Jem was your DS unsupervised? Is this a designated "cooling-off" area or procedure? If not I would be thinking about speaking to the LEA or at very least the head teacher to get an explanation...0
-
Jem that doesnt sound a very satisfactory solution to your boys problems no wonder you are unhappy. Hope you can get the powers that be to see some sense especially if he was unsupervised. I find it quite upsetting to think of him locked in there. xxx
Monnagran, step away from those plums :rotfl: you will have a jippy tum for days at this rate!
Been to Cs's, Iceland, wilkies and £world/land and got lots of fab things including a couple of pressies. We now have side plates and are no longer using plastic lids for our toast etc:o:o 65p each. Iceland was pretty good but Wilkies had a move around in my abscence and I couldnt find things but they certainly had some good prices. All in all a very satisfactory shopping trip.

Evening toughies
nutty - well done on keeping quiet - I would probably have exploded
Jem - its not your fault, and as for keeping him in an area to stop him escaping, personally I am not impressed. My son has escaped many times, when he had the "other teacher" (she who must not be named but who I had to officially complain about and has only just finally gone away forever!) and when his old teacher took back over, and I was panicking that the area she used hadnt been approved she smiled and said ah yes but he doesnt want to escape when I have him. And she was right, by the same thing, your DS is trying to get away from something which he clearly cant stop, or even verbalise. Its up to school to make changes in order that he no longer wishes to escape. Simply locking him up will only lead to him finding other ways of escape.
I would strongly suggest a meeting with both the teacher, SENCO, head teacher and also the LEA as well, ideally you need CAMHS and/or the Ed Psych too. Your son may have separation issues - but that needs to be addressed by the medical professionals. Good luck
Stiltwalker - I am so pleased for you and more than a little jealous.
Its been mega busy here again, by eight this morning I had emptied the washer and dryer and refilled both. Got one load onto line to dry, cleaned kitchen, tidied dining room and washed all the dishes. Fed kids and done two packed lunches and DD7 school snack, packed school bags and done todays reading with both. And got both littlies washed, dressed and ready and was ready myself.
That gave me 25 minutes to race through the ironing and loading the car, tidied bathroom, living room and got meat out of freezer for tonight.
I dropped littlies to their respective schools, filled up with diesel and managed the bits of shopping we needed and got DS15 to his place for 9.30 before I drew breath. I came home to collect DD18 for a wholesalers visit and she remarked that I appeared to have discovered a way to time travel.
Rest of day was equally busy, and it occurred half an hour ago that I had not even checked my emails today. I did however take delivery of a new hoover, Whiskers the robotic hoover is lovely, he managed to hoover the whole dining room and kitchen and didnt break anything, I think he will have paid for himself in no time at allI bought him from the vax sale last week when I realised I was really going to be stuck when it came to hoovering, now if only he did stairs as well :rotfl::rotfl:

That does not sound acceptable at all Jem - I can see one mama bear on the warpath here! Passing him his lunch through a sliding window???? Second Kidcat with asking for urgent meeting with head and senco and also getting in touch with cahms, ed psych and LEA also.
Kidcat - I'll let you know in a week or two whether you need to be jealous or not!!! I've told him that I'm going to make his old boss look like a *pet name for a* cat - lol!
Take care all - X0 -
Good evening
Stopping by for a wave to those that would appreciate it.
A very busy lady just now with priorities surrounding eBay and selling as much as possible to help fund the move.
We shall be giving our notice to leave this rental by Oct 15th, looking to leave on Nov 15th in preparation for DH starting Dec 1st.
I've packed as much as I can of things that we don't use and relieved to find that actually we live a simple life without much stuff. I remember ebaying loads when it all went t-up financially all those years ago so no wonder really.
Those of you who don't look in preppers thread, I would like to draw your attention to the magical powers of homemade elderberry/lemon/ginger/honey/cloves as star anise syrup. It's helped us all get over a cold at the weekend and because I foraged the elderberries, used my mulled wine spices that meant a super powerful lintus cost 55p for ginger root and lemon.
Apologies for repeating myself here but think it's reminiscence of the tough thread of oldand in its rightful place here too

I was once asked by a very silly woman, when I was expecting my fourth baby, how I would find the ability to love my fourth child. I told her that love is like sweet peas - the more you pick it, the greater and sweeter the blossom. Im very much looking forward to Grandchildren (if my children are blessed with their children). I do think I became a midwife because of my love of babies - such a miracle of life xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I think I have shaken the cold off :)and that's mainly with sleep and paracetemols. But I like the suggestions given so may do some of them anyhow...I must be improving as I went to the Music Club...now I can rest for a couple of days again."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Good morning all, its thick with fog here. I put all the work uniform in the wash last night but its had to go in the dryer. DD had a lovely birthday yesterday, lots of cards from friends. I felt really old, knowing my baby is 18.
Work was equally non pleasurable, I only had 3 hours of not talking. I should be doing a sponsored silence. I spent ages on the shop floor with the customers, we all had cups of coffee. and just chatted.
Payday today - so I am going to load the pre payment meters with some money. I wish they could be removed but as I am a BR they want a deposit of £100 each. Plus removal costs of around £65 each.
Must get DD to the bus stop, and I can relax until dinnertime.
Have a gd day everyone xBSC member 137

Morning all,
Princess, how is your back?
Big hugs again AOT. I'm glad to hear your CBT session helped.
Jem, that just sounds awful. I don't think it has anything to do with your son being breastfed until three--if anything that was probably brilliant for him. It sounds like the school is making a mess of the situation.
Pops, glad to hear your cold is improving. Take it easy, and don't over do it until you're completely well.
I'm hoping today is not a repeat of yesterday. It ended up being a hectic day with the plumber in and more problems discovered and lots of work issues that went wrong. Unfortunately today I have to phone BG to make an appointment for the boiler. The plumber thinks its knackered but I think he is wrong. Either way, doesn't matter. It is the landlord's problem, so I've resolved to make the appointments as they suit me and try to nip up to my office to work after I've sorted out a cup of tea. I really wish that the people who do these sorts of things could realize that while I am and can be at home sometimes during that day, I too have work to get on with and standing around watching them work isn't going to help either of us!
Last night's dinner was broccoli mac and cheese and coleslaw out of the supersix. I made extra coleslaw so will have that with tonight's dinner and keep things simple. OH and I stayed up until past 9 playing cards last night. I was determined we'd work in 30 minutes together. Its back to bed early again tonight as we're still on early starts this week and next, but still it was nice. We banned all work chat while the cards were out.:rotfl:
Hugs to any and all who need them!0
