Hope you get cat news soon Pooky.

A little rant if I may. Our buyers' mortgage is STILL not approved and it's driving me to distraction. I need to just get it all over with!

What a joke Possession! Hope it doesn't delay everything now you're all in full moving mode.

My gorgeous ginger boy is currently under the knife having his amputation - a relief to know he's being sorted. The xrays showed so little bone left before the joint that pinning and plating was a very risky idea - they were prepared to give it a go but couldn't offer more than 50/50 chance of it mending properly....he'd then be spending 12 weeks in a crate in order to maximise the chance of it healing....or they could amputate and he should be up and walking around confidently in the next couple of days. It's a no brainer really - he's an active cat, he's also a very nervy stressy cat and 12 weeks in a cage wouldn't do him any good.

Since he was a kitten he's always had long legs and skits along like he's trying to control 16 extra legs...we've always joked "Jasper - him with too many legs"....how ironic! Just waiting to hear the op's gone well and I might be able to sneak in for a little stroke later depending on how he's doing.

I've done some work, got the toilet cistern on the floor whilst DH and DD go and buy the new bits (hopefully I can put it all back together without any leaks) and am full of DD2's cold.....life's fun!

Oh pooky hugs, I know I would be a total wreck waiting to hear.

Possession are they first time buyers? We waited till last minute before our company declared and then deposited the money into the solicitors bank the next day. First time buyers are treated differently it seems

Having one of those days when time seems to speed up and feel like nothing has been done. I have been to 2 supermarkets, one the £40 deal and spent a couple of hours proofreading DH's assignment, washed up and few odds and ends and soon be time to collect the children. Feeling really washed out, did lots yesterday and went to bed too late.... early night for me tonight.... can't wait! Have a massive sugar craving (probably due to tiredness), just had 2 boiled eggs so hoping they will keep me going til dinner.

Pooky, I hope you hear soon that all is well. I'm sure he will be up and about in no time. One of my friends had a cat that lost a leg and you would never have known, he was as lively as ever!
Nutty, how are you feeling today?
Possession, that's mad, how long till you move?

I've been to the Doctor, and yes I have 'a flu type virus' and have to rest. That's ok for a day or so but I get very bored! I'm ok at the moment but come tomorrow? I have also been given a nasal spray to try to stop the snot running down the back of my throat and some cream for my nose that is all crusty inside (sorry if that's TMI).

Going to make jamaican red been stew for tea, I need something flavoursome and warm!

Hi everyone, its a back to work day today. Havent done an aweful lot, infact I did as little as possible!!! OH rang to check on me. I have to attend a managers meeting in Leicester tomorrow, so OH will be driving me as I really don feel up to it. Is a mandatory thing reguarding the new gambling laws being introduced, shame the internet don't have to follow the same rules, but parliament always forget about it.

Tonight we have puppy classes, DD is helping as I am a bit tired really for it.

Possession when DD was buying her house, as a first time buyer it is far more paperwork just to get the mortgage accepted. They look into everything, and do employer checks and check exacly what they are spending there money on each month. She had to give 3 months bankstatements and wage slips. This came into effect in July last year. You couldn't make up some of the questions answered.

Well must get some tea on the go for OH.

PS POOKY I hope kitty is feeling better soon, have you approached the PDSA to see if there is any help available???

I have my 3 legged boy home! We've turned our small conservatory into nice safe room for him and I've got a bed on the floor. Sitting here now and he's stretched out between my legs, purring away. He was up and walking 3 hours after surgery! Not sure I'll get much sleep tonight but I'm full of cold so might as well keep him company then keep DH awake.
