mrs LW - Pushkin sound adorable.....I woke up to 2 offerings, cotton wool would have been easier to clean up!
VJs - that accident at Sheppy looks awful, we get a lot of fog on this edge of Kent and the a out of people that don't have their lights on is astounding.
Mar - your soaps look lovely, Can you pm me a price list or a site you sell them from? DDs stockings could do with some nice soaps.
I'm having my first fast day in months, I've only just started to feel a bit wobbly and hungry so dinner will be very welcome this evening, I managed a decent swim this morning too. I got chatting to a lovely chap in the sauna (as you do), he had the most amazing Irish accent and was as, as he put it "as gay as the biggest gay thing in gay land". He had me in fits of giggles describing other people in the pool....when they came into the sauna I had to leave as I couldn't control myself. POOKY the Pushkitten is just beginning to find 'outdoors', he's been a housecat until now as the vet said to keep him in until he'd been neutered, which has now happened. DD has been teaching him the way back into the house by bribing him with a piece of chicken every time he makes it back on his own. He loves catching flies in the house, he brrrrps at them and meows them down to his level to catch with a flying two pawed leap. In the garden the other day he found bees!!!!! He did catch one, dropped it quickly and yelled and dashed indoors but we don't think he was stung, it just must have buzzed in his paws and vibrated and scared him. He's going out with Mumi when she's home now, but hasn't discovered how to use the cat flap,he is adorable though, even if he is very naughty!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.
Hi LILLIBET how's the cider making coming along? We've just collected and processed 5 bucketfuls and 3 very large bagfuls of apples from a friends tree. I've got apple cutters blisters and wrinkly hands from constantly being in the wet. He Who Knows is still blitzing and pressing them outside and then I'll be washerupper, we've got about 15 gallons so far, and these apples are really juicy so I expect at least another 5 from them, It's going to be an alcoholic winter I suspect!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.0 -
Goodafternoon to you all. I'm having a quick check in as my fall yesterday hasbanged my hips about and set off the sciatica in left leg so I can't sit formore than 5 minutes.:( The painkillers don't seem to hold it much so am resortingto exercises recommended by physio. Feel like a proper wreck at the moment. Thanks for all the kind thoughts.
SDG – Glad meds are working and you’refeeling calmer. I’m after a sewing machine myself. Keep hoping one will comethru on Freecycle.
Molly – Everything always seems to wrongat the same time. Hope your dad is doing better now and that you start to feelbetter as well.
Mardatha – Good to hear that your sonhas had his operation. Hopefully the pain should start to ease soon. What anawful thing to happen.
Alfsmum – Glad the Occ Health Dr wasok with you. Surely the washing will wait. Give yourelf some time to relax andcalm down.
Kezlou – must have been such a relieffor you that things went well for your son and that you could be reassured thatthe support is there for him.
That’s as long as I can sit at the moment soI’ll go and do some more exercises.

Hello Mrs. L and Docky :j
I'm not sure about this cider-making lark!! I've only got the one demi-john on the go at the moment coz I didn't want to waste too many apples in case I got everything wrong:o
However, although it has separated into pond sludge at the bottom, urine-coloured liquid in the middle and the 'creature from the deep' at the top, it isn't burping or bubbling:undecided I'm wondering whether the air lock is not as air-tight as it should be.
My local Wildlife Trust has some fantastic courses available at the various nature reserves here in Essex. I'm sure the other county groups hold the same courses. I'm booked onto a Fugus Foray, a Hedgerow Harvest Day, a basket-making course and a couple of day-courses making natural Christmas decorations from greenery around the Reserve. How OS is that:T

normal??? What is that? Personally I have no idea.
I have discovered how to get DH to garden. I simply have to get completely fed up and wondering when the neighbours are going to form a lynch mob due to the state of it. Then I go out and do most of it myself until DH joins in. The back garden is still a nightmare however. I'm trying to convince myself that it is a wildlife haven.
AOT I hope that the exercises are working and that you recover quicklyIf I was closer I would be more than happy to share my new toy with you.
mardatha Welcome back
Pooky That chair is darling. You clever thing you
kezlou I'm glad that speaking to school went well.
Masses of healing vibes to you and your Dad molly Take care please.
fuddle I think I have the big sister of your sewing machine. I agree that it is lovely and very user friendly.
I happened to read the mse email about claiming compensation for flight delays. If the figures are right and US Airways actually pay out then we are due about £2000 for our two day delay in 2011. I set DH to work researching and writing letters, so fingers crossed everyone please. That amount of money would be a huge chunk off our debt or new windows that are desperately needed.
I am roasting at the moment, the humidity here is horrendous. I need to go into the kitchen and make spag bol for dinner but am dreading it. I'd better go and do it otherwise DH will be grumpy and I should reward him for gardening.
Thank you all for your kind words. They really do mean a lot to mexxxxxxx

A friend has visited this evening, Mr VP went to collect DD2 from athletics and forgot about my friends car until he reversed into it.
Oh boy is he in the dog house now. The friend took it all very well although it was easy to see the shock written all over his face.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.
