Been meaning to tell you this Fuddle. In the East Midlands a fuddle is where everyone brings something to eat and you all have a party. There are a sort of spontaneous thing. So I propose we all come down to Dorset and we have a fuddle in celebration of Fuddles birthday.0

I'm all for joining in with Fuddle's Fuddle
Wishing you a very happy day.
Since I joined over a week ago, such a lot has happened that I haven't managed to post again. So my quick re- cap is, by the end of this week my husband will know if he has redundancy or re-location, on Thursday the plumber arrives to replace our central heating boiler, and I have been to a Christening and a funeral, plus taken my eighty five year old Mum on the train to visit my sister in Essex.....Oh and in between times I have been teaching my seventeen year old son ( who has high functioning autism) how to use the local bus service, he starts college on Monday and I'd love for him to feel able to do some of the travel there and back independently.
And as I have a mountain of ironing, and re-organising to do before Thursday when our house gets pulled apart, I really should go and start, but I hated joining a thread then disappearing, seems so rude when every one had welcomed me in such a friendly way0 -
Happy Birthday Fuddle.
It's muggy and drizzly here this morning, very spooky looking.
Going to have a bit of a moan now.......
DD is still not listening to any advice regarding medical issues, she is playing ostrich I think but I'm having problems with DS at the moment as well so I'm exhausted with worrying about them both. I still have my DSSs to look after on a day to day basis as well and try to have a normal life for them.........
DS has gone to his first festival with his friends, hopefully this will cheer him up a little but it is making me worry.
I wish we had a stop worrying button I could press, I know worrying is paying interest on your problems but how on Earth do you stop??
Has anyone got a wand I could borrow please?

A late good morning all!
Happy Birthday fuddle! Hope you have a great weekend.
You've had a busy week Lilysue - hope you get some calmer days now.
((((((((((((((((((((((PIC)))))))))))))))))) If I could invent a stop worrying button, you can have 1st press.... bagsy 2nd. Try writing down and thinking about your worries for a fixed period say half an hour and then rip up the paper and do something relaxing or distracting (or both!)
gosh Pooky - not even mince or onions. Still on the plus side, when they have left your "normal" food will taste extra yummy!0 -
PIC, it's part of the job to worry but I have stopped doing one thing which just used to add to my anxiety. I used to take my phone to bed in case of emergency if one of the kids needed me. I don't do it anymore. A real emergency would mean a knock on the door, and the phone right next to me meant I wasn't sleeping properly.
Others will probably disagree with my method, but sometimes you really do have to just let them get on with it. Most of the time, things work out just fine.Spend less now, work less later.0
