:T:T:T Nutty - so pleased for you & OH - what a difference to 10 days ago!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

nuttyp So happy for you both
:):)
savingqueen Hope DH is all right. I take it you think he's saying he's fine just so as not to worry you!
Just popped on to say good morning, not posting much today as my brain's not in good fettle today and I keep typing things wrong0 -
really heartwarming to know that so many people were pleased to see him. Do you know if many others have found something else yet? Fingers crossed. I was driving down a local road a couple of days ago and passed a parked van with Citylink livery. Hope he wasn't a self employed driver who is now stuck with the lease. I saw another van around which obviously had been a Citylink van but which had had a hasty paint job blotting out the sign. Hopefully that meant the driver has been able to pick up work from another firmIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Hi everyone,
everything went smoothly first day back to school, very organised which was just as well as DS8 suddenly remembered he had taken his reading book out of his school bag over the holidays and put it down somewhere - just found it in time! DH went to work ok so hoping he is ok, will keep an eye on him at home.
Great to hear about Mr Nutty's first work morning, good luck to him. Great start to the new year. Enjoy your week off nutty.
Chatting to my friend outside school for so long we ended up having a cuppa in supermarket caf!. I resisted my usual posh coffee even though my friend had one and resisted a teacake, ditto with my friend and just had a tea. Lovely to get out of my hermit like state although I had have a few tears (and a stare from a woman because of) when my friend asked about my wider family over Xmas. Still feeling wobbly but know it will pass.
Having leftovers for lunch, last of gammon scraps, end hunk of bread and last of melon. Need to go and hunt some school trousers for DS10 and some plimsoles at same time for my friend's son and couple of food bits we need. Quick tidy round before I leave as well. Anything else is a bonus until school pickup.0 -
Great to hear Mr Nutty's job is starting well - hopefully he will soon be back behind the wheel and out by himself again soon thoughMust use my stash up!0

nutty :j:j:j:j OH job :j:j:j:j
fantastic news!!!
Kids and OH are back at school / work respectively. Its so strange not having them here.
New years eve we splurged out and went to see the hobbit at cineworld, free parking and big discount so not to bad. Came home and ignored the world. Kids stayed up till about 2 then we collapsed in bed. But we had fun playing games and watching another film.
We had a slight incident with behavior and i ended up being thrown on the floor. Child involved realised what they had done and was so apologetic. So now my whole body is in agony. Can't move my right wrist properly so have had a support band on for about 6 days. Fingers crossed it will heal soon. Sprained my ankle falling down a gutter, swear if i was a drunk i wouldn't of fell over :rotfl:
On the bright OH's van is finally taxed, only been trying to do it october last year, and web site is back up and running, only took four hours this morning of shouting at the pc.
Tree came down yesterday, we were all gutted about it as we enjoyed christmas so much.
Well best get to the shops and buy bread, we have nothing in literally.0 -
Oh dear Kez, hope you're OK.
Have just made my butter, and without exploding the Kenwood too! There is, ahem, a lot. A very lot.0 -
Afternoon, everyone, been 'away' for what feels like ages, but hitting the ground running with everything OS/MSE this week. Goodness knows what I've missed, but hugs to anyone who fancies one, especially you kezlou - hope the bruises mend soon hun!
Christmas went smoothly for a change, we went away for a week, lovely break - just what we all needed, all down to earth now with littlies back to school, DH/DS at work etc. Spent time this morning with DSis, DD and DD's baby, brief hour to myself then back to school, hey ho!

Afternoon all
Ivyleaf - hope you're ok x
Kez - Hope that wrist heals soon too!
SQ - Maybe DH was anxious about his return to work. Big hugs to him.
Cheapy - Nice to see you back!
Possession - I like the idea of "a very lot" - made me smile!
Lovely to be back in a routine today - DD2 is at her work placement today, DD1 isn't back to Uni until tomorrow so a gentle ease back into the week.
Popped to Mr A's to fill the fridge - loads of free range eggs reduced - dated until the middle of next week, maybe they'd over ordered? So lots of egg based meals this week. Picked up some pork steaks to do DH a nice meal for our wedding anniversary on Wednesday (13 years), can't be bothered to go out for a meal as we know a home cooked will be much nicer and the bonus being we can eat it in our jimjams!
Done a few hours "work" but have a really sore neck so bending over my cutting board isn't pleasant - will go attack the ironing instead.
HM pizza for tea, got a few bits of pepperoni and a 1/4 chorizzo to use up - will make a bowl of coleslaw to go with it....I don't recall buying the white cabbage so not sure where it came from but it will be used!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
