Belated birthday wishes ivyleaf, I hope you had a nice day.

Woke up at 6 am to the sound of water....... said puppy was having a wee on the rug. His daddy had dropped a jacket onto the puppy pad and newspaper, and he was obviously confused and well it just happened. One very sheepish puppy, but all cleaned up now.

I have the most chesty cough now, at least I sm not so snuffled up.

Has anyone seen the news that's just been on reguarding dogs. Any that bark lots, chase postman etc will be given an asbo. Not sure our dog would understand??

Well need to take DD to collage bus stop and then wait for eldest DD to collect me to go and look around the range for lampshades with her.

    take care x

Nutty my friends little dog has already had a warning from the post office, apparently she licks the postmans hand when he shoves the post through, so they are threatening not to deliver anymore. The problem is if you know when they are due within an hour or so you can keep them away, but our post an be any time from 10am to 6pm, she can hardly lock the dog away for the whole day

Have called GP for appointment this morning as my chest is awful and I am hoping to stop it getting worse, now I have to wait for him to call back to decide if they will see me.

Kidcat - tell your friend to get one of those cages for the back of the letterbox, or an external lockable postbox (saves draughts coming in too, as you can seal the letterbox)

    Morning all,

((((((((((( nutty and kidcat)))))))))) get well wishes to you both

We have lovely sunshine again, same as yesterday. Feel very lucky to have such mild weather for end of October. Heating has only been on briefly a couple of times at bath time. Towels all blowing gently on the line, smalls and not so smalls spinning.

The house looks a complete tip again. I should learn not to be surprised on a Monday! I try and do everything I haven't managed to get done in the week, spend time as a family, facilitate homework etc and relax as its my weekend too. Find it hard sometimes getting a balance, weekdays are more routines so easier in a way but I still look forward to Fri pms.

I am flitting from one task to another and not getting far so sat down for a breather and don't want to get going again now! Next job is a use up everything casserole in the slow cooker, bung it all in, turn it on and cross fingers! Then I will complete all the half started tasks before even thinking about other things. Then a new to do list.

take care everyone, sending you a little bit of Essex sunshine

We have a outside wall mounted postbox now, means posty doesn't have to enter our house by any means. I made the mistake of getting a filled bone for him today, he has so far hidden it in the bottom of my wardrobe and got very cross when I tried to close the door.

I visited the range first thing with DD, she has decided to buy a nice lampshade for the entrance hall in the new house. Still not got moved in yet, but that is another problem - the rental property has to be empty by 5th November. I didntt realise they cost so much..... I picked one up and it was 39.99 OMG. Needless to say it is still there.

Well time to sort everything ready for work, I don't feel like going must needs must!!

    Take care everyone x

Greenbee I have suggested the outside box and she is trying to buy one, her letterbox is on the bottom of her door so the basket won't work, it's also the reason the dog can reach because she is such a small dog she would never reach a normal box.

Have been to doctor and am now very much poorer having forgot to buy a prepay certificate. Have antibiotics and steroids to add to extra inhalers. Silly mistake made by rushing and not concentrating.

Kidcat if you apply online on the same day as your presciption I think you can reclaim the charges? Not absolutely sure on that but worth checking. Hope you feel better soon.
Well today my work laptop was picked up and I got my redundancy money, so though officially I am on annual leave and not redundant until 29th, I guess that's it. Feels rather strange and not at all nice TBH after all these years, am having a bit of a blubby day. Trying to find work too which is also depressing. But most of the worlds population is a lot worse off than me so I need to remember that.

    Edit: http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcosts/Pages/PPC.aspx
"If you have to pay for prescriptions while you are waiting for a new PPC and need to apply for a refund, ask the pharmacist for a refund and receipt form (FP57) in order to claim back the costs. You can claim for the refund of prescription charges up to three months after paying. The refund and receipt form (FP57) explains what to do."
Bit of a faff then as you'd need to go back to the pharmacy and see if they would be able to issue you with one of those forms after the event.

The end of one era Possession and the start of a new one. Lots of positive changes ahead for you (but have a good blub and get it out, don't bottle it and let it fester as that's not good for you).

The suns been glorious here all morning, had the doors wide open and got tons of washing done and dry. Managed to get the back grass cut too! It was still very wet but desperately needed doing. The front will have to wait as I just don't have the oooomph to do any more today. Last day of my anti-b's for UTI and I'm feeling 90% improved so hopefully no need for any more.

Lidlee had the reflective polystyrene stuff in that you put behind the radiators to reflect the heat in. A huge roll for £4.99. I've done both DD's radiators this morning, there's plenty left to do our bedroom one and the downstairs hall way. Another job nearly ticked off the list. (Does the list ever end??)

Braising steak in the SC with carrots, onion and parsnips, elderberry wine and a few herby bits....smells delish. Will be doing some chilli dumplings to go in it later. Lunch was a use it up affair of half a jacket potato each, a bit of left over pasta jazzed up with a spoon of salsa, half a slice of pizza that needed using and a bit of fresh beetroot......a strange mix but very tasty and used up all the odd and ends in the fridge.

Now to crack on with some work.

Glad you're feeling better Pooky. And yes you're right of course. On a frugal front I have prepped HM pizzas and flapjacks to go in the oven as soon as I get back from the school run as it's karate tonight (for a change).
Does anyone else have this headachey virus? DH seems to have had it for ages but I'm hearing that it does hang around and come back. Luckily I seem to have mostly missed that one and the children have had it nowhere near as bad as him.
