I'm still here too, reading nearly everyday but not posting a lot.
We've had all the seasons here today, sunshine, snow, hail and rain, oh and icy paths this morning. And a viciously cold wind. Still went out twice with the dogs though. So lovely that the evenings are getting lighter.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Sheila - I'm still here too! Just been busy with scraping the boat every bit of dry weather we get & sewing the boat cushions when it pants! I've not had anything special to post so I've just been lurkingSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Possession wrote: »Feeling a little overwhelmed...half the upstairs floorboards have to come up on wednesday for electrical work before carpets can go down, and just found out the only time the builder can start our kitchen knockdown etc is tomorrow, so a wall comes down tomorrow and need to move everything from that part of the kitchen. As yet have no idea what the kitchen will look like or even what we want it to look like! We need to reuse at least some of the cupboards though. On a plus note the rabbits' mansion is almost done so at least they have somewhere nice to live.
I second the wine suggestion Possession. It's the only way to go. And takeaway chips.
So happy for your DS Savingqueen, such an important thing, I hope he's happy there.
I need a photo of your sage green Nutty, wondering about that in our spare bedroom of the house that's going to be hubbys study.
Have been trying to fix my plasterers mobile phone... don't ask me how I get involved :rotfl:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Miss Stilty picked a pale sage green with a darker sage green as an accent for her room when we moved last summer - we liked it so much we adopted it for all of upstairs although Master Stilty's room has a wiggly line round it with dark sage below for grass and pale blue above for sky to go with his dinosaurs. I can recommend it as a delightfully restful and calming d!cor to live with, it is also a great background for Miss Stilty's art collection (for anyone who doesn't know the eccentricities of our small person, she buys prints - proper artist ones, generally limited edition - with her birthday and Christmas money and any other money she can 'smile' out of grandparents! and yes you remember right she is still only 5, well for another 3 weeks anyway!) Since our walls are pretty much covered with her collection we are really lucky that she has great taste in art.
If anyone is watching Justin's House on cebeebies on Sat at 11am - look out for a small enthusiastic person in a white dress with horizontal grey stripes on the front row left (lookng from audience to stage) as that is Miss Stilty herself - she got the chance to go see the filming of a couple of shows last year with a group we belong to, and even bumped into the man himself - he was a star and even sang her the Mr Tumble Hello song - Hx0 -
Wow Stilty! I bet little miss really enjoyed meeting Mr Tumble. I have learned so many Makaton signs (which I'll probably never use!)
I watch some of the children's progs as 'research' for my job - serving small children, it helps to know about some thingslike which colour headband Leonardo Ninja Turtle wears, and all the characters from Bob the Builder! I'm going to set the recorder as I'll be at work.
