It might be worth checking with your GP at some point.
I had horrendous leg cramps when pregnant with my DS1 - they checked my potassium levels and they were low. Not low enough to warrant potassium injections though. I was told to up my potatoes and bananas.
Oddly enough by that stage I had already developed cravings for potatoes, especially jacket or mashed potatoes. It must have been my body telling me what I needed.;)
Potassium levels definitely have an effect on muscle function. My OH now has to take a potassium channel blocker to allow signals from his brain to reach his muscles. Since taking this his muscle function has improved a little.
Both my dad and his dad had and do take quinine for leg cramps. Spasms sent blood pressure plummeting causes blackouts. Started in their later life, suspect I shall be heading the same way
I don't eat spuds every day nor bananas.....I don't get it when my legs are covered apart from the very odd bout.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Ok where are you all?
This reminds me of the scene in When Harry Met Sally and he's trying to apologise and she won't answer his calls.

Good morning everyone
The orangutang has left the building.
Just back from the physio so I am all nice and loose and throughly de-kinked.
Only problem is I'm shattered now, so a bite to eat and then a siesta.
Going to make a start on the packing later. Is it safe to pack up the winter woollies.......Or will that be tempting fate.
Have a lovely day.0 -

Still here........
I've not been typing much because of my frozen shoulder.
Physio gave me a lecture about hunching over my lap top to type so I'm now being very good sitting ramrod straight at the desktop. Problem is desktop won't let me access the Harry & Sally link.
Ladies - one word - posture. I really must practise what I preach.:o
I watched the documentary about Diana's dresses last night. Very interesting watching her style evolve over the years.
We all know about the see through skirt and some of the early mistakes, and the restrictions placed on her style choices. But once she had escaped from the Royal Family she dressed so nicely. Much simpler and "younger".
I do think poor Kate needs to try and dress more simply. I know
"Royal Dressing" probably has all sorts of rules and obligations but I do think she looks so uncomfortable "in her skin" at times. Her clothes sometimes add years.
Well today I'm wearing cotton navy cropped trousers, a simple t-shirt and gladiator sandals. Not exactly High Society dressing but cool and comfortable.....0 -

I'm here too
I've been busy sorting out my finances to continue my progress over the next year
Facemask this morning and I'm off work after my leg became very infected and I'm now on antibiotics and told to rest it and not go to work if possible. Went in yesterday but it definitely needs some rest as I could feel the infection make my leg ache all day.

Hello all!
I'm still around but have been very busy with school and The Fling (still going along nicely!).
Just weighed and am still at the 9 and a half stone mark - very pleased with that as its getting on for a year now that I have lost almost 2 stone and by and large its stayed off (with a little fluctuation over Xmas). I'm planning to go on hols (with the Fling) in 2 weeks and we'll be booking something on the weekend so have been buying bikinis:eek:. My tan is quite good now (thank you sun!) - luckily I'm dark/olive skinned so go brown quite easily - things always look better with a bit of colour don't they?
I love the warm weather and so this past week or two has been glorious for me!
Last day of term tomorrow so we're all off on the annual school pilgrimage to Blackpool Pleasure Beach today - 500-odd kids and 30 or so teachers - what fun!:rotfl:
Then its 6 weeks of lovely holidays - just watch the weather turn as soon as school closes!
Hope everyone has a lovely day and enjoys the weather.0 -

Hope you & the kids all had sunblock on Bitsy - it's absolutely baking up here today!!0 -
Hi LL I googled the Fat, Sick and nearly dead and it is really inspiring. I wish I had seen the programme. What channel was it on? I had a look at the website and various clips on Youtube.
I have looked out my juicer and am going to slowly integrate juices into my diet over the next week. After that I go away for 6 days so don't want to do a full 'reboot' but I do intend to work towards it when I get home.
So plan for tomorrow morning - water with lemon and ginger then some Yoga. Then some freshly juiced fruit/veg for breakfast. Probably going to keep the juice simple with carrot and apple to start with.0 -
Good Morning All
Fab Friday - glad rags on - however given the heat I think we should just go for keeping cool and comfortable!!!
White trousers and pale pink top for me.
Allie - I think the programme was on either Channel 4 or 5.
Today we legally complete on DS1's house. I've booked removal vans for next Thursday. I have elected to pack ourselves in order to cut costs and am currently surrounded by bin liners and boxes.
So the juice thing will have to wait until after the move. At the moment I am doing my best to eat healthily and have managed to stick to a reasonable diet. However, the next couple of weeks are going to be more difficult so I'm not going to fret too much over the odd takeaway or ready meal.
Once the move is done and we are settled in then I can really take things a bit more seriously.
TBH I'm struggling a bit with the heat, I'm really feeling that extra 3 stones. This hot spell has really bought it home to me just how much of a strain it is to be overweight. Definitely a motivating factor for me.....
Have a good day everyone.0
