bear and ease the burden on you and the kids.
When times were tough I found the trivial things the hardest, although small they seemed to mount up into a large weight.
Someone said to me it too will pass, he reminded me that that happened in the 'good times' too! LOL.
Keep yer head and yer spirits up lass, will keep you in my prayers.0 -
Gailey - as bluebagg says maybe try to taper it off now she is well again, rather than a sudden withdrawal.
I do understand where you are coming from though, by the end of a busy day you need him home asap to help. Oh was late tonight by almost an hour, I had got up, dropped DD18 at bus stop for 7.30 taking the littlies along with me, done lunches and school bags, then before 8.30 when we left for the next two runs, I had emptied washing machine and dryer refilled both and hung out washing on the line, emptying DW and refilling that too.
All as well as getting kids ready, ironing PE kits that were forgotten and doing reading signing diaries etc.
By the time I came home having dropped all four kids off it was 9.45, and I then wrapped DD presents, tidied dining room and kitchen, more washing and drying and emptied the ironing basket and got it all ironed and put away. All before 10.30.
I reckon if I had gone to work that would have been the equivalent of a full days work yet it accounted for only a few hours of my time.
Having also done the rest of day, all the pick ups, fed everyone and taken DD7 to swim lessons at 6.30 when OH was due home I was desperate for someone to take over, so his being late was so hard.
Life is incredibly tough at the moment, but looking at it from the opposite way - its an incredible success, if anyone had asked me three months ago whether I could have done this I would have said no way. Yet every day I do it.
Likewise, if someone had asked you six months ago could you do this I bet you would have said not a chance, yet every day you prove you not only can do it, you are doing it and brilliantly too.
So you are taking the toughest of challenges and kicking butt dont forget that, you are doing brilliantly.0 -
Nuttyp: I'll be there with you tomorrow, giving the bosses my special 'teacher's' look. This look not only subdues a class of noisy children it has been known to fell strong men. They don't stand a chance with us lot surrounding you.
gailey: The benefits system is a nightmare. We hear so much about those who abuse the system. I'd like to know how they do it. My experience is that people who are richly deserving help are given the complete run around. Some of the staff are good, compassionate and helpful but they are few and far between. Some of them are just awful and wind the clients up until they lose it , then the security people are called and that's the end for them. I do hope that something gets sorted for you soon. Can you get a hardship payment to tide you over? I'm not sure if that still exists. I am going to a meeting on Thursday where the manager of the local benefits office is going to explain the changes that have been made. I'm looking forward to that!
Have I ever moaned about the Rev? Have I ever hinted that she can be a pain in the bum?
I take it all back. After me whingeing about trying to make bunting on her old sewing machine, tonight a brand new machine was delivered. It has all sorts of gizmos on including a self threading needle! I'm in heaven. I'm not used to anything quite so high-tech so my bedtime reading tonight will be a certain instruction manual.
