GINNY thats lovely news congratulations to them.
FUDDLE I try and keep my herbs going all year on the kitchen windowsill, things like rosemary and lavender are OK outside the back door as they are a bit sheltered.
Try cut and come again lettuce I have had this on the windowsill inside as well and it is OK you don't get a huge amount but I think it makes me feel good to be able to pick a few leaves to pop in a sandwich in the depths of winter.
Garlic - I grew ours originally from a few cloves from a supermarket one and it has been fine.1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

Lovely news Ginny, what a fab way for them to do it.
The blue skies have gone, the clouds rolled in, the wind picked up and it's now lashing down. Never mind, the washing is all dry
Possession - good luck with the homework, I saw your question on FB and thought "Blimey, not an easy homework" , my two are quite self sufficient with their work and assessments now (I'm glad because it was getting to the point of me having to look up how to do their maths in order to help them).
An afternoon of a good film, a bit of sewing/crochet and some moggy snuggles planned for this house. (aside from DD1 who's working until 10pm)"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Pooky I've been about ready to explode with that particular piece of homework and my drama queen DD, but it's done now, probably not correctly or very well but she's only 8. DS had 12 different pieces of homework so that wasn't a piece of cake either. But now all done thank goodness.0

BBC reporter said on a tweet Autumn in his Garden at 6am when the temperature said 18c/60f degrees. Looked at my thermometer indoors a few minutes ago and its approx 16c/62f.
Still ok though...for now. By keeping under the quilt and wearing PJ top. And to keep warm I've had a Sweet and Sour Mugshot. If it would stay like this we'd manage reasonably well for the next few months.
Great news Ginny. My best to all of you."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

GINNY that's so lovely, I hope they had the best trip away and that they have a wonderful and fulfilling married life together for the years to come, just so romantic, like something from a movie!!! You could always have a nice day with a wedding cake and a little celebration at home with just your immediate family, that would make you happy and your dear OH would probably be able to cope with it much better in your own home? just an idea so you don't feel too much like you missed out, it's such good news, Cheers Lyn xxx.0
