A very early morning toughies, I finshed at 10 last night and I have to be back in at 715am, boy am I pooped. It is thick with fog here too...

Today is my mums 70th birthday, And I wont get to see her. DD is going to make her a cake, and she is going to visit her for a while.
I notified my brother yesterday that its mum birthday, he never remembers. Maybe one time I will not tell him, and see what happens - but my mum would be upset so maybe not.

Arthritic old thing, hope your ok. did you get the voucher?? I posted 1st class.

Have a great day everyone x

    Morning all

nutty - Blimey, back in by 7.15, I'd be needing matchsticks.

It's a beautiful morning, all fresh and breezy (hope the breeze stays as its supposed to be 28 degrees today!!)

Big fat cat decided he needed to sleep as close to me as possible last night, it was far to hot for that and kept moving from my pillow to wanting a cuddle....honestly he's a real nightmare sometimes (but very purry so you can almost forgive him)

DD2 is back at school today, she asked for a lunch box with proper "mummy food" in, last year all she wanted was plastic bread and a pack of crisps as that's what everyone else had but she's enjoyed her 6 weeks of homemade bread/rolls and baking.

DH applied for a CC via an offer on here for 6 free bottles of wine, he was accepted and ordered the wine last night, 4 bottles are destined for Christmas presents. I'm making everything else for Inlaws and my parents, my sisters kids get £10 each (we never started down the expensive present route and stop when they turn 16). I've made a good start on stuff for DDs stockings (body sprays, body lotions, hair bits and make up) so I'm getting there.

  • Morning Toughies, DD1 texted early this morning to say she has woken up to a house full of snow!!!!! Odd we thought, it's very warm here so on asking for an explanation she said the Pushkin Kitten was looking very pleased with himself and purring loudly at the bottom of the bed, 'Pushkin, what is it?' she asked, Purrrrrrrrrrr..........kitten jumps pff bed dissapears into the landing and comes back with more snow, looking very pleased with himself. ' Pushkin, where is it coming from?' she asked, Pushkin left the room again and came back with a cotton wool ball which he proceeded to shred before her eyes and bat about the room with his paws, purring very, very loudly. He'd found an entire new bag of cotton wool balls and shredded about 3/4 of them during the night, Baaaaadddddddd Kitten, but so funny!!!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.

    Morning all :)

mardatha I really hope your son has had his op and that he heals quickly x

Lyn I am so glad that the wedding went so well. My DH did the same thing as your new SIL and joined in my vows. You can see me on the wedding video trying to get him to stop and still keep a straight face.

    Well done Miss Pooky :T

AOT I hope you are ok after your fall.

Happy birthday to your DM nuttyp :)

Well I am still alive and kicking. Thankfully my tablets seem to have started working and I am feeling a lot calmer. The negative thoughts that constantly streamed through my brain seem to have been stopped as well which is wonderful. It's a good job as we have been dealing with DH having problems with his ears. The GP thinks there is a chance he has Meniere's Disease which is reportable to the DVLA. If he can't drive then he doesn't have a job, so everything is crossed that he has just had an inner ear infection.

It was my birthday on Sunday so I am now the proud owner of this lovely new gadget- http://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-jl110-sewing-machine/p527345?colour=Turquoise :D We had a few problems buying one and originally came home with a Brother machine due to mistakes on the John Lewis website. It turned out not to do half the things the website said it did, so it went back yesterday. A lovely lady called Chantelle went above and beyond and I got the new machine, some money as a good will gesture and a voucher for tea and cake for two in the caf!. Free cake works for me :D. Now I just need to learn how to use the thing and see if I ever manage to sew a straight seam. Does anyone have any ideas/patterns for easy things I could make please?

Much hugs and love to everyone xxxx

It always goes tits up when you least need it. My Dad has just been rushed into hospital with heart problems and my Mum is disabled. Hubby has gone across to see what is going on but Im stuck here with this wretched bolt stuck in my head. Oh God .........it never rains but it pours and thunders and lightening.

Happy Birthday to your mum nuttyp, its mine today as well, another 3 years before I hit 70.

I'm having some money towards a new mobile phone. Been into the shops to have a look and came out again bewildered by all the shiny different ones, only have a basic cheap one at the moment.

The plum jam I made yesterday hasn't set so I'd better go and reboil it.

Son had his op at 1 o'clock yesterday, many many thanks for all good vibes. Going up to see him today as the DIL said he was in agony last night and struggling with pain relief. Expect he'll be a bit better today and might get out soon.
Re the saga of the liver and the green stuff, I had a brainwave. I snipped the tops off and fried in butter, then glopped it beside the liver. It was much better than the usual boiled to death limp version that I do :D

BJ, if you go to Ikea Family Mobile site, they have nice ordinary phones there - but not internet ones.

AOT how are you after your fall x

pooky fab news!!! First time as well :D

    happy birthday nuttyps mum!!

SDG glad you got your meds sorted out.

Monnagran the revs becoming quite famous! sorry to hear about the funeral :(

Fuddle when i have too much tea / coffee, my panic attacks get worse. I also suffer from migraines i drink more than two cups of coffee, now i just drink tea. I've stopped drinking decaff tea and coffee as i found i drank more which then made my body worse. Daft eh?

after much stressing finally got ds2 to school yesterday after that it went well. The senco saw how stressed he was and immediately took us both into the school so we could him in his classroom. His teacher saw he and took him straight under her wing :) Had to reasure ds2 that his teacher, the senco would be there and if he felt stressed to immediately go and see them.

Had a chat with the senco and the deputy head about D and the threats, i have been reassured that if she comes near the school she will be asked politely to leave. They are also on about asking the school social worker to contact her about attending a coffee morning. But i have been reassured that my name wont be mentioned.

DS2 came back happy and smiling at 3pm. :)
    So thats all good.

Fingers crossed all goes well today :)
