Just wanted to share with you all -
when I came out of work tonight around 5pm there was the most beautiful sunset ever! The sky was covered in pink fluffy clouds with bright turquoise bits in between, then it changed to a gorgeous gold and eventually the clouds became wispy and pinky-orange. Morning Toughies, got back from various Zebra sitting, daughter visiting things late yesterday afternoon and am off again tomorrow morning to do 2 days Zebra sitting on Tuesday and Wednesday so trying to read all and sort out house, laundry, cooking, life etc.etc.etc. busy busy busy!!!
I've not had access to a computer while I've been away so sorry for being AWOL and missing what is happening. I try always to make positive comments and be as supportive as I can and really do feel that there is room for every one of our diverse and wide ranging personalities and life experiences on this particular thread and that NO ONE should feel they are not able to post, for ANY reason at all. It is very difficult to keep everyone happy all the time however and when a few of our friends do disagree and not feel comfortable with each other it shouldn't cause anyone else to interfere. Personal differences are best left to the people involved to sort out. Having said that though I really do feel that Personal Messages should only include what would be acceptable to post in the public domaine and NOT spite, ire and general nastiness. It is so very difficult when people pass comment on a spat without actually knowing the causes and reasons behind it and really none of our business. I hope very much that it is ended now and that we can be amicable and settled and go on from here.
FUDDLE sorry for not being in touch before but I just haven't read until this morning, will PM you and finalise arrangements for our meet up later on this month, really looking forward to seeing you again and catching up on life over a delicious cup of coffee, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning all (just)
Feel almost human after yesterdays day at home - managed to sleep most of it but did get out to do some grocery shopping. I've stripped beds, got the house hoovered, washing out and cooked some jacket potatoes for quick meals during the week. DD2 is coming to the hospital with me and Dad today - she's in for a shock when she see's Mum but she needs to see the reality.
Mum was still very sleepy yesterday and they're considering another op, surgeons are doing their rounds now so we'll know what's going on when we get there for visiting. She was allowed a cup of tea yesterday - mum does love her tea, she managed a few mouthfulls and Dad was allowed to feed her some jelly (which she declared "disgusting" but managed a good few spoonfuls) She was asking for me and DD's so I hope she's awake enough to realise we're there today.
Have had the time to sort out oyster cards which will help with the cost of travel, at the moment it's costing me £50 a day to get there and back, needs to be done but I need to be savy with the spends where I can. Have found the water dispenser in the hospital and have packed my backpack with snacks and extra drinks....I have my crochet today too, I'm not good at sitting doing nothing."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. I hope it's good news today Pooky.
I have cleaned my oven twice. I'm going to take the rest of the year off now.0 -
Oven cleaning is horrible. I never attempt it without Oven Pride and Astonish paste. Not a job for a Sunday Possession
can you recommend a good cleaner? Maybe the clue to the answer of that question is that you had to clean it twice
Red sky at night Shepherds delight MrsCD and it certainly has been a glorious day here today.
The day started with a home made face mask of honey and cinnamon (cinnamon is good for the pores) a banana smoothie for breakfast and then a green tea. I'm trying to get into the weight loss zone.
A few odd jobs around the house, a trip to the garden centre and a few more jobs round the house and I'm now ready for the meat and gravy to come out of the slow cooker and on to my plate with some veggies.
I will be making celeriac soup a little later on so it is ready for our meal tomorrow night.0 -
Ooooohh sounds scrumptious, can I come to supper, pretty please????? xxxxx0

good evening everyone. We have had a very boring day here, just spent 3 hours asleep this afternoon! Earlier we made it to mr a, not somewhere I go often and now you will understand why. OH bought me a jumper and a pair of leggings - all very nice of him but there were quite a few other items in the trolley of his and we spent £60..... I mean the jumper and leggings were admittedly £18 but the rest I just cant explain why we he bought it. He is very happy with his huge stash of crisps and sweets and cakes. And new slippers again as said puppy ate his ha ha!!
So Take care everyone, will pop by later xBSC member 137

I used Astonish and the Lakeland one Fuddle, and brillo pads and wire wool. It ain't perfect but it's a great deal better than it was. Nobody is allowed to use it now before we move so we'll need to eat cold value rice pudding (we have a lot of that).0
