Fab Friday? Well I've spent the day with 60 kids at West Mids Safari park in sweltering heat. Due to issues with the bus the safari trip ended up being in the afternoon (after the bus had sat in sun for a few hours) so I am far from fab, mostly a dehydrated, sweaty mess
Off to cinema tonight with H, least they have air con ;) and a bite to eat somewhere. Will put on a nice summer dress and try not to fall asleep :o

Hope you're all having a good Friday.

LL enjoy packing, I shall be doing it with the kids "helping"

WW glad the fling is still going well, maybe it will become more than a fling? ;)

Allie enjoy your juicing, confess I don't find the sound of them appealing at all :o:o

His missus glad the clip made you smile :)

Had a couple of juices today. I forgot just how much fruit you need! Breakfast was a whole melon juiced (to be fair it was a small one) and some raspberries. I also juiced a whole cucumber and drank some of that for an afternoon snack.

I hate to moan about such lovely weather but the heat really is too much for me. I am finding that I am doing a lot less as everything seems like a huge effort in this heat. Yesterday and today I have found particularly warm. Exercise has been non-existent. Going to go for a swim tomorrow which hopefully will be refreshing.

Just back from my swim. I feel so much better for going. Quite chuffed that I did 30 lengths, albeit at a leisurely pace.

Had a lovely day with mum today, who as usual, treated me to a new pair of sale trousers in my favourite 7/8 length. I am saving them for my birthday city break away in a few months time.

Leg slowly healing and infection very very slowly clearing up slightly. Not too much fabness to report as almost everyone I see says to me, 'what on earth have you done?'. Glad I had my summer dress on today though which I bought last year and I really like wearing.

Some good ebay sales today which is the best fabness of the week as they will go on credit card repayments.

    Happy weekend everyone

    Hi Everyone

    Just a quick update.

I'm turning into a right old scrubber!!

Spent all of yesterday scrubbing out kitchen in new house :eek:

We got the keys on Friday. We knew the house was dirty because it has been empty for several months. Prior to that it was tenanted for 8 years.

Let's just say the tenants weren't too keen on housework.

DS1 spent the weekend lifting filthy carpets and sweeping and mopping floors. At least we can move our furniture into a relatively clean house but I will still need to get some professional cleaners in.......

Hey ho the joys of moving house:D

Sparkles - hope your leg is better soon - sounds nasty.

I have a poorly thumb, don't know what I've done. I think it was a thorn in the garden. Will need to get some antibiotic cream.

Still up to my ears in boxes and packing cases. Not looking or feeling even remotely fab. I ache in places I didn't know had muscles.:rotfl:

LL - Hope your moves goes well and you all settle in ok

I'm back st the Dr's today for another leg review - it is nasty and certainly hurts when I do anything more than rest it at home!

Big sales on ebay this weekend so have parcelled all these up to post after been to the Drs and the boiler has had its service this morning. Better get on with that boring dissertation work while I'm sat around waiting.

Not much else to report really - heavy downpours on the way tomorrow so washing out to dry this morning

Bitsy I think we can safely say its more than a fling now:rotfl: Over 2 months and seeing him virtually every day and....wait for it..... have a holiday to Greece together booked for next week:eek::eek:

It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing on Saturday but I'm very excited now. He treats me really well, makes me feel special and is FIT so whats not to be happy about :)

He's also now officially left my school to be a deputy head elsewhere so there's no need to be so secretive anymore. The cat is out of the bag a bit anyway - last Friday's end of term booze up and his leaving do combined put pay to the discretion on his part, lets just say he's proud of me and wants to tell people, and might have chosen the worst person in the world to confide in - the power of alcohol! Oh well, they have 6 weeks to get over the shock.:rotfl:

Looking forward to a day in the garden - I have two dogs this week (mum and dad went on hols yesterday and left their woofer with me for a week) so there's lots of dog walking going on (when its cool enough) and I'll hopefully go swimming tomorrow.

I need to sort out the holiday wardrobe this week too and pop to the shops for a few bits - not going to buy much though, I have quite a few things already but its always nice to have one or two new things for going away.

Fabbing wise - I spent yesterday giving myself a bit of an MOT whilst the sun was hiding - nails, dyed hair, scrubbed and moisturised, defuzzed and eyebrows sorted. If I could miraculously lose 5 lbs by next week I'd be happy! Oh well, will try to be good and hope for the best.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weather - I LOVE IT!

    Hi

Not been around for a while, I've been feeling pretty down and I didn't want to be glum on here.

I'm struggling to cope with all that has happened to me and our family this year. And to add to everything my Nan (my mums, mum) has just been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes. She is 88 and normally I could accept the fact that she is poorly, but it just seems to be the last straw.

I am off to see the doc on Friday to have a chat about my risks and how to be as healthy as I can, but I am a bit 'whats the point', my mum was healthy, she was never overweight, never smoked, hardly drank and kept herself fit, but she still got ill.

I'm trying to be happy and cheerful but on the inside I feel very heavy hearted.

I'm sorry for the downbeat post.

I do hope everyone else is ok and enjoying the lovely weather, although its about to come to an end, just as the kids finish school for the summer.

Hewie - you've had such a lot to contend with this year, Don't beat yourself up - you're allowed to feel down, its natural. Hope things start to feel a bit brighter for you soon. Big hugs.

Sparkles - good that the leg is on the mend now.

Well, the weather has broken here - big thunder storms woke the dogs up at 6.30am followed by pouring rain, so I'm up early during my first holiday week

Not got a very busy day planned - walking dogs, go swimming, drop the dog off for his long overdue haircut and see the Fling later.
I'm going to write a list later of all the jobs that need doing around the house and try to get them done over the 6 week holiday. Lots of them are silly niggly things that are easily ignored but need doing.
You know me and a list!:rotfl:

I ordered a load of stuff from ASOS last night to be delivered today - I won't keep it all but there was some quite nice long dresses for not a bad price so we'll see what turns up. I'm determined to send back anything I don't love by return post as I'm useless at doing that and end up paying for things that just languish in the wardrobe for years.
I also ordered some sarongs from Debenhams - I'll pick them up in store later on in the week. I don't mind the top half of me but my legs are less than lovely so need covering up!

I'll go thorugh the wardrobe later if the rain stays with us and get all the stuff out I'll be taking with me on hols and make sure its all clean and get things ironed.

Hope everyone has a good day and avoids the thunder and lightning.

Fab start to the day - took the dog out early to avoid the thunder storms - just made it back as the lightening arrived!

Facemask, exfoliate and hair pre wash treatment and hairmask done to make sure I do them rather than not. Then it's on with plenty of study today and back at work tomorrow.

    Have a good day everyone
