Princess I used to say that when I worked at H.Street jewellers(things are often different from the other side of the counter)
My favourite poet has told me to keep an eye on his website in case he comes nearer to where I live.
Annoying I can get a bus from Darlington even at 23.15 to get me home but its the first bus to Darlington that is the problem:mad:on my usual rant again...sorry!

I hope I haven't missed any nifty little OS tips and tricks in my
absence.
My chin is firmly up and my head is down. I'm a very busy lady at the moment, dealing with all the unexpected issues that come out of the woodwork.
I'm studying hard to improve my employability down there and also daring to toy with the student nurse idea again for in the future.
I'm running down my freezer (concoction queen at the moment!) but boosting my stores as money in the coming months will be tight, especially on top of Christmas. I can't believe I'm moving at Christmas for a second year! Idiot woman eh?
Must dash as I have 2 viewings for this property tonight and need to tidy. I hope everyone is OK.0 -
You haven't missed anything girlie, but we've missed you!!! Glad you've the time to pop in to say hello in your busy and bustly days preparing for the exciting move!!! Hope everything is progressing steadily for you and look forward very much to the post that says 'We have a lovely new home'. Look after yourselves, Love Lyn xxx.0

Hello fuddle, glad you're still heading onwards and upwards.
I am also eating various freezer surprise concoctions as trying to run down freezer and shop as least as possible til my back is stronger. For lunch I defrosted a portion of leftover pilau rice and separate portion of a lentilly mincey dish... all looked a bit gross but was surprisingly yummy and a change from my usual sandwiches/soup type lunch. Only thing is... I've eaten what I had intended for dinnerso back to the top of the freezer which I can reach into now if I don't bend too far to find something for this evening. Defrosting some pork and apple casserole for boys and will cook some rice to go with it. Love it when I can see what is lurking in there!
DH had a big event at work yesterday and a big meeting today so a yummy buffet lunch provided both days and he is working from home on Fri so that's a day's train fares saved. All adds up, need to stretch the pennies to pay day.... as we all do.
Feeling quite content being a hermit at the moment, had a bath this morning as I know I will be shattered later with DH at college til late and full up with lunch. Sunshine out and managed to put some washing out on my own. I feel very grateful for all I have today. Looking forward to seeing my boys after school.
sending some of my sunshine to any grey areas... need any Mar?

Blimey, it's warm here, that sunshine is lovely and I've been running around like a loon.
Got 4 pallets chopped and stacked plus a big pile of other oddments, still tons to do but I need to pace myself. Sciatica is still here so can only do so much before I'm in agony. Loaded the car with the last of the Inlaws stuff they stored in our garage when they moved, DH will go over to them later and let them unload it the other end. I've advised that he might like to stay for a few hours (he's in one of those moods). Their new house is a bungalow so he can just about navigate his way round and can do without me for while.
I've sorted out my fabric stash, a friend of my mums gives me loads of dressmaking stuff, it's just sitting here as I don't make many of my own clothes, there's some huge bolts, maybe 10 mts or more on a couple. I shall get them all measured and listed on fleabay, even if it sells at £1 a metre there's got to be a good £100 there. (mums friend won the lottery and buys stuff like its going out of fashion, she uses a meter off a roll and then passes it to someone else, madness but my gain!)
Cheessy, chicken and bacon pie for tea, lots of suet in so a suet pastry, 2 drumsticks left from the weekend and 2 rashers of bacon......served with potato peeling chips (scrubbed potato peelings all go in a bowl of water in the fridge and I cook them in a little oil with lots of black pepper and paprika, whack in the oven for 30 mins and lovely crispy tata chips)."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. I hope they are not going to go gangbusters on all the expensive stuff and leave a lot of value stuff behind. That does not sound a good business plan in a recession.
I suspect their shares will take another shellacking in Q4 if that comes off.0 -
Its said they've increased the value range but whether all branches carry the full range is another matter..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Hello x
Hope everyone is doing ok xx
I am back from an appointment to have Botox. Not for vanity purposes but in an attempt to reduce my facial pain and intractable migraine. I had 31.......yes 31 injections into my poor head and cannot understand why any woman or man would have it for cosmetic purposes:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: What with my flu jab yesterday and B12 jab (ouches) on Friday I am a walking pincushion:eek::eek::eek:
Molly and Poppy have settled so I am happier now. Molly had her teeth cleaned and her X-ray on Monday and is one healthy little dog so I am much relieved as she has the same parentage as our dog who died recently.
Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Evening MOLLY, 31 injections pet? above and beyond isn't it? mind if it helps make you have less pain and discomfort it will definately be worth it, Poor you though!!! We had the Flu jab on Saturday and they gave me a pneumonia jab in the other arm, boy did they get red and sore for a couple of days, small price to pay for not being ill though eh?
Glad the puppies have settled down again and that Molly dog has a clean bill of health, one less thing to worry you yes? Hope Miss Molly is now flying on strong wings at Uni and having a whale of a time and growing in confidence and is happy, and then you'll not worry either, Love Lyn xxx.0 -
Pops I volunteer at St. Nicholas Cathedral, Newcastle. Durham is just too much travelling for me to manage on a frequent basis - plus too much bus/train fare. Shame as I think it is so beautiful. St. Nicks was originally a church but became a cathedral when Newcastle Diocese was formed from the huge Durham Diocese. It's beautiful in a different way and I enjoy my shifts there.:T Let me know if you are ever up this way. Thank you for your kind wishes.
On the theme of former employers I could say quite a lot about a certain bank and NONE of it would be good. Can't yet though because of clause in contract.:eek::eek:Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0
