  • TAAAA DAAAAAHHHHHHHH Oma is very happy because we've just found out that Lentil is a little BOY!!!!!!!! I'm currently floating round on my own personal pink cloud quite a long way up I'm so happy, He Who Knows is less demonstrative but just as happy, he's not on a pink cloud, he's on the bus!!!!! Lyn xxx.

    So pleased for you :T:T
  • Ah Mrs LW - lovely news! When I had my 20 week scan, I asked to know the sex, she said *I think I see a rudimentary penis there".Don't think I'll tell DS about that one ! Been to clinic this morning for jabs for DS - he is 15kg and 1metre so I think thats pretty normal and the HV is coming to see me Fri about his toilet training. Hope we can sort it out as it has been stressing me ! Major panic attacks before work last week and I don't want the same this week!
  • Pops I think the arthritic flare this last week has been in response to the Nottingham trip and everything that involved. Thankfully it is starting to ease now so I hope to get out sometime this week.

My GP usually has a walk in flu clinic on a Saturday morning in October. I've checked with them but they cannot give me a fixed date yet. Which is no good for making plans.

Hi MOLLY how's it all going today, I hope Miss Molly has found her feet at Uni and that you are gradually getting used to the space in the house and not worrying too much about her. You are quite right of course, it should be a blue cloud but I'm so very happy it can be any colour it wants to today, tomorrow it can turn blue and I'll be proud as punch, I just can't wait until February. Now I have to make myself be very disciplined and not buy everything that seems like a good idea mustn't I? Love to Molly and Poppy puppies, you too of course, Lyn xxx.

Unfortunately I have been bed bound today. I think the stress with my parents has caught up with me so MollyMoo has been a princess all day and kept my feet warm:eek: Miss Molly has had two panic attacks - one at 1.45am this morning but I was up anyway so I managed to calm her down. Then she lost her purse - or thought she had - and got very upset again. She suffers from severe dyslexia and when in new situations she finds it hard to process all the new information so old habits slip - like taking care of her purse. Anyway she found it after I talked her through all the usual places and she seems much brighter now. Fingers crossed x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I may have to call off the Flu Jab as I may have a head cold, don't know where that's come from. We'll see...just got my blog in order and put images in one place and reported on my trip to Alnwick and finally the Osmonds...

If we all lived near each other I'd do my version of a coffee morning and serve up lots of cake to make everyone feel better.

I have arthritis but my mobility is affected more because the swelling of and treatment with meds has made one leg shorter than the other. The walking stick makes all the difference.

  • Well done MOLLY, she will settle but with those added factors I can understand it being a bigger ordeal for Miss Molly until she becomes accustomed to it all. You look after yourself as well, I'm sorry you've been forced back to bedrest by the stresses involved but hope by being sensible and taking the time you need you will bounce back all the quicker. Bless Molly puppy, she loves unconditionally and unstintingly and Mumi is her bestest person, so you'll be getting all her attention until you're strong again, be well love, Cheers Lyn xxx.

Congratulations Mrsl how lovely a little boy xx

Thanks for the suggestion of family fund kidkat .

He won't have a cheap one as they bend and make you fall when you do stunts.

Where's fuddle hope she's ok xx
I have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar
  • I think FUDDLE is in the process of sorting out home and contents as the move to Dorset is now a definate thing that is going to happen. I think she'll be a busy bunny for a little while so don't worry too much if she doesn't have time to post often. It's the very best thing for them all and I hope they'll be mega happy in a new place with a new start, deserved as she's a good kid!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.

Mrs LW you will enjoy every minute of having lentil around, and he will be blessed having you to teach him. I bet Docky will be a very proud uncle.

Dd decided to get a dog for her partner for his birthday, but with much discussion and the understanding the dog could be re-homed if there was a problem. Princess arrived a week a go and is apparently a sharpei/labrador x and is wonderful. Intil yesterday Dgs was wary but today he has started reaching down from the couch and stroking her and actually calls 'tickle' and she comes for a stroke. Im so pleased as our families always had dogs or cats and although they have had cats its a very bad area and all 4 cats have disappeared -hate to think what happened and we all did everything we could to find them despite being chiiped. Anyway I think DGs has found his buddy now and luckily she isnt a woofy dog and is training really fast.

Had a quiet day as I am trying to revolutionise my life and getting things done. Also trying to avoid spennding as we go away soon for 3 days. AOT will give you a wave as we are heading your way :D Fuddle stop packing long enough to wave too. Hope all is going well for you and echo Mrs LW's sentiments you are a fab girl.

  • Hugs to you Molly, glad you had a lovely foot warmer at least. I was going to say the same about the "blue cloud"! lovely news Mrs LW, you sound so excited and happy. The due date is a special date for someone close to me. :)

Was wondering about fuddle, glad she is ok.

Yesterday DS9 bought home some fruits (well vegs actually) of the school gardening club's labour. It is the only club (they don't do many anyway) he has absolutey LOVED. An OS boy in the making! We have one cucumber which the boys have had some in their packed lunch today, one onion which has gone into tonight's lasagne cooking as I type....

and one pretty big pumpkin which I have never cooked with or any other squash type veg :o. Anyone suggest a recipe with pumpkin that fussy children will eat (nothing spicy for a start)?

Our town now has a food bank, they are collecting at my gym but haven't seen any other leaflets about, will check the library etc and if I don't see any about town will offer to hand some out. Also going to make a bag of food up and my 2 friends who use the gym are doing the same. Only snag is the actual foodbank is not local at all - in a different town so don't know how people in need will get there. Hoping the scheme will grow and there will be "an outlet" in our town as we live in a deprived area and you can see the need for one.

better check on dinner, smells delish
    sq:)
