This thread never fails to amaze me! The kindness and generosity of you all overwhelm me - sometimes to point of tears! It warms my heart that some of look out for each other and take some time to talk to each other. I wish I could give replies to every individual posts but love and best wishes to all!0

SQ, try keeping a track of things for about 3 months - headaches, Auntie Flo, mood swings, aches, tears etc - and then go to see your GP, a lady GP is generally best if you have one, for a chat.
thanks floss. I know what is up really but not one for visiting the GP unless really necessary and also not one for taking tablets unless I have to. It doesn't help that my GP is male and not someone you chat to, like talking to a stone, no bedside manner at all. He also seems to either write a prescription or refer you but nothing else! Oh boy I am making excuses aren't? I will think on it. thanks again for thinking of me

Gailey, sorry to hear your news. I remember a bleak day a few years ago, doodling a little picture of a rabbit popping out of a top hat with the legend..." No more Rabbits" over the top. I still have it in my address book, but you know there WERE a few more rabbits tucked in that hat somewhere. I'm sure you'll manage to find some too.
Ginny I'd be over the moon too, at the thought of not having to organise a weddingI think that's a fab thing they did anyway, very exciting!
You learn something new every day, today's thing was I learned Vanilla yoghurt is not an acceptable milk substitute on hot porridge!!! It had a kind of warm baby sick thing going on and I had to wash it off the porridge. We'd nearly run out of milk so I was trying to make do. Never again.
We've just had another nice dinner finishing off the beef from the market, apart from two slices I've hidden for my lunch tomorrowI made a sort of bubble and squeak from the leftover veg, OH got some tomatoes, cuc, lettuce, and rocket. We'd roasted some beetroot from the garden yesterday, and I made a beetroot, orange and feta salad too...I served it in some delightful tapas dishes I got in a charity shop...for 25p each LOL.
I did my baking day shopping too, so I am all set for tomorrows marathon, and someone had given me a £9 off a £60 shop voucher for Mr T so I bumped the basket up with a bottle of spiced rum on offer @ £13, so in effect it cost me £4. It's earmarked for rum and raisin fudge for the market. Was a good seller last Xmas. Also fetched my older DD back here to go through some bags of stuff my neighbour gave me that she though some of might do DD, as her DD has chucked it out. I persuaded her to give all of it for me to go through LOL, as I want some stuff to do upcycle experiments, and maybe some things to make I can sell, free fabrics always good! So DD got a huge bag, including some jeans, which she find hard to get to fit her. I've got a medium sized bag of bits and pieces, and we set aside a bag for the charity shop too! Some of the stuff was really expensive, Karen Millen, All saints, Fred Perry and Gaultier  Some of it was also very small!!! The gaultier top is set to be a hat LOL!

You're welcome hun. I have patches, the lowest level so far but will be upgrading them in a couple of months I think. First time I went I saw a dr who was similar age to DS1 and who as good as said "all in your head" and gave me a script for migraine meds I had just told him didn't work for me. 2 weeks later I saw the female GP and got my patches. Loads better and so convenient to swap a square inch patch every 3/4 days0 -
Gailey - welcome home, am so sorry its such a difficult time for you.
My OH was made redundant several weeks ago and after 16 years it was a shock, I tried to get advice from CAB but got nowhere until OH saw our GP and she referred him in due to his depression.
We planned a year of him being out of work to help me as a carer, but after just two weeks off he was offered a job and took it. I hope your OH finds similar.
I have to say I am exhausted and very down at the moment, OH new job is many more hours than his old one, a lower hourly rate, and more days - this week he has worked over 70 hours. It feels as though I am a single parent struggling alone with both boys. Its only been a week but DS9 has stopped responding to OH and will only do anything for me. DS15 is the same. The whole responsibility is now mine, I am juggling school runs, appointments and meetings and managing household stuff too.
OH worked today and promised to be a couple of hours, he left at 5.30am and returned at 7.30pm. BY which time I had sorted whole house, done the washing ironing and shopping, managed the kids, homework, reading and spellings, baths, hair washed and uniforms prepped. Visited my parents, organised DD18 to an interview and picked her back up.
Sorry I didnt mean to unload I am just so exhausted constantly and can see no end to the nightmare, which is so upsetting having planned a year of him being here to share the stress and caring.0 -
Gailey - sent you a pm.
lovely to see you back chick, just a shame its under these circumstances. Wait a couple of weeks and you should receive free dental care on the nhs.
fingers crossed someting comes up for OH and MIL gets back on her feet soon x
As for friends betraying you, don't get me started
Kidcat know exactly how you feel, we had massive meltdowns with both of ours yesterday. Did OH help me out, no not a chance because they only respond to me great stuff, not!
We'll get there chick!!
Today we just stayed in, its been dreadful, constantly blowing a gale, swear i saw mary poppins! Ah well at it was normal leaves flying in the air instead of gimp masks, like in the other house  In between that lots of really heavy rain. So we just stayed in and carried on watching lord of the rings, we were all in stitches laughing at glimli the dwarf.
Tomorrow i'm supposed to be at a panel meeting, don't really want to go, but said i would. don't really feel up to the world right now.
Think i just need to see my gp about a change a meds0 -

kidcat love, consider yourself hugged! don't you dare apologise for offloading, this is what we are here for and you, more than anyone, need to have some space to do that.
I wish we could do more for you to take some of the burden off your shoulders but we are all here for you and ready to listen. Please keep on posting.
I know it's not a long term solution but do you have any friends who can help you when the going gets really tough? Maybe pop in to run the hoover round and sort the dishes etc. On-line food shop if you don't already? Can DD18 do a bit more round the house, cook a few meals and so some of the laundry? Now is the time to use any help you can muster and all the short cuts re housework etc.
I hardly iron anything now - could you hang up tops and shirts to dry and only iron anything really creased? I save a lot of time doing that, don't use a fast spin speed, get clothes out straight after the washing machine has stopped and shake the clothes and stick on the line ideally or hang up indoors.
The other thingto consider is to temporarily give up your voluntary work - I know it means a lot to you but so does your health. Is there someone else who can step in at your support group for example?
Sorry if you have thought of all these things. Thinking of you lots. Please make sure you take some time out for you, even if 20 mins to relax in the bath or similar.

Big hugs to you too gailey. I remember a few of your posts from other threads. Sorry to hear of all your troubles coming together. As someone said earlier somewhere on here... all these things will pass. Life might seem almost impossible to cope with right now but you have got through tough times before and will again. Be strong and when you are not feeling strong.... come on here and we will help you find some strength.
Hope you sleep well and have a lovely day with your birthday girl tomorrow. You sound a lovely person and your daugher is lucky to have you, she will have a great birthday I'm sure.
take care

Aww Kidcat -sending some major hugs in your direction (pity they are only virtual). Makes your lovely comments about my DH giving up work even more lovely. If there is anything we can do (other than the obvious listening while you off load) then please shout.0

Thank you all. I need to find a way to forgive him for this and am a long way away from that point yet
Can I ask does anyone have an allergy/sensitivity to plasters? DD7 came home from school wearing the large white dressings on Friday having had a bad fall, we have removed them this morning and she has a very nasty rash from them, now it occurs this happened last time she had a large dressing on as well.
I am going to have to ask school not to use them but will need to be able to provide an alternative and am not sure what to give them.0
