Hello, been AWOL and after all my good advice of a couple of weeks ago saying just tell potential visitors that you don't have the room, I got well and truly stitched up this week. Ended up with surprise visitor staying, won't go into details as it may identify me, but its a good job I like my MiL!

Have a had a great week off the paid stuff, two days left. Hope everyone is ok.

Hi all, SQ well done on OH being given a new job albit within the company. Where I work it has been published that 110 shops are closing nationwide, I work for the official sponsor of team England, by a bookie. Well if they get out of the world cup maybe we will get a bonus at the end of the year!! ha ha I wish.

I have tonight off work, and we are taking the kids ten pin bowling, we all get to play for 2 hours for £20, you have to book in advance but its a nice cheap night out. I was up at 230am this morning to reserve out seats on the plane for our holiday, its will be our first ever without children. scarey!!!

Just had to rewash all the washing as some one (OH) put his dirty socks in the washing machine with some that had already been done but just needed pegging out - men !!! I wont say anything as I know he was trying to be helpful.

    Enjoy the sunshine everyone x

Burtha: It was my autistic GS that first called me Monna - his attempt at Grandma. Oddly, now that everyone calls me Monna he has started to say Grandma. KIDS!

I'm getting through the freezer nicely. A couple of empty drawers have appeared. Discovered a quantity of pork mince this morning. Why in the world would I have bought pork mince? I won't tell you how long it has been there. Now, what do I do with it? Any ideas?

  • Mon , pork mince makes nice meat balls, I normally mix a couple of skinned sausages in. Then brown them off before adding some passatta and serve with pasta, rice or mash .
Well done on making space in the freezer, have you had some surprises?

    Morning everyone.

The longest day of the year eh?

DH and I were little rebels last night, one of the boys had a mate staying so the house was busting at the seams (funny how teenage boys take up so much room)

Throwing caution to the wind we had a can of larger each and sat outside as it was warm and as it got cooler we sat in the car on the drive :rotfl:

I felt like I was hiding from my parents .....

It was nice to have a good chat with DH and have one of those what are we going to do next moments that keep us on track to having the same goals and make sure we are reigning in the finances.

Devil dog is now staying quiet until 6am but sods law would have it I'm still waking at first light.

Have a great weekend my lovelies
