Oooh Pops, you tempter you. And it's my fasting day today. However I did well and treated myself to a rice cake (aka polystyrene tile) spread nice and thickly with Quark and topped with a spoonful of strawberry jam. I could almost think I was having a cream tea. Almost.
Mrs LW: I taught near Singleton and have been going to the Weald and Downland since its early days. I've taken many school parties there and can't tell you how many wax tapers I have made with children on Tudor Days. One of my favouite places too and all the area round there. The Rev and I make a point of going to Chichester two or three times a year. I mean....they have Lakeland!
Pooky: I couldn't agree more about bedroom windows. On one famous occasion I woke up to find that it was snowing on my pillow!
I'm out all day tomorrow and then have Sunday afternoon to do washing, ironing, packing, cleaning and getting the house and garden ready to be left for a week. We're off at 8.30 Monday morning. The week we come back is worse. The day after we arrive I'm doing lunch for about 20 (I just love the Rev's 'about', last time if you remember her 'about 40' turned out to be 170). The day after I have 6 for supper and 2 days after that is the church summer picnic and barbecue.
It's OK, I'm wingeing again. Cut the violins.

Get well soon everyone who's feeling poorly!
I passed my appeal and am going back to uni!I also got a very nice cheque in the post as I've got back my deposit from when I was in halls of residence, and got a place on the volunteer team for a festival (Greenbelt) over the August bank holiday weekend (I get vouchers towards my food over the festival weekend as well as free entry, all I need to bring with me is clothes and my tent stuff)!

Lol, I've just bought 6 pairs of wool mix thermal overknee socks and a thermal under-top for £17 delivered + TCB from M&S outlet (they had 2 codes stacking on thermals), and am flirting with getting some snow boots (can find them in my titchy size for about £14 now).
I am very aware this sun won't last forever!
I never thought I'd see thermal overknee socks and flirting in the same sentence.'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'

Evening all!
Aw thanks flossy, were due to arrive on friday 25 th till monday , so its a long weekend. Any help or recommendations would be amazing.
Today we went to sheepwash near osmotherly. It was gorgous and hot, we asked the boys where they wanted to go. Ds2 immediately said sheep wash.
So after my physio appointment we drove there straight away, had so lovely picnic. they climbed.all over and paddled in the stream. After that we took the dinghy out for a paddle. First OH took the lads out in it, which they loved. Them all three.persuaded me , glad I went out so peaceful saw loads of fish.
We then played some more and watched the clouds bash together. The sounds they were making were fantastic.
Came back and then the lads went outside and played cricket again.
Fuddle sheepwash is amazing for the kids, you can park for free, stay as long you like,. Walk on the moors and alfie would love it paddling:)0 -
Not sure.what were doing tomorrow after OH's park run. So while hes there going to plant some veg , have a cuppa and enjoy a peaceful morning while the lads are in bed.
Oh I got some really good news, I became involved with a local coffee morning and guess what, the local library has agreed to let us host another one! But even more surprising, the local disability matters team wants to advertise us for free. They told my friend who I'm partnered with that the group was so friendly and she felt instantly welcomed. She was so impressed that two parents could create such a friendly atmosphere and provide the coffee mornings while the kids were off school with entertainment I.e use of libraries pc, drinks, snacks, colouring books etc
Having.such a compliment is so lovely and a real confidence booster, my friend and I are over the moon. Just had to share : D0 -
Hi all
Yes it's me, I was rushed in to hospital a couple of weeks back, I've been home a week now and I'm slowly improving, my poor DD is run ragged from looking after me as well as her own family and hubby's boss has made life as difficult as possible by changing his shift patterns daily. Still hubby has next week off so that will be easier.
I lost my MSE login and my email and blog, I have started a new blog, but it's a bit short & sporadic at present as I'm still not on top form.

I won't let DH keep the window open of a night as I'm scared if intruders. I woke this morning after having a really nice sleep - the window had been wide open all night, unbeknown to me.
All windows are left open during the day, sometimes even when it's feeling chilly. I don't do air freshner, just free fresh air.
Hi Hester, welcome back nice to see you. So many people have been worried. Do you still have your blog?
3D's DD&D is she ok does anyone know?
See you slept better with the window open...!........
I live in a bungalow so all windows low, but I still have my little and big window open night and day and I sleep on my own , never bothers me, youve got your husband to protect you , cmon on dont be a sissy girl......Mind you we dont get much crime out here........Plus I think you know in yourself if the area is safe where you live.....
Love my fresh air whatever time of year it is, espeically winter nights with frosts and the windows open, arhh lovely.........As long as your warm in bed........
Well its a sunny slightly windy morning , suppose to get to 25 degrees today, glad we got a bit of wind to help keep it all breathable..........But we musnt moan as weve only got 4 weeks and the autumn will be here ,..What a terrible thought , the downward spiral to christmas...........
Im pottering in the house and outside today , love those sort of days , where you do it if you want or not..:D...Enjoy your day all of you...Sheila ...0 -

I came back from my hols last month, was getting back into my routine and checking in with my favourite bloggers and you weren't there. Wahhh!I felt childishly-bereft and worried about you, but found your new blog via the comments section at Frugal Queen. See, what you do does count. People notice and care.
I really wish I could sleep with my bedroom window open. These flats are tiny and very hot but we're bang in the city centre and there is a lot of ambient noise for the first half of the night. I can work around that but what's driving my neighbours who sleep with windows ajar bonkers is the constant racket from the emergency homeless accomodation across the road.
Ye gods and little fishes, but they're a bunch of scuzzers. Constant effing, shouting, screaming, constant coming and going inc in taxis in the small hours, gaggles of their scuzzy mates coming around and yelling up at the windows for them, all in the small hours. On and on, night after night, doors being put thru, Polis up and down....... ambulances in and out, you name it, we put up with it. Grrrr. Gawd help their neighbours-to-be when they get moved on to permanant accomodation in a social neighbourhood. Some of them end up in the Towers.
Some of my neighbours haven't slept in several nights and are coming unglued around the edges. I can quite easily see the news in the local rag when one of the geezers from the Towers goes over there and punches someone's lights out.
Several of the blokes go to SuperGran when I'm out at work and complain they've not slept and she tells them I sleep with my windows shut, and they express wonder that I can. It's not pleasant; I classify myself as a fresh air fiend and close the windows at bedtime and open them again when I wake.Today's cunning plan is a mixture of the tedious (getting the groceries in), the pleasurable (the chazzers on the way to the groceries) and the really pleasurable (playing on the lottie).
Right, this ain't getting the baby a bonnet, must have brekkie and hit the street.......have a good day, everyone. GQ xxEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
