Thanks Mrs. LW. It does look easy!0

Thankfully DD2 seems OK. But if there is a party this weekend there will be stern words about not passing bottles of beer or cider from person to person when there's GF going roundIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Well been to the docs, they signed me off for a month,
Feel lighter already, like a weight has lifted iynwim.
Had to rush out into the garden to put down the gazebo, the wind here is so strong and its raining.today's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

A quick post...only in that I am going out and the previous post was lost.
That's great news Cornishchick...make as much of the time as you are able(even if you are still busy/facing the same situation...its given extra time to do what has to be done and to share with OH.
Not a nice day weatherwise again. Thanks Margaret...I'm not toastie warm but not freezing, still managing, I think I can avoid the thermals for another day.
I may try and have a hot meal when I come in tonight but just had a Mug Shot and some hot drinks throughout the day and that's helped.
Thought I had done v. little today as I have slept a lot but I have put clothes away(after washing)new duvets/pilliows into the wardrobe and tidied up so that's not bad. I need to vacumn/dust but may need to repair/buy new vacumn.
That task can be done tomorrow night or on Thursday. Being on my own I have myself to please. Tonight its the music club/tomorrow afternoon the concert. So that's why I will put it off.
I'm pacing myself for a busy weekend and things could change. Sunday I have to decide between three events...one involves trains, another at Raby Castle and involves food*, another on the lines of living a OS life and being thrifty.
*Being at a food event on Saturday I'll probably give that one a miss."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Evening all.
Sorry to have been a bit MIA on the Doorstep, I struggle to keep up with it and tend to hang on the slower moving threads like SHTF and Hoarders where I can keep up.
Blasted life keeps getting in the way of my interwebulating.
I'm definately turning into autumnal mode with the furry blanket over the top of my duvet the past few nights and how lovely and snuggly it is.
Today I am hanging out whilst a batch of parsnip soup is cooking on the stove, low and slow, with parsnips from the Magic Greengrocer and onions from my allotment. Going to be good when we get there but will be a while yet.
I love wintry foods like thick soups and casseroles. Build warmth from the inside out, say I.
Haven't a hope in heck of catching up with the pages I've missed so sending ((((hugs)))) to anyone who feels in need of one and hoping any poorlies soon feel a bit better.

Evening all.
Sorry to hear of everyone's issues. It never rains, but pours right.
Hugs to everyone.
Been rather quite here recently which is a welcomed change. For the past month or so, I've been feeling like I've been dragging this thread down with my worries so trying to stay in the background slightly.
Spent another day with bubs.
Baby Ruby is amazing. & 7 weeks + 3 days old & teething. Her progress is amazing for someone still so little. She even started lifting her own head from 4 weeks old. I really cant believe just how much she's grown in a short amount of time.
She's also experiencing her first cold. Which the cutie-pie has managed to pass around to all of us.
Kezlou, I've messaged you back sweetie...xFuture goals:

Hi Kidkat - long time lurker here. I always marvel at how you keep your family going and look after everyone but you seem to be under a huge amount of pressure at the minute. I am glad that the school is going to ease up on the attendance/late thing. Is there anyway someone could drop your daughter off at school to give you a chance at one less drop off? Sorry for sticking my nose in but please take care of yourself, you do an amazing job.Do what you can, with what you have where you are.0

Thank you. There is no one to take DD7 for me, there are a few mums who have said if they are there early they will take her off me and watch her go in but no one to actually take her. The mums I was friendly with (and there isnt many because I am never there to make friends) last year are all in similar difficulties, one has left and gone to live miles away and the other two had to move their younger children to different schools due to issues in the younger class, they are doing the same as I am, racing in and out again
Well OH has not arrived home yet and has announced he is going in for 5.30am, I am sure this cannot be legal but have no energy to argue any more.0 -
Hi all:
Just a quick visit to give a big hug to all who need one.
Kidcat: you are in an impossible situation. Thank goodness the Head seems to be a reasonable person. Hang on in there sweetie, things might not get much better for you but surely they can't get any worse!
I am steaming about the arbitary way the benefits system is going. (Again!)
At the drop-in on Sunday I had one of our regulars in. An awfully nice chap, in his 40s and always very embarrassed at having to come for help. On the Bank Holiday week all the signing on days got muddled up and he mistakenly went on the wrong day to sign on. I bet you've guessed it. Yes, he was sanctioned and all his benefits stopped for 6 weeks. He has lost his bed-sit because he couldn't pay the rent and has not a penny to his name for anything. He is living in ' a sort of shed' on the beach. I guess it is a shelter where someone leaves a boat. When he was telling me all this he broke down and sobbed. He was absolutely desperate. As he said, he has paid his taxes for 30 years. It was dreadful and I felt so sorry for him. I arranged to meet him today but he didn't turn up, I think he is probably ashamed of breaking down. It's difficult to know what to give him in the way of food because he has no form of cooking at all. He can't even get hot water. Oh dear, I wish I could win the lottery then none of them would be in this desperate state again.
The Rev and I are off to see the middle Big Boss on the mainland tomorrow. I have a few things to say to him! He'll be glad to see the back of me.
Chilly here today and I am putting off getting into winter clothes. I'll only go so far as putting on a cardigan. My granny's voice echoes down the years, "You'll catch your death if you don't put a vest on."
Sorry Granny.

I really don't know what to say to all those who are having a bad time at the moment and havent a clue what to say to who...or is it whom? So I have a candle lit and am thinking of you all.
Monnagran bless your cotton socks hunny, that poor man, my heart goes out to him.
