I've just bought a great big tub of Bailey's fudge for my friends Birthday........pricey gift but she's worth it. £11.50
I've not been around much as it's one drama after another lately, I've just lost a really good friend to Cancer and it's gutted me to be honest.
Changing the subject before I start blubbering again.........we've just got back from the Steampunk festival which was fab. I've put some pics up.

((((((((((((((((((((((PIC)))))))))))))))) so sorry to hear of your loss.
Had a busy couple of days so behind with posts. Just popping by to say hello and offer hugs needed.0 -
Possession, how much of the work that would need doing would show on the survey and maybe be deductable from the price? Or have they already reduced to take account of the windows etc?
Mrs LW, can I ask what size is your polytunnel? We have a space on our allotment where there was a 16' x 6' greenhouse (2 x 8x6) which didn't survive the gales in February, and we're considering a polytunnel instead of replacing with a new greenhouse...would you recommend? What do you have in yours? We're thinking aubergines, peppers, more cucumbers, as we use our 8x6 greenhouse for toms & chillies. TY!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi FLOSS our polytunnel is 12 x 24 and is something I can't reccommend highly enough if you've got the room for one. It gives us 6 weeks either side of the normal growing season and the wherewithall to overwinter crops as well. We leave beetroot, carrots and spring cabbages in to be ready early in the year and we grow peas, climbing french beans, peppers, chillis, lettuces, radishes, parsley which is green and useable all winter, basil which grows like a forest, oregano and always 1 courgette plant in a corner which starts cropping in April. We've had our faliures too, tomatoes go much better in our greenhouse, dill, fennel and coriander all go leggy and go to seed so it's a case of learning what will go best in the soil and climatic conditions in your local area. I think the polytunnel is the most useful thing we've done in the garden, Lyn xxx.0

It's already taken care of in the price I think Floss, the one next door which is almost the same has just sold for £40K more. But DH is getting stressed just thinking about it so imagine how stressed he would be if he did it.
PIC, so sorry to hear about your friend.0 -
FLOSS He Who Knows has just said to tell you that we have to water in the polytunnel every day and that to get the best results that would be part of the growing system. Could you get there to water it that often? and is there water available on the site?0

PIC, so very sorry to hear about your friend ((((HUGS)))
On a happier note, thanks for posting the photos of the Steampunk FestivalI really enjoyed looking at them. There was one not far from us too (we didn't go though) - they called it a "Steampunk Convivial", lovely name! Is it Steampunk Week or something?

Not been around much over the weekend so just catching up! PIC sorry about your friend - cancer is such a cruel disease! Stangely it has been a focus of my weekend though!
Yesterday went out for a friends birthday - she had breast cancer and like to celebrate well each birthday (i guess she always has at he back of her mind she never really knows if it will be her last!) however we went for a very posh (and expensive) afternoon tea followed by cocktails - but the evening was halted by people ending up !!!!!ing! I feel very disspointed today having spent so much and ended up feeling flat and a bit sad!
Spent today with another friend who has had cancer - i was using her insight to help me with an assignment i am writing for work - her hubby made me a lovely (but huge!) sunday dinner - it was great to catch up but so sad to see how much of an affect her cancer treatment has made to thier life!!!0 -
Sheila nice to see you again I had been worrying about you and wondered what had happened. Hope all goes well with your op.
PIC sorry about your friend.
Elona going to and from the hospital seems to take so much of your day. Although I did not go every day and I am now down to every six weeks I do have other hospital appointments too so I have done 3 days in a row.
It can be so exhausting I would not think of moving any were near it. You both have my thoughts with you just keep your thoughts on the wedding in November wonderful to have something to look forward too and your blessing.
I know I will have missed someone it has been a couple of days so hugs for all.0 -

Yes, there is water (1st March to 31st October) and I am down there daily in the hot weather to water the greenhouse anyway, plus my DH has promised to make an irrigation system if we get one 😊2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
