At least your grocery bill won't cost the earth twofishes eh? I hope your hearing results in you being able to complete uni. Please let us know how you get on. You don't have to change who you are just because others around you don't share the same sentiments. Quietly go about your business with your home cooking and hopefully it might just rub off on the rest of the family. Maybe if the parentals are getting processed foods etc you could request pizzas/garlic breads, tins of beans, tuna tins etc that way sliding in a few freebies that are 'processed/tinned/frozen/convenience' in the house that you won't mind eating?

Kidcat, I hope your okay and over the shock & distress of DS attack.
We all know your having a tough time of it atm. I'm sure everyone would agree we're hear if you need a good old rant & rave.

We've had some amazing weather the past two hours, Not as good at the previous thunder & lighting showers, But nearly....

Its been chaos here with heavy rainful, thunder and lighting. I nipped the bins over and was shocked to see gritter gritting our road.
Its shocking because when we "really" have some harsh weather, ice, snow alike their no where to be seen.

Just got a letter from HMRC. not a happy bunny. They are charging me £600 for a so called later tax return. I have already sent the appeals off, And got a reply - Plus they have conformed that they have assessed my TR but are still charging me £10 daily.
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy

    Thanks all :)

Princess - maybe the gritters were practising??:eek: I have heard of them gritting in really hot weather if roads melt but never in rain :)
As for your taxes - get proper help and advice, the one and only organisation I never recommend taking on yourself is the tax office, a good accountant can sort if for you and save you a fortune as well, definitely worth the money

DS15 has now slept again and is calmer, I am however now in agony as he has jolted my back, but at least he is no longer raging about.

For those that know her Byatt is having a tough time at the moment, please keep her in your thoughts/prayers :)

Just treated myself to a new kenwood food processor. :) - half price. :D so I've just created a home for it in the cupboard. I do have a kenwood mixer but it's big and bulky so we don't use it much. Not sure whether to sell it or not...

Pleased to say my oven is in full use this afternoon. I'm making pizza for picnic tomorrow, a lemon curd cake for picnic tomorrow, jacket potatoes for tea and with leftover bread, a bread and butter pudding with bananas.

Good afternoon everyone. Had a busy first day back to work. Was nice to be missed by some of the regulars. We have 2 new starters, 1 has already said they are thinking of going to uni in sept. So maybe me reverting back to my contracted hours will be short lived and I will be back to doing extra again.

kidcat I hope your ok, and your son has apologised.

Fuddle, I asked about the kelp but I have to talk to my gp as I am on citrapram and it may not be compatable.

Byatt I hope your able to post soon.

must empty the washing machine and get tea sorted.

    :) Afternoon all.

Please send Byatt my good wishes, too, kidkat, and keep some back for yourself and your poorly back.

Princess, I'm baffled as to why the gritters are out. Temps above 31 c are liable to melt tarmac and cause a helluva mess plus ruination of tyres and spattering of tar up onto the bodywork but I'm blessed if I know what gritters would be doing out in the rain. New one on trial, perhaps?

Woman I know had her car glued to the road with melted tarmac, had to be unsuckered by being dragged off by a lowloader and all tyres replaced. 'Orrible mess.

Went to work and then came home and played Tetris with my countertop freezer which is now rammed with h.g. veg and blackcurrants. Must.not.buy.more.YS.stuff.to.freeze.

Been a bit cooler today with a pleasant breeze. So nice.

Off to do something creative with food......you'd be amazed what you can get away with when you don't have to account to a partner/ family for your choices. If it doesn't work out brilliantly, I'll eat it anyway and just not do it again.......:rotfl:
