Morning all
Hester so glad to see you back, I'm a longtime lurker of your blog, and nice to see you up and running again. Hope the family looks after you as you get better, ((hugs)).
fuddle, didn't know you were on twitter, text me?
The dreadful humidity's broken here now, blowing a gale and much fresher - stood on the doorstep with me cuppa earlier - gorgeous! :j
I'm doing tedious, too, this morning (grocery shopping) but this aft hope to go to little nearby town where I found THE most fab CS the other week - just HAVE to return! Well, it would be rude not to!! :rotfl:
Seem to have accumulated scores of eggs, so will have to grade 'em by age/smell and do a ton of baking now the weather's better for baking.
We sleep with windows open almost year round, but one bedroom door keeps slipping its catch and bangs all night unless there's something there (think sock at edge of door frame!), which happened all last night, but I couldn't be arrised to sort, so am a bit grumpy through lack of sleep!
Have a good day, peeps, off for second cuppa then to brave the chav central where I live! :rotfl:

I did Sheila, slept brilliantly with the window open. I am a sissy! There's no real risk down here I think but with the pice helicopter forever flying over the river it makes nervous. I agree though, fresh air is definitely natures feel good gas.
How much kelp are you taking kelpers? Ours says its 150mg and to take 1 or 2 tablets daily. We don't know wether to take 1 or 2!
Twofishes, excellent news!! Your posts sound chipper. So pleased to read of the right outcome and that you have something to look forward to.
Welcome back Hester, sorry you have been poorly. If you or anyone else minds, would you PM me the link?
Kez my phone change your name to Jezebel lol guess where we are going today? Sheep wash! I need a picnic then we're off
It's been a very difficult week (mam) and it has drained me emotionally but now able to box off that life and live my normal life. Also we're plotting a different future, very exciting but might not come off so I'm keeping shushed until its signed and sealed. Fingers crossed I have news soon.
It's unbelievable how life alters course, even if it just threatens a change, its enough to lift spirits and think of new ideas.0 -
Text you now cheaps x0

Morning All!
Not posted for a while, but have been reading,
:T for evryone with good newsfor those in tough times - esp Byatt. I did PM but I don't think she is coming online. Can someonelet me know if she is ok?
We are busy busy here, top of the season so working lots as well as OH doing a lot of voluntary driving. Weather has been kind, a few downpours, plenty of sun and only a couple f days of muggy weather. Nights have been much cooler than London which is good. I would love to have the window open but we are right on the road (quite literally) and the noise would not be good. I have one of those little tower fans which has a timer so I set that up at the end of my side of the bed and it cools my feet!
I have a new pet!! Well not really a pet but we found a little sparrow chick hopping about by the van yesterday (we were parked at the camp, there hare hundreds of sparrows there, lovely). Normally we would just have moved it somewhere safe, but there is something wrong with it's eyes, they were not open even though it's nearly fully fledged. I brought it home and bathed it's eyes and they opened a timy bit, but they do not look right so I think it may be blind. It is feeding well and had a few wing flaps this morning, so seems happy enough, but I doubt it can go back unless it's eyes improve. So will have to find somewhere that looks after wild but injured birds. It's so cute, but having to feed every hour is a bit of a bind!
We got a bit of a shock last night during service. I had to send OH back home for something and he bumped into our godson down in the village (they live in Suffolk). It seems the whole family have come down to surprise us - he swore OH to secrecy about meeting him!. So we expect them to descend on us at the camp tonight. Queue frantic cleaning and tidying this morning, the house was a tip as we have been busy . It will be great to see them but neither OH or I like surprise visits! We did ask them to let us know if they were coming (it was hinted at last year), clearly they decided they know better! If we are as busy as last Saturday they will have to wait until service is over, we will be rushed off our feet during service. That'll teach them!
Right, got to get dressed, feed chick, finish tidying all my bead stuff away, feed chick, prep fish for tonight, feed chick, hoover round downstairs, feed chick...........Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
Hester - ((hugs)) take care and rest up as much as needed
Mrs Chip - Byatt hasnt been online much at all, as she is poorly, I will message her to catch up later and see how she is and report back
I cannot believe they are all going to just arrive on mass to visit with no warning - I would be so cross.
We are off out again today to escape my parents, they are highly likely to arrive this morning and I cant be doing with them, I keep getting texts asking me what we have been doing, did we go out, where did we go and if I dont reply he just sends the same message over and over again. If I reply with all fine thanks, I then get more messages asking for details. Its freaking me out now and I feel really suffocated, am trying to keep it at a level as if I confront them it will only make it all so much worse. Grrr!!
Mrs LW - thank you so much for the suggestions, we are definitely going to do Weald and Downland, I have also found Drusillas? which I could use T@sco vounchers for. Will be heading to see the boats at Portsmouth as well - I particularly want to do the whole Mary Rose thing too. And as our friends are now living not far we are planning a meet up with them too. So I have the whole thing planned out, OH is not impressed we will be leaving DD18 here on her own, but she will hopefully be at Uni so not able to come, it also means she gets a rest from us and she can look after the animals as well.0 -
It's the season for out - of- season bargains for sure, I've bought a winter coat for £35 in a sale.... Faux wool, so machine washable, a lovely red.
That brings my total spend on clothes this year to £57, all sale bargains.
Not bad for someone who probably spent twenty times that amount a few years previously. In my defence, that was the first time I had spare money for clothes and boy, did I splurge...
Not on designer stuff, it's nearly all Primarni and ex-catalogue shop. Though the ex-cat place has some Joe Bloggs stuff, wearing my fave Joe Bloggs top today.
Those clothes will be lasting me a long time.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Can I urge any of you that can to get down to your local @sda and make a donation towards your local food bank, it's a nationwide campaign and they hand out a very helpful little list of items they'd like."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
