  • Hi MOLLY good to hear from you but so very sad that you had to discharge yourself due to your poor dad. I'm really pleased that he is much better now but you must look after yourself really well and make a full recovery before you take on the world lovie. So sorry about Mr Chay Chay and fully understand that you can't tell your dad at the present time. Promise you'll look after yourself and take it as easy as you possibly can until you're better? I'll bet Molly and Poppy are so very pleased to have you back home and that faithful little Molly dog is laying by your side as you type, yes? Hugs and happy thoughts for you too love, Lyn xxx.

Yes she is here but Im so anxious about her now as she is 10 years old.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • So is Docky and I'm going to love him as much as I can and help him enjoy every day of his life for as long as we can share it, it's all you can do pet and they love you back just as much, Lyn xxx.

MrsLW, thankyou so much for your kind words. I think today has been the day for everything to just get overloaded. Mum is feeling ok now, but I check everyday to make sure shes doing as she should. Ive tried to catch up with the housework, but it feels as though there is still so much to do. Next door has just woke up at 3pm and is playing the most aweful music very loud. Now where is that heavy metal cd I bought..........

    take care x

So sorry to hear about your dog Molly, its an horrendous decision to have to make, I have had to do it twice and it was traumatic.

Fuddle pet....the only adult you are responsible for is you....can't remember who suggested that you should have put down the phone but they were right, unless your mother is prepared to help herself there is nothing anyone can do.

No rain today so I should be out looking for blackberries....went all the way round a 2 acre field the other day and got 10 blackberries, nothing else looked as if it would ripen any time soon...will take Mossy and OH with me in the morning and try the other fields as DS3 has ordered some blackberry and apple jam....he may have to do with apple cheese/jelly!

Fuddle - I'd be tempted to phone said relative back and explain exactly what you've done and how you've tried to help. Whilst I appreciate you shouldn't have to defend yourself it might make you feel better to have explained it and have her know the whole story. Chin up x

Molly - hope your week improves, lots of rest x

Spoke to tax office, they said DH has been taxed on his £5900 worth of JSA....DH has never claimed JSA but said, pay me the £5900 and I'll happily pay a £700 tax bill! (they didnt find it amusing :() We now have to write to them to get them to "look into it". I really don't understand why we have to Do all the running when they're in the wrong but hey ho.

Mince, veg and gravy in the SC waiting for dumplings to be dropped in later.....smells delish.

    Hello x
Just about to read back. It has been one of the toughest (but not quite) times of my life this past week. I had to discharge myself from hospital as my dad was in intensive care with a stroke - although he is much better now. Yesterday my boy westie doggy, Mr Chay Chay (named by my children) had to be put to sleep as he had a huge cancerous growth. He was my first dog and went to live with my parents after my father's mother died as he liked a quiet life and disliked teenage boys (of which there are quite a few) visiting the house. He was devoted to my dad and of course we cannot tell him as he will be devastated.

Anyway Im on enforced bed rest today as the physical stress has laid me low but up and fighting for another day.

    Kind Regards x

Oh dear me, sorry you are having lots of problems, not good when our pets leave us.......so sad....

Rosie slept very well in her cage next to my bed , ubder 2 fleecy warm blankets, she went straight under and done her "making her bed bit" and down she went , she didnt need to to outside during the night , all was calm, so that was very good..........She went to loo outside on a little walk and done normal jobs, no diarreah , she is quiet , but seems not to have any pain , so ive not been to the vets today.......

I will keep close eye on her and see how things pan out, obviously , if she goes downhill , I wont hesitate to go to the vets............
I expect its just a matter of time now with her , she is more clingy to me now than ever today , she want me to sit with her but im finding it a bit hard cos I hate sitting about, id rather be out and about working etc jobs............

But as she may not be with us for so much longer im spending time cuddling up with her , cos shes always a shivery sort of dog, prob as shes so tiny.................The weather seems to have got a bit chilly this afternoon, still got sun but its definately weaker than a few days ago....Sheils
  • RANTING POST!!

So, As many of you know, We’ve been working hard recently to get on top of our bills and start becoming DFW’s. However there is one company in particular that seem to KEEP getting it wrong.

EDF. They are charging us twice for their electric! A year ago we got on a ppm so we could budget, However, I received a bill about 8 weeks ago stating that we owe £654.12. This was after I had written to them explaining that someone hasn’t updated their records. Just spoken to them now and their saying that we’ve paid £38 off in a year. But they cant understand why our electric is still on!

I’ve told them twice now that we have a ppm plus, I’ve been asked if I could take a picture of the meter and its serial number to verify my claim.

To top it all off, They have “loaded” a debt of £550 to our meter, This debt should only be £300!

I’m so angry at these major companies being able to just make mistakes and we (THEIR CUSTOMERS) have to deal with the fall out.

Word of warning, If anyone is considering a move, DON’T COME HERE!
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy
  • GRRRRRRRRRRR on your behalf PX87,is it any wonder the country is in the mess it's in today with incompetent uncaring stupid practises going on with the major utilities companies and government departments??? If only they would collectively put THIER OWN houses in order before trying to bully thier customers and the general population into submission and if only the departments concerned would do a competent job in the first place this workaday world would be so much less complicated, yes??? Huffily (on your behalf pet!) Lyn xxx.
