Thanks - we were arguing. He said it should be at 5 all through, I said for a while then turn it down to 2. Phew!

Afternoon all, been reading but not had time to post this week, plus we're all really tired at the minute, and the black dog is breathing down my neck!
(((Hugs))) to those in need, sounds like a lot of us just now, sorry to hear of pet and human woes.
fuddle, I know you don't like to upset people, but I think your aunt was rather out of line - methinks a guilty conscience making her have a pop at you? Is she your mum's sister? You've done more than you ought to already, even though she's your mum, the others are right, just concentrate on DH and the girls - you know where I am if you need a moan! :kisses3:
Talk of stew reminding me to take some meat out of the freezer for tomorrow, thanks! Mar, I'd do it at 5 for a bit then turn it down to 3 or 2 until tea time.

Hi all.
Been a busy bee here today. Doggers are finally a sleep after having a manic morning of constant running around like Looney’s!
Managed to get quite a bit done today with the bills, debts, ect. I was a amazing feeling being able to contact the debt companies asking if we could higher the repayments slightly as OH is back at work full time again.
I’ve also plucked up the courage to start a DFW diary. Should I dare say that finally thing’s are looking positive? I don’t know how I would have managed these past few months without you bunch of lovely & amazing people keeping me on track. For that I thank you.
Has anyone heard from Kezlou? I’m wondering how she’s getting on??Future goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -

Oh the futility of modern living!!! Just been into town on the bus and came back with an older aquaintance from the village and as the bus drove away she realised she had not got her purse which had her door key, her bus pass and a credit card in it. It had been on her lap and she'd forgotten and it must have fallen on the floor. I brought her home and we tried and tried and tried to contact the bus company, could we get anyone anywhere to answer the phone? Oh no we could not. We managed to contact the bank and get the credit card sorted but the only way we could find any help from the bus company was to go to the bus stop and get the driver to radio in to base, thank goodness he was very helpful, so that left her shut out and with no transport available as the bus pass was in the purse!!!! She was going home to see if a neighbour could help her get into the house, and will ring me or come back here if that proves impossible. Poor woman, well over 80 and as independent as they come I hope she's ok. To add insult to injury we'd left a message on the answer phone at the bus depot and our own phone number so they could tell us if the purse had been handed in and they rang and as the answerphone cut in here hung up!!!! Oh God, where is the customer service in all this??? We wait now to see if they can be bothered to ring again, Grrrrrrrrrrr I hate faceless officialdom and automated phone systems!!!!!0

Me too Mar, very grumpy about tree man, and it has put me in a right mump. Just about to rectify that with a nice cup of tea and a toasted teacake. Hopefully my mood will improve before he comes at three, otherwise he might find himself on the wrong end of his own axe!
What rotten luck for the poor lady Lyn and terrible service!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
Thanks both!
I knew it would be a toughie, curry stains always are. I'll try the bicarb and then the bleach. If I can't get them out I will dye as it is very comfortable and I love it!
What would you lot call 'late morning'? Suffice to say that was when tree man said he would be here...
Mrs C that Ariel Spray in the blue bottle is marvellous stuff. It's quite pricey so I stock up when Mr T has it on offer. It's shifted some really extraordinay stains, like when one lot of the B&B guests knocked a bottle of red wine over my white beddingthey couldn't believe I wasn't having a fit, and I showed them the stuff after it had been through the machine. Restored to pristine white
Only thing if you spray it on, and leave to soak, don't leave it in daylight, cos' the uv turns chlorine bleaches yellow  But it did get that off too eventually!

Thanks Kate, I'll look it out, but might try bicarb first as I have got a 5kg tub of thatThink big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

Afternoon All,
Interesting about the stains...I've used that Ariel stain remover too:)
Teacakes? I've some of them may go and have some with cheese.
I was going to go out just for something to do but will wait until tonight's music club now. It looks cold and dull outside. A well known weatherman is suggesting snow for the Highlands by next week:(
