Certainly can MONNA and it makes my personal world a much nicer place to be and is much appreciated. The Vetty person says that my hound is still physically 100% everything is squeaking and wriggling about just as it should. Having asked us many questions and thought about our answers, we have a senile doggy. He is displaying all the same symptoms that a human with Dementia displays and there are things that can help him, several that we'll try in succession until we find the one that works best. He has bloods taken on Friday to make sure it's not organ degeneration but even if it is, they can treat that too. Thank God for vets eh? So, we start with a supplement tomorrow, we have 10 days worth and if it works on him it will make a difference in that amount of time. If not, something new will be given.
My appreciation of your support can't find words big enough to say how I feel. You are the best bunch of friends that anyone could ever hope to have and I love each and every one of you, thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are magic!!! Lyn xxx.0 -

I'm so glad Docky is well in body at least.
DD is designing her costume. I am being slowly but surely driven mad.0 -

Mrs LW - no matter that your daft old dog is getting dafter, as long as he is physically well and surrounded by your love and care that is all that matters. One life - your life - live it!0

Sending hugs Mrs LW. There's nobody better to take care of him in his dotage.
Off to hospital, see you in a while xxSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Aww Lyn I could hug you, so glad the Dockling is just getting dottier and that there are things that you can do to help him -I would literally have cried if the vetty man had said anything less positive - DH now thinks I am completely mad!
But then again all over my facebook is a report in the guardian saying that online forums are a lifeline for parents of disabled children! - So I guess you lot are just my lifeline - H X0 -
Apologies for not posting earlier but what a massive relief that Docky is not in pain, and it's befuddlement causing his symptoms. Bless him.
Treatments in this area have come on in leaps and bounds in recent years, which is lovely. Animals now have the chance to grow old and grey gently with no sense of helplessness for owners.
I always seemed to manage to avoid having to pick up needle and thread where costumes were concerned, which was just as well, as my skills in this area are not the greatest.
We also moved around, changing schools a few times, which meant that last year's prize-winning costume (acquired for nothing s/h) became this year's prize winning costume in another country/region.
Tomorrow I dose myself with painkillers and get on a bus for the first time in a year. I haven't really had the need to go anywhere by bus as I shop locally as much as possible and also online but I'm really quite ready to investigate shops I haven't seen for a while. I'm meeting up with a young-ish friend who used to be one of my students.
The town I'll be in is a twin town of ours, another new town, but whereas our town centre was sold to private developers who have no interest in bringing in national name shops, theirs wasn't and consequently they have lots of choice that we don't have. Particularly the bargain stores... B&M, HB, X-Catalogue, Officer's Club, Poundworld...Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
