Lisakay, I've noted the use of white wine/cider vinegar and balsamic in the risotto, I love sharp flavours, but I only had balsamic in and wondered if it would be too much.

I absolutely loved the years I spent childminding. Even though the hours were so long, the days were so full.

I loved my childminding days too, one of my little ones arrived at 5am when parents shift patterns overlapped. I'm still in touch with a couple of parents via FB, it's lovely to see all the kids growing up, I'm proud to have been allowed to have been a part of their childhood. Lots of lovely memories and my DDs loved the chance of little ones to play with.

Possession - DD came home from her very firs day at school with only 1 lens in her glasses!!! Quick trip in to speccy savers and they were sent off for a new lens - they came back as an entire new pair of glasses as when they had put the lens back in the screw wouldn't tighten up (why lens had come out in the first place as it turned out). No quibble, no charge, no probs!

DS is a poorly boy again - took one look at his dinner and was sick - he seems fine in himself though but had to ring nursery and tell them he'll not be in tomorrow. Think he's catching everything going at the moment as he is tired - both he and his sister were bathed and in bed asleep by 6.30 tonight!! Bless, will let him have a lion (DD's word for lie in) if DD can manage to get up with not too much kerfuffle in the morning.

Jem - glad you got them sorted re getting the code changed - go mummy power!!!!

Fuddle - good luck with the move lovey.

Gailey - chin up lovey, it will pass and in the mean time you are doing a fantastic job of looking after your little family.

Lisa - good stuff with the childminding - sounds a fun day.

I'm sure I've missed people out but I promise it's not deliberate - much love and whot-d'yu-me-call-it to everyone.

    Gailey.

You didn't do it wrong, none of it. You did it right that's why it's so hard. If you could have lived with it you could have had it all and gone bankrupt twice by now. Letting the taxpayer pick up the bill.

    No. You did it right.

  • Morning everyone.

Woke up with the sniffles & a slight cough this morning. Hope its something of nothing. Because I really don’t want to be poorly with everything that is approaching over the next couple of weeks.

Family, Certain members of my family are becoming poisonous - spiteful - argumentative when there really isn’t any need for it. What I can wrap my head around is, Why they do it towards their own family? Everyone keeps telling me the reason I’m their “target” so to speak is because I take their rubbish personally & that they relies now that if they shout, swear ect, It frightens me enough to back down. I really don’t understand how people can live like that. Surly as a family you look out & protect each other right??:mad:

I’m wondering if any of you clever lot have some tips.

Ruby is now 9 weeks 3 days old. She’s teething. One is almost cutting the gum. Her gums are completely white & she’s is A LOT of pain with them. Her health visitor has said just let them come through on their own as you cant give babies anything to easy the discomfort.
After many hours of ruby screaming ect, we went to the pharmacy and they had teething gel for babies. She’s been having that. But now that’s not working either. She cant sleep, drink ect. SIL is getting her a doctors appointment, But we was wondering if there is any “super-mums” tricks we can try that you mums might have used with your own.

Today, I have the fun of……Ironing & house work, If anyone is bored and would like to do it on my behalf, Please don’t hesitate to message me! :rotfl::rotfl: xx

Sorry about the family Princess. If they are right, the solution is to care a lot less.
For Ruby, have you tried Nelson's teething powder? (Can't remember the exact name of it, but something like that) It seemed to work for my two, along with giving them something cold to gnaw on - ie the teethers you can keep in the fridge.

Princess - Like possession we used to buy the really hard teething toys and keep them in the fridge. I seem to remember one of mine had teething biscuits as well, but cant remember which one it was sorry.
