I think even I could make that teacake...Originally I was thinking toasted teacake:rotfl:
Lol, well the fruit will still be soaking in the morning, so think i might risk heading to bed and maybe have half a sleeping tablet .. cos i can lay in in the morning, this morning as so late..today's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

Cornishchick, Good reviews from those who have tried it but will be interesting to see what you think(and others may try it too)
More than ever "anything goes" and twists are being added. I purchased some rolls from the SM bakery with flavours I've not tried before and again I think I'll attempt them sometime soon...perhaps I'll invent my own."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. I use this, Kims cake, for tea bread. You can experiment with different tea too, whichever recipe you use. I find earl grey works well, and it uses up those tea bags I won't drink. I have a better banana loaf recipe than the one on the link.
I seem to be awakeand I'm mightily fed up about it.
I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Son is back to his usual non-communicative self Mrs C, so I suppose that is a good sign
I'm another one who couldn't sleep and woke up even rattier than the RV - so he can be on the receiving end for a change. There's nothing worse than lying awake for hours next to a smug sound-asleep snoring body.
During the night I laid out my entire sales campaign for my soap empire, planned new lines and products, ordered tons of new fragrances and oils, and had them all wrapped in gorgeous handmade paper and ribbon. No wonder I'm worn oot ! And then you wake up :rotfl:
Sunny and bright here but the big storm coming tomorrow, weather warnings all over the place, so I'm getting the washing done now. Then going to pick the last carnations and roses and bring them in because they'll just get ruined.

Not usually about at this hour, well not on here anyway, but the Rev is away all day and this mouse intends to play.
For 'play' read 'start turning out the ex-dining room'. I can't open or shut the door at the moment because it is jam packed with food for the drop-in's food bank, masses of catering equipment, plus bin bags full of clothes, sleeping bags, duvets and blankets. Oh, and four tents. It would be good to get some sort of order there.
First I have to fly up to the market before the rain starts and the wind blows. We really catch it here on the coast so tomorrow looks pretty lively.
Have as good a weekend as you can everyone.
I may be back later.

DD and I up and about - ready to go off for her horse riding. The boys (DH and DS) are snoring away in our bed, they look so cute as both of them are fast asleep with their arms over their heads - like father like son! he sleep in will do them both good and DH will have lunch ready for when we get back. And DH did stir himself long enough to help me get DD up and dressed.
Sun is out here this morning but it feels really autumnal out (actually I quite like it!), it's DD's first vest day of the season as it can be perishing up at the stables.
Ok must fly - catch you all later X0 -
Pops
I am so glad you mentioned about the fruit flies - they have been sending me crackers as DH has a small composting caddy in the kitchen and keeps bringing in veg from garden.
I have emptied and scrubbed the caddy and also the kitchen bin and am about to attack kitchen worktops, sinks etc and put stuff down the drains before hoovering and washing the floor.
Monnagran
Your version of "play" sounds like very hard work. Try to pace yourself if you can and don't overdo it.
As DH and dd have gone to take youngest back to uni with a fully crammed car, I can try to clean kitchen without someone constantly wandering in wanting cup of tea, cold drink etc and complaining because floor is wet and slippy
Enjoying peace and quiet and browsing on here with a cup of tea before springing er shuffling into action.
DH starts radiotherapy on Tuesday so after a month of daily treatment we hope to have stopped the carcinoma in its's tracks. Trying him on home made smoothies, blended soups etc so he gets used to certain dishes before he needs to have them if treatment affects his ability to chew, swallow etc."This site is addictive!"

Yes Monnogran, that doesn't sound like my kind of play at all! I have a similar weekend ahead of me but I'm not calling it playing, I'm moaning about it!
The house is an absolute pigsty so that's a priority - the giant rabbits were spayed in the week so we've been concentrating on getting them better, plus DH has been poorly so not a lot has been done. They are slowly recovering I think. DS has his karate grading today so we're keeping our fingers crossed - he'll be devastated if he doesn't get it. DH has a couple of jobs to apply for, he sent one off yesterday as a recruitment agent had been chasing him. CV is tweaked and ready to go. Other than that just the mountains of homework the children have, and DD will definitely want to watch Strictly tonight.
Have a good weekend everyone.
PS Fuddle I saw lots of xmas crochet decorations on Pinterest this morning, some are on a new board I made if you want a look. I think it's ambitious to think I might get crocheting again but never say never.
The very best of luck to Mr Elona with his radiotherapy.0 -
Morning Elona,
Well firstly and most importantly thinking/wishing well for your OH...I like the plan regarding how to keep him nourished. Did a similar thing for Mum and there are ways to fortify such meals to help avoid possible weight loss.
As you know I gave in and used fly spray for the fruit flies...I did not do so lightly. I used so little but its done its business. I really was tired of swarms of the blighters and I'd allowed it to go for days, I tried ignoring them, swatting them.
But within minutes they'd gone. Mine were in the bathroom, toilet and on the landing, who knows why.
Downstairs was not a problem. I felt a bit strange mentioning them but have found out others have them/had them. What's happened this year."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Pops and possession
Thanks for the good wishes for DH.
I might just buy some fly spray as well as attacking the kitchen and drains etc with cleansers and bleach. If I am going out for colour run stuff (DH loaded machine with dark clothes and dds new white tops
) then I will mooch around the aisles.
DD has been hinting about me making fruit loaf so might get some dried fruit and give it a try later and force feed DH some with lots of butter (if he loses any more weight he'll fall down a drain!)
Going to amble into some sort of action now so see you later and hugs to all."This site is addictive!"
