SQ & Stilty - so sorry I can only offer hugs and as always online support with all your other friends here.

Two nice things today - a lovely bright yellow Primula in flower just outside my front door and a £25.00 premium bond win - Yay!!

I've been decluttering & put a few things on Gumtree so the win and anything I manage to sell will go in a 'pot' to be used for something nice for DH & I - not sure what it will be but I will think of something.

    Hugs to all today

Forgot to say I hope your enjoyed your well deserved tea and scone kezlou, it's nice to just sit and watch the world go by sometimes.

Congrats on your win Camelot , I often think of buying premium bonds as a long term Christmas or birthday present for DDs but haven't got round to it yet. Not sure what the minimum you can get is now, maybe £100?

Drizzle starting here and worse forecast. Dd1 and I off to the village soon to visit Lidly, drop a couple more bags at the CS, pick up library books and find a couple more little pressies for the birthday girl. Dd1 though of making up a little makeup gift as I've already got some bits and bobs toward s it and don't want to give her random stuff for the sake of it so some of her favourite products from the SM it will be :)

SQ and stiltwalker, hugs and heres hopeing things get better for you.

To the winners of premium bonds, well done.

Mrs LW, please post a pic of your wild prim, im envious!!!

Buddie is due to have his operation at 12 today, hes a rather grumpy person as he has had no breakfast, come to think of it neither have I. It seams rude to eat in front of a starving animal, he would be more upset if I did. Just rang DD and she is coming to ours and traveling with me, I just cant cope with taking him in for his premed alone.

DD is after doing one of the sun holidays this year, do any of you know if they can take dogs?? They want to take him with them, they don't drink and just fancy a change of scenery and a nice walk.

    Good morning everyone.

Kidkat both of my DD's seem to be able to live in a pig sty and at 18 and 22 I thought they might have grown out of it. I wouldn't mind but the rest of the house is not like that. I did sit in eldest DD's room last night chatting with her while she was sorting her mess out and cleaning her room. I have to say she made a really good job of it. Both of their rooms are tidy now. DD2's room needs cleaning and they both have some paperwork to sort out then they will be done. How long this will last for who knows, probably not long.

Fuddle the pheasant was lovely. Mum and dad don't like it gamey so they don't hang it for very long. Will definitely do that recipe again.

Chickens11 it's good to hear that your sinus surgery was a success. Unfortunately there is a bed shortage at the hospital and DD's surgery has been cancelled. At least she can finish the antibiotics and hopefully she will be infection free when she is rescheduled. She is disappointed but understands that if the beds are full there is not a lot that the hospital can do.

Glad your OH's new job went well nuttyp. I have been there a few times with my OH and know what worry it can be.

Stiltwalker sorry to hear about your MIL. I have found this forum a great place to offload in the past especially if support in real life is lacking. I'm glad things are a little more positive than you initially thought.

Well done on the BB win camelot1001. Mum and dad seem to have smaller wins fairly often.

Although her operation has been cancelled I have decided to still take some of the leave I booked to look after DD so have a day off today and tomorrow. OH has these two days booked off as well and as he worked all over the festive period it will be nice to have a couple of days together. We have started with a lie in which is a rare treat for us.

It's very and damp outside so will spend the day relaxing and pottering about the house.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

    Hello everyone,

I am plodding on fine so far this morn, your posts helped me more than I can express, thank you so very much. I have never met a better bunch of people. Will just take one day at a time, one hour at a time if needs be.

Car is booked in for MOT tomorrow and it was filthy - been cleaned by a self employed car washing man at the supermarket. I usually try and do it myself - hence it hasn't been cleaned for months! Couldn't face it today so paid for it and don't feel at all guilty. However I couldn't bring myself to fork out for an internal clean as well so now the weather is a little less chilly and I have just had a cuppa, I will hoover etc myself. Then a warm up and couple of chores indoors before meeting 2 friends for a cuppa via school pickup. I think one friend has told the other I am feeling blue and being sweeties as they are have invited me.

Congrats to the 2 premium bond winners! Great news!

A friend and I were chatting at school gate and saw a rainbow - without any rain??? and simultaneously heard the church bells. My friend always thinks of her dog who passed away last year when she sees a rainbow so we had a little hug and remembered her. I always think of good luck when I see one so I am passing on rainbow vibes to you all (and keeping just one colour for MOT tomorrow!)

Good for you had a restful hour to yourself kez, hope you are better today?

    How are you today stilty?

Hope OH's appointment goes/has gone well ginny.

    Be kind to yourselves today....

Congratulations on the Premium Bond wins. Camelot £500 is a nice tidy sum towards a holiday. :T

Hugs to SQ and Stilty as with everyone else I offer you my online support.

Ginny, It surprises me how I put up with the hours of waiting around in hospitals. I usually take my knitting. Glad I did not just before Christmas as my arms were a bit useless after them using me as a pin cushion.

I have to go to the Withenshawe Hospital again tomorrow. I seem to get nice drivers going there.

Thinking of you Nutty while your pup had the op.

Hope your feeling better Kez. Remember the Irish comedian who used to have L & R on his wellies. How about I knit you some gloves with G and B on each hand. It may stop you leaning on the wrong one? :rotfl:

    Afternoon toughies,

    SQ hugs
    Camelot how lovely
Ginny - hope today goes ok for OH
Nutty - I dont like going to the vet alone either, some places do allow pets on the sun holidays but you often pay extra
Kez -hope you are resting today

Having a yuck week, big car is having warranty work done which has left me using DD tiny car which isnt running right, kids back at school which I dont enjoy and lots of fiddly running around to do. Then to top it off we came home this morning and someone had managed to open the back door, big muddy footprints on the floor and the door left wide open, both raggy kitties had been outside and were muddy and wet, thankfully whoever it was has got to the hallway door and met the doggy, turned around and left.
It has meant I had to take the locks out of the door and buy replacements which I could have done without today. I had originally planned a nice sit with a cup of tea, and feet up for a guilty hour.
