    Good morning Ladies

Well today is my birthday. 62 today and I have never felt less fabulous in all my life. :rotfl:

Tummy upset, chest pains, (stress) backache as usual, then my arms and shoulders ache - too much gardening yesterday - when will I ever learn. :o

I'm going to have a nice soak in the bath and then a rest. DS1 will drive me over to see OH - can't face driving today. The plan is to take me out for a meal and cinema tonight. Hopefully if I rest up a bit I'll be ok. I don't want to spoil the birthday.

One thing I am resolved on - my 63rd birthday is going to have to see me fitter and healthier than this.

So ladies starting tomorrow - I'm going to focus my energies on getting fit and healthy.

Not quite sure how I am going to achieve this minor miracle but it is my next major goal........

I will continue to guide and support the boys with the house projects but I've decided that my role is going to be mainly supervisory. No more heavy gardening and heavy work for me, no more wading through endless paperwork.

It's time for this retiree to actually retire.....;)

It's a glorious day here, so I'm going to stop moaning and enjoy the day.
  • Happy Birthday LL:bdaycake:I hope you have a fantastic day.

    Fabbing plans for me today:
    1. Walk to my sisters house (exercise urgently required, how did I get so unfit?)
    2. Swim this evening - 10 lengths probably - working myself up gently. I did 20 lengths last night and combined with my walk yesterday it felt too much!!
    3. Relax in the sun and have some fun:D
    4. Double cleanse, tone and moisturise face

It is a beautiful day here and I hope across the country. Have a great weekend all.

Happy birthday LL - a lovely bright sunny very warm day for you!

As for me yesterday's fabness was zooming through loads of cleaning yesterday while the tennis was on to get it done - worked a treat!

Today - long dog walk for an hour and a quarter, a run in my best time for 4 miles - very warm first thing. Then a walk to town and back for an hour and a half!

Having a coffee and lots of snacks as I'm very hungry!

Will be doing at least 2hrs study this afternoon then another long dog walk and another 2hrs study later on and if I do that it will be very fab!

  • Happy birthday LL.

I was at Aldi waiting for them to open this morning as I had visions of trying to do the food shop later and it being hell!
    It was already packed!

Then nipped to Asda and it was empty....,

Got a very healthy shop, lots of fruit and veg and fish which I really don't like (well not really tried much) so my mission this solstice is to try lots of different foods. My son gets this from me and us v fussy, we struggle with his eating whereas my girls will eat anything and give anything a go!

Have a lovely day to all, I'm planning just to get the washing sorted and then relax and spend quality time with the kids, something I don't get at all in the week.

Also must drink a lot of water and lay of the coke (drink) x

Happy birthday Lessonlearned I hope you had a lovely day.

We had a lovely bright sunny day today and so inspired by another fitness thread on here, I searched out some kit, i-pod and sunnies and headed to the beach to make an attempt at doing Couch to $5k again. Although my enthusiasm was soon scuppered by my ability to actually do the running bits and I quickly gave into just doing the walking. Still I guess the walk and the three minutes of running that I did was better for me than not trying at all.

It is a bit disheartening though to think I have been here before and never actually managed to do the first week in full; considering I'm not hugely overweight and it is supposed to be aimed at complete novices I have a way to go before I can get to do eight minutes of running, far less do this three times in the same week. :(

can you believe at the age of 38 I've NEVER had a spa day? NEVER had a massage or treatment  time to rectify this ;)
Me neither Bitsy and I have 10 yrs on you -have noticed they have deals on the groupon and other similar sites so have promised myself one if they have any near me and if not I may use the birthday money I have left to treat myself before the wedding.

Very hot here! Took the dog very early this morning -she hates this weather -but it was still quite hot. Not much to report other than that. Ploughing on with registering on websites to try and get some customers and hoping it will pay off at some point. DD2 had a hospital appt this week -have been told they don't think it's anything serious -may be her hormones etc given her age. They are monitoring her and we have to go back later this year and see if there have been any improvements, if she gets any worse we can go back asap.

    Enjoy the sun everyone:):)

Well......no study yesterday - just did not feel like it at all even though I'm freaking out a bit with the deadline looming rapidly on the horizon and 9000 words left to write of difficulty!

So.....today with renewed determination I will be in all day studying so I feel better by the time I go to bed and stop freaking out inside!

I have fabbed this morning to make sure it get's done - a long dog walk - v.warm and an exfoliate and face mask currently on with a hair pack them it's on with that analysis section
