Sorry Kidcat - totally self absorbed there - what a rotten thing to happen, give your arthritic old friend a hug from me and I hope you are not too badly shaken - Hx0

We are all here for you, to vent, rage, cry, whatever.0

OH stiltwalker how awful, it sounds very like my uncle who passed a couple of years ago, very similar in that they were initially optimistic but then operated to clear bowel and the news was bad, he managed less than a week after that. I hope DH can be persuaded to stay, as long as your mum can help you, in the long run it will help him grieve.0

Kidcat - DH is going to stay a few days - its was my dad I was hoping could be persuaded to stay rather than turning round and driving straight back. X0

Stiltwalker - so sorry that the news about MiL is not what you had hoped for. You and your family are in my thoughts.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Sorry to hear about your MIL Stilty. I wish I was close enough to help out but by the time I managed to reach anywhere near your house it would be time to turn round and come home for the school run. I hope Granny Stiltwaker can be kept comfortable and pain free.0

So sorry to hear the news Stilty. Maybe this is the kinder way for your MIL. I hope for your fathers sake he will at least stay over night it is a long way to do the journey both ways. We are all thinking of you.
Kidcat hugs. I know what can happen with these sort of things it hits you later. Give your dog a hug from me too. I have only ever had one dog and she saved us from being burgles more than a few times. They have no consideration these garages I know you car is like out legs to the rest of us.
SQ I think I am in need of a like minded friend pity we are so far apart.0
