Kidcat - the way breast clinics work you generally see the surgeon, then have look/feel then arrange any scans you need depending on what they can feel. Sometimes they are one-stop clinics and can get mammograms/ultrasound done at the same time and then you are seen when the results are back in the same session, other times they then refer you for other appointments in other departments. They will explain it all to you when you get there, so try not to worry too much. They won't know what it is until you get there.0

CompBunny, the granary/country grain flour is also nice mixed in ... and perhaps some sunflower or pumpkin seeds, which Ald* now do? Enjoy your breadmaking; I love mine!
PS Welcome ...0 -
Kidcat, as greenbee explained that's what I did. I went in saw a lady who did a feely test, then I had a mammogram and then an ultrasound by a surgeon, then back to the feely lady who I first saw. All very lovely people, and very helpful x hope all goes well for you.

Greenbee and nutty Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease. I began to think the gp had written something sinister.
I have to say this has been the first mothers day that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Usually there is a dark cloud in the form of my family and also OH never makes any effort at all. This whole breast scare seems to have given him a pause and he made an effort today.0 -
Kidcat, my OH has been exactly the same. He attended the appointment with me, takeing a day off work! We went and had a bar snack after n a wander round mr t. He said he was worried, and I know he was and still is about me. Maybe its taken something like this to make him realise what we have and we should be grateful for!!!

KIDCAT....Im sure you will be fine , I know its such a worry when you find a lump, but the drs dont half get a move on .......Theres so many women out there with breast cancer and its very treatable , alot of the time they are cysts , which I had in my breast 3 years ago , I went and had a scan and was told alls ok...........I go back on April 17 and have my 3 yearly mammogram.........
My sister was gardening and then just felt a painfull lump in her breast on February 18 this year , she got a appointment at local drs , then hospital appointment , all very quick, had the lump removed on 18 March..........She gets her results tomorrow of how the op went.........
Glad you all had lovely mothers day today , the weather was super....Sheila0 -
Thats good nutty - my OH has not gone that far, he insists he wants to come with me, however is only planning on popping home and back. Which means if he gets a job to go out that day he wont be back. My friend has offered to go with me, but needs notice or she wont have childcare.
I have tried to explain that its not that I dont want him there, I just want someone guaranteed to be there IYSWIM.
I have sold all my items on the bay this week - only two old bookcases and a set of shelving, but to have them gone is so good.
I now need to source a new bookcase which has a cupboard underneath, in a lighter wood I think. Then its a matter of waiting for the sofas still0 -
That's the way it happened with me too Kidcat, see consultant first, then mammogram, then looking at results and decision from consultant. It was nothing alarming for me, wishing for the same for you.
Lovely day here, with a long walk in a big park near us in the morning and a truly scrumptious afternoon tea later. We seem to have tired out both children and dogs, job done.0 -
Evening All
Well, here he is -
He so chilled - he is fast asleep next to me. dreaming away! We are all a bit flaked out, we picked him up on the way home from a couple of days in Herefordshire, we had a great time, but the bed was excruciatingly uncomfortable, so we did not sleep well!. We drove back today via a tour though the Black Mountains, it was stunningly beautiful, but very remote, god knows how they live there!
Glad all is well Nutty, fingers crossed for Shegar and Kidcat, and general hugs all round!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
