It was allowed on Friday to take images at the Osmonds concert so for any fans here's one image...the only way you could see them was to stand up, raise a camera and sit down again. I was thinking of others but probably should have done what the others were doing.

My main view all evening was the backs of audience in front of me.

  • Pop - I am sooo jealous JCN!!! Had I been there I would not have been able to contain myself! As for funeral songs my dad wants Monty Python - The Universe Song.My mum had Memories and Time To Say Goodbye which was very poignant. As for me, don't care .Hope everyone is having a stress-free, happy Sunday! • I've just had my treat of the week, the lurcha and I were out on our afternoon walkies and I became aware of some high up bird activity, enough birds to make me notice them, fliting and wheeling around and they got a bit lower and I realised that they were swallows. There must be more than 100 all swirling round hunting a hatch of insects such beauty, such a treat. They must be stocking up on insects ready for thier migration to Africa, they're late this year they normally gather and go early in the month, I'll go down to the river later on today as they usually roost on the ropes from the masts of the moored up yachts and those in the boatclub compound and look like feathered bunting. It's the sound I like best though, thousands of twittery, argumentative, close packed swallows is a lovely thing, Cheers Lyn xxx.

StressedOutMummy I really did not mind people getting excited I like to see genuine enjoyment but like me you might have had problems seeing them...the problem was how the theatre staff arranged things and the design of the theatre itself.

The first half everyone stayed put but the crowd started to build up during the interval and were allowed to continue...people came forward from seats further back too.

Funnily enough Jimmy the youngest of the brothers on stage but at times he looked as though he was flagging...

    Hey Ho...

Something has gone wrong and I cannot upload images in the usual way to the internet at present but here's my attempt to decorate a Gingerbread Man:)

That cake flavour I could not think of earlier is chocolate, orange and...potato. Maybe that's something I can attempt when I start to bake during winter(unusual combinations for cakes)

    Afternoon toughies

Shegar ((hugs)) it feels ages since you last had respite to me so I can only imagine it feels an eternity to you. If you do think you are no longer able to carry on I am sure everyone around you will be supportive and understand what a difficult decision it is :)

I am exhausted today, I just have no energy at all and as much as I am trying to force myself to move I am drooping :)

Loads of posts I wanted to comment on but having been reading posts piecemeal today I have lost track of what has been said properly.

Thankfully I have managed to get DD7 homework done - whilst I appreciate that schools like to send some work home, I would personally appreciate a structured homework that she can do herself, rather than the two pieces she did get which required hours of my supervision and effort. Last weeks has not even been marked and if this weeks isnt marked either I think I am going to refuse to do any more. Finding the six hours plus to do this work is hard enough without the teacher not bothering to even acknowledge DD7 efforts.

For my funeral I am having every emotional hymn, song and music that I can find. I want to hear sobbing and see plenty of mopping of eyes with huge white handkerchiefs. A few groans of grief wouldn't come amiss either. If anyone feels like prostrating themselves in agonies of mourning that'll be OK too.
    Boy!!! They'd better miss me.

Kidcat has DD7 got this new Brain Builder homework? It's driving me up the wall. Airy fairy nonsense and takes an age. DD8 has 2 weeks to do hers, but there's 3 project type pieces (ridiculous questions like facts about France nobody else knows - how is she supposed to find them out if nobody knows them?!) as well as times tables, reading and spellings as usual.
  • My neighbours Mum who is 90 said to me that the family had asked for and been given nearly all her savings(she's not going to tell them though) and that when her will was read and they were told all the money had gone they would be crying and wailing and very unhappy, and everyone would say 'Look how upset they are because Maria has died, she must have been a wonderful person for such an outpouring of grief, I've never seen such family devotion'. You'll gather from this that she is a very strong willed lady with a pronounced sense of the ridiculous, bless her!!!
