Good morning ladies
Thanks for all your birthday wishes.
I had a lovely day in the end, despite not feeling 100%. My DS1 came over in the morning and drove me over to see OH, where we all sat outside doing quizzes and puzzles until my poor OH became exhausted.
Had a restful afternoon - I slept for an hour whilst DS1 watched the tennis. DS1 repotted my Christmas tree. It was a 3ft baby when we bought last Christmas, it has grown by at least 1 ft already.
In the evening when DS2 came home we all went out for a lovely meal. Then late in the evening when it had cooled down we watched some daft film called "Kick A**" that the boys downloaded. Far too nice an evening for the cinema.
Well now - here's the plan.
By next birthday I want to lose 3 stones. That's less than a 1lb per week, so it should be do-able. DS1 is a bit of a fitness guru - he does the BMF training that the SAS do (British Military Forces) so he is going to be my personal fitness trainer:eek::eek:
He has promised to be gentle with me.;)
We will dig out the WII, they have bought me a Zumba DVD, and of course we have our exercise bike, multi-gym etc. We will set them all up in our new house.
Speaking of which we are aiming to exchange next week and legally complete on 19th July.:j I am so looking forward to it - although not the actual moving itself. 2 in 7 months is a bit much even for me.
DS1 has been living in rented accommodation/student digs for 10 years now and he is desperate to put down roots and stay put.
We went to see DS2's house again last Friday. It needs a lot of work so it's good that we can all continue to live together for a while whilst we work on DS2's. At least he won't have to live on a building site.
The two houses are within a 5 minutes walk away from each other so I can walk to "work" each day. Good for my fitness.....Although I will be careful with what I actually take on, the physicality of the renovation work should also help me lose weight too.
Anyway I have already done a gentle yoga workout this morning and am going to try and do some exercise later today. I am going to try and do 2 x 15 sessions a day for the first week and build up from there.
Allie - we both have 3 stones to lose and a need to get fit. Let's be each other's diet and fitness buddy......And of course anyone else who wants to join us.
Allie you are doing better than me - there is no way I could swim 10 lengths at the moment. So give yourself a pat on the back.
Are we all enjoying this lovely sunshine - apparently it's here for a while:j:j

Wow LL what a lovely offer, I'd love to be your diet and fitness buddy. I am glad you had a lovely day on your birthday.
My fabbing plans today are:
1. Try a longer walk round my town (funnily enough we call it the Town Walk).
2. Cleanse, tone and moisturise face
3. Another 10 lengths of the pool tonight
Food wise today:
Breakfast - Fruit, tea, apple juice
Lunch - Tuna sandwich
Dinner - Cheese and egg salad with beetroot, tomatoes, HM potato salad and leaves
I have been making up jugs of cordial juice and drinking these throughout the day.
With the heat just now I don't feel like eating much which is a bit of a blessing!!0 -
I managed about 15 mins of Shred style exercise today, generally just messing about with some star jumps, skipping and jogging on the spot until I was out of puff and then some sit-ups and a bit more skipping and jumping. Not sure that Ms Michaels would approve of my half hearted attempts. :rotfl:Mortgage

Allie - you're on.
It begins........;)
Back from visiting OH, left him watching the tennis. I'm going to have some lunch and a little siesta or maybe just read a book, then I will do some more exercise later when it is a bit cooler. Will also have a potter in the garden later.
Not quite sure what to eat today. I'm feeling bloated and heavy and my ankles are swollen, probably the heat but I think first things first I'm going to make a real effort to cut right back on carbs. That might help.
So salad for lunch, then Moroccan Chicken tonight, with Mediterranean vegetables and only a little cous cous. Puddings and snacks will be fruit. And of course lots of water too.0 -
Have to admit I haven't dome my walk today, nor am I likely to go for my swim. Been slightly distracted watching the tennis!! Fantastic match and delighted that Andy Murray won. Barbecue time!!0

So pleased Andy won - what a match! All hard work pays off, well done!

Evening all!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately but I have been keeping up with the news - happy belated birthday LL!
All going well here - lovely weather, my tan now looks like I've been abroad, keep getting asked where! I go brown very quickly and don't burn so a couple of days of warm sunshine gets me a nice colour.
Have managed a swim and a run this week and lots of walking - early this morning it was a 75 min walk with the dog before it got too warm to pick up the car from my friends house (went out for a few drinks last night). Its been too hot for him today - poor thing has just laid panting in the shade all day whilst I've been doing a good impression of a statue lying in the garden!
Fling is going well too - seen him every day this week - actually miss him when he's not here now  What's happening to me!:rotfl:
Only 2 more weeks to go at school and then its the big holidays - hurrah!
Hope everyone enjoys the good weather this week.0 -
Wowee my fabbing has been treating myself to an afternoon of sitting on my butt watching the tennis :j I confess I have no nails left though
brilliant match played in some pretty uncomfortable temperatures. Well done Murray :T
WW I'd really love to brown easily but being fair I don't. I can brown but I have to be careful as I can burn really easily. I got the paddling pool out for the kids and just had to sit cooling my feet off in it
It's been a really fab weekend, lovely weather, BBQ with family, some great sport and (relatively) happy kidsam now just chilling in the pleasant temperature of the conservatory watching the bats swoop overhead (no idea where they live, not in my loft thankfully). They sure are fast, corner like they're on rails!
Going to implement new fast regime tomorrow and see if that helps me
Night all, hope its not too hot and uncomfortable for you. I may sleep downstairs at this rateI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
I had another try at the jogging malarky today and felt a lot more at ease with it than I did on Saturday. I went just on the verge of dusk, so just getting a bit dark and not many folks about and I actually quite enjoyed myself. I had some Podrunner thing on my i-pod and just did mostly walking for 30 mins with a few bits of running when the coast was clear of on-coming people, skateboarders and dog walkers or as I felt like it. I set myself little targets to run to a certain point, be it a lamppost or car along the road and then made myself run on a few more paces than planned.
I really enjoyed the freedom of running to my own ability without the pressure to perform on demand per the Couch to 5K regime, so I think that's quite a good strategy for me to do that a few more times and to build up some confidence and stamina, before doing anything more structured.Mortgage

It's been a hot one today, stifling sat in offices!
I didn't go in prepared today so eating hasn't been amazing although I declined sweets and crisps, which is amazing for me!
Booked in to 2 excercise classes this week and will swim once too. Would like to get back into my running programme but far too hot. May try it later in the week if it cools down. I'm doing the couch to 5k and just finished week 2.
Hope everyone is fairing better in this heat that me xStarting weight: 14st 02lb - 15.07.2013 (WW)
