Thanks Ginny :) hope your migraine has gone down.
Well done pickle what a clever grown up little man. How lovely of the hairdresser Brett bet she was so proud of him too x

Nutty hope all went well today

Ds2 was ill this morning then completely hyper and over tired. We watched the Lego movie which was better than I thought it would be.
Forced myself to go shopping, felt sick with anxiety, spent £69, everything has gone up nearly had a heart attack. But should get a few meals and the cats are surged for food. Had to get more expensive brand as the one we normally get was sold out. Most of the basic brands had been completely ransacked.

Hopefully will get some sleep tonight, ds2 wet the bed so spent all night sorting him out.

Mrs CD Mrs LW's grandson's real name is Ezra, but when he was very new, a neighbour brought her toddler to see him, and the little girl said she'd "come to play with Baby Zebra" and it sort of stuck :D We all call him Zebra now!

Thanks for explaining, ivyleaf :) I'm sure he's a gorgeous little boy!
My daughter's friend had a baby boy 3 weeks ago, and he was tiny because he was a bit early, but he's starting to make up for it now.

Ok belt tightening required - our ginger boy was knocked over by a car last night - both legs are in a bit of a state but one's just flesh wounds, the other is a nasty break. Emergency vets were fantastic, they got him sedated and pain med'd up quickly to make him comfy. He'll be having surgery on Monday (they won't xray until then as they don't want him having 2 anaesthetics) it's likely he's going to need it pinned and plated.

Ball park estimate of just over £1k so the £340 we've made selling stuff this week is going to a worthy cause! Tax credits also sent us a letter as they'd miscalculated our award and gave us a £280 back payment and I'd got £210 in my short term savings pot.....we have long term savings we can draw from but I'm hoping to channel my inner MSE'er and find the rest without drawing from there......wish me luck!!

Oh Pooky, your poor cat. I wish him a swift recovery, your purse too.
    nutty, hope you are ok.

Can't think who else needed a mention, sorry. I have been suffering from some sort of flu thing, very sore head, sickness and extremely shivery. Not eaten since yesterday morning which is unheard of for me! I have done nothing but sleep!

Presently making a shopping list for DD to go to Ald! which the voucher.

So sorry about Jasper Pooky. :( I hope they can keep him comfortable till the op. That's a lot of money to find. :(

A day of sorting here, and selling too since we visited the house we are buying and realised that some of our furniture just won't fit. Not surprising since we are downsizing. But the retired couple who are selling were lovely, and since they are moving to a (very upmarket show house) mobile home on a retirement village, they don't need most of their stuff and will leave the items we want. So no need to buy cooker, wardrobes, single beds. We were lucky like that with the first house we ever bought too, which gives me a good feeling as we loved that house.

    Hi Pooky :)

Sorry to hear about your poor little cat. My George had his leg pinned years ago ( he fell out of a tree and caught it on the way down , he was always a graceful cat) The vet did a wonderful job and he lived to a ripe old age, expensive at the time but worth every penny :)

So sorry to hear about your lil one Pooky. Wishing him a quick recovery. It's a lot of money, but at least you have some to hand, my fingers are crossed for you that the rest shows up too.

Get well soon and take it easy Camelot.

Great news about the house furnishings Possession. Over here we never get to meet the sellers, that's not how it's done. And all our lot are leaving is a dishwasher we'll be removing!

Hope you're doing well Nutty xx

  • Hi Toughies, we've had such a lovely time with Zebra and co and they've just left after brunch. He's come on such a lot since I saw him last at christmas and now has 8 toothies and can bite his food properly. He does enjoy food too!!! GINNY consider him cuddled, thank you love!

Only two more days of workmen with any luck, tomorrow is installation of the new water tank so I'm definitely going out all day for that one and Tuesday is electrician and extractor fan which shouldn't be quite so disruptive. Then we have to work out how to decorate and what to put on the floor but that's not priority and we can take our time and get it right. Not quite so cold here today as it has been so I'm off to walk that hound then come back for a nice cuppa and sit by the stove with a book, heavenly!!! Lyn xxx.

Hi everyone, ive been rather sleepy since yesterday. The OP went well, they have diagnosed a narrow colon, so I have to eat lots and lots of bran etc. The muscles are very tight, even the camera struggled to get through part of it. I had taken all the meds, but the bowel wasn't clear due to the blockage. so he had to clear it yuck!!! then I woke up in recovery. Thankyou everyone for your support.

Well I am going to have another nap, this sedation stuff if still making me sleepy x take care x
