Morning all,
As of this morning it looks like I have three, possibly even four, lovely days of working from home this week. It will hopefully bring a much needed sense of calm back into my life.
I caught up on baking yesterday so there is fresh bread and there are fresh muffins waiting to provide a little delight with this week's meals. OH scuttled off to work very early this morning, and I'm about to head in to my desk. I've started new terms enough times now to take your peace, quiet and calm when you can get it.;)
Shegar, have a lovely break.
Gailey, big, big hugs. Have one of my muffins and a nice cuppa this morning as a break when you get a chance. It sounds like you're managing marvellously, but Monnagran is right, that probably isn't what you need to hear.
Stiltwalker-Oh no! I hope everyone is feeling a bit better today.
Pops, what lovely adventures!
I must confess, I'm not one for buying cakes. I do it every now and then when out for a coffee or a tea with friends and I always wind up disappointed. I'm such a snob that only HM will do, and then there's the fact I can never quite get over how much a small slice of cake is in a tea room or cafe.:rotfl: Please let us know how these live up, it looks like they were the best of both--no work AND home made!
The souvenir I brought OH from Stockholm was a deck of cards with scenes from Sweden on them. A bit pricey for cards, but we'd been planning to get some anyway and I hate to buy something that won't be used. We're planning to put on the gas fire, put on cozy socks, make hot chocolates (maybe even with a little bit of something in them) and play cards sometimes this winter.
Right, that is me off to work. Hugs to any and all who need them.0 -
Hi everyone, sorry been a buzy bee over the weekend. Had work on Saturday, manic in the shop. Said collegue failed to turn up for work yesterday again, she claimed to be in hospital so I rang the 2 local ones. Guess what - she wasn't there...... another lie. Maybe that's what alcoholics do all the time. Well im due to be in this afternoon and working with her. Not a nice time im sure.
I have been hiding away for the last few days, this disaplinary hearing has taken its toll. Sleeping pattern is bad, and I feel really tired and low. The AD are helping in a way but yesterday I had a cry while laid in the bath - all I pray is I keep my job. Financially we could manage but we would be very very tight.
I will try and catch up with you all, but we do all tend to natter a lot on here. Thankyou everyone for letting me off load.
Mum and DD are fine on the cruise, last message they were both giggling as they said they were having a good time. So the inner naughty nan has emerged with her granddaughter. Im just glad that they are enjoying each others company - mum is 70 and DD is 22.
Take care everyone xBSC member 137

nutty ((hugs)) I am so sorry you are having to go through this - do you have any representation at your disciplinary stuff, because they shouldnt be able to have you feeling like this. Its also not appropriate that you have to continue to work with this other colleague or cover for her missed shifts. I know Gailey is using ACAS for her husbands work issues - please consider whether they may be able to help you too.
It may also be worth speaking to your GP, maybe some time off would help or a change in dosage for your ADs.
Well its been a busy morning already, DD18 woke up feeling really ill so went back to bed, leaving me entirely solo doing the morning and I have managed, which was my biggest concern, that when she starts uni next week I wouldnt be able to get everyone ready and out in time but today I proved I can do it which has settled my nerves some what.
Have taken car into garage and the mechanic has replaced a filter if that doesnt work I will have to get rid of it - the other part indicated is over £1000.0 -

Morning all.
So its finally hit the papers what OH’s brothers done & it isn’t good. Its caused huge issues here and even extended family of OH’s has been dragged into it.
It hit OH hard to say the least.
But we’re okay. We had a huge blow out at one another all day yesterday. I think it was needed as we was both so angry at everything going on. So now the air is cleared for the time being.
OH cooked yesterday. The most simplest meal but it was lovely. Pasta bake with sweet corn. So plenty left over for tonight’s dins & we also have some cooked mince if we want to add that later.
I have got quite a lot I want to get done today but my energy & mood is very low so I’ll just be plodding along I think.
Hope everyone is having a good day.Future goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -

Morning All,
Real life huhoften we get dragged in even when its nothing to do with "Us"
Word has got around about my difficulty with the concert on Friday and I have been asked to make an official complaint so it can be looked into, something I don't do lightly.
If it improves future shows, that's something...
I can count on one hand how many times I have had to do so in my life.
The sun is shining and it seems quite a nice day but I still feel quite
I may have a quick and easy meal later...often people bring in food(like a buffet)to the bingo on Sundays and I was given some quiche to bring home so how easy is that.
